I bought a Tactikka and a rechargeable battery for it last year tried it out and tossed it in my go bag. Open it up today and it's not working. Customer support basically said that corrosion is the culprit and the warranty won't cover it. 70 bucks down the drain. Yet the 2 for 20$ LE lights I abuse far worse still work fine. I chose to spend the money on Petzl because it's a respectable brand. Well that's the last money they ever get from me.
Great review, I’m currently having issue with my Aria 2, I put in a brand new set of batteries but when I put on white mode “highest mode” it flashes 2-3x then goes to normal… is there a reason why it could be?
We chose to carry the ARIA 2 RGB over the ARIA 2R simply because of the red, green, and blue light functionality that the ARIA 2 brings to the table for the hunter. The ACTIK is a really great headlamp that lands in a lumen category that we currently don't carry. In the future, we'd like to add it to our current offering for those who are looking for something in that 600lm range. Thank you for the question!
There's a few small differences, but the biggest one is the Aria and Aria 2 don't come with the rechargeable battery. That's why you see the price difference. Both Aria models are more shock proof and waterproof, along with having red, green, and blue light options. We normally recommend the Aria 2 with the rechargeable battery (sold separately). You can find them on our website!
A2 has 460 Lumens while A1 is 350 . Also he did not include the Petzl ACTIK CORE or ARIA 2R 600 which are their best hybrid models than go up to 600 Lumens.

The big difference is the lumens, as alalnajjar2187 mentioned! I think A2 is worth the extra 20 bucks for the 100 additional lumens of illumination.
