  • Koenigsegg may not be as popular as Ferrari or Lamborghini but when it comes to producing high-performance vehicles, the Swedish automobile producer is surpassing them to become one of the most powerful companies in this industry.
The establishment has produced in the past 25 years some of the most powerful and amazingly beautiful hypercars in the world which testify to the car's perfection.
This story is about the founder, Christian Erland Harald von Koenigsegg, who was born on 2nd July, 1972 in Stockholm, Sweden, as the son of JK Energiteknik CEO Jesko von Koenigsegg and fashionista Brita Aasa.
Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Christian never doubted what he wanted to do, and his parents were completely supportive. They sparked their son's interest in practical engineering by encouraging him to repair monkey bikes and mopeds, as well as tune boat engines.
The first Koenigsegg factory was established in 1994 in Olofstrom, Sweden. Since the country was just coming out of recession, people questioned whether starting a luxury car company was feasible. Whatever you do, good or bad, people will always have something negative to say about you, and that's life. Christian knew he had an impossible task at hand, but that didn't stop him.
It's been over 25 years. Now Koenigsegg has managed to compete with Ferrari, Bugatti, and Mclaren to become one of the leading supercar manufacturers, thanks to Christian Von Koenigsegg, the man whose relentless passion allowed him to fulfil his dream.
To learn more about his journey and how the brand made it big, watch this video till the end.

The title is an insult. Calling his art merely “supercars” is a vast understatement. He builds not even hyperscars anymore, but megacars.

Mega and hypercars are the same thing. Anything above a 1.030hp considered hyper performance. Soon they will break 300mph top speed - entering a new category

Well kinda, a bit closer to the actual pronunciation, but neither is precisely correct… Plus Christian Koenigsegg has said any pronunciation is fine to use, it’s not a big deal. Funny how there always has to be someone acting smart in the comments “correcting” someone’s pronunciation, when in all reality it truly doesn’t matter… It just personally gives me a bit of a chuckle knowing that you have corrected someone yourself, and yet even your correction of their pronunciation still isn’t 100% correct… So why not, I may as well be obnoxiously pedantic like yourself and pointlessly correct your mispronunciation just for some “ironic” giggles…
