Another interesting video. My parents both wanted to be buried and the churchyard runs along the entrance to the allotments where my father had a plot. It was his grandfather’s allotment before it passed to him and he went almost everyday for 90 years. He always said he needed a plot where he could watch everyone he knew heading to their allotment. Thanks for another great video. I am wondering why there are so many hight barriers in the UK and what they want to prevent happening in the car parks? Greetings from Elizabeth, Norway.
Different reasons - some to keep out motorhomes and others to keep out travellers who travel in large groups and cause disruption. Travellers have in the past taken over large car parks in seaside towns causing havoc during the holiday season. Councils responded with height barriers which unfortunately targets everyone. More recently the huge increase in people using campervans has made it more difficult for local people to park.
We never buy salted butter. I’ve been told that salt is added to butter to cover up the taste of inferior butter. Most chefs also prefer unsalted butter.

my mother has five pieces of furniture from the 1600s. one piece is a kind of kitchen cupboard known as a court cupboard and they would have been popular in the 16 and 1700s. the reason why i brought this up is that you see churches of that era in many of these videos. the court cupboard has been in my mothers area since they had been hand made by a carpenter in 1678. the date is carved on there fronts along with the newly marred couples names of the original owners of the furniture. last year my mother noticed by the door of our old local Norman church a grave stone with there names on it. we have there furniture and its in as good condition as it was in 1678. i wonder if ikea furniture shall last that long. I have no one to pass the 1600s furniture onto so that's a dilemma since its been in my mothers area for such along time. id hate to think they would end up being sold off in auction and end up far away in America someplace. we have photos of our ancestors standing in front of the 1600s court cupboard in 1912 with a little girl and one man. later the little girl would be become a nurse who in the 1940s was captured by the Japanese and kept in horrible prisoner of war camps there. the BBC made a tv series about the women's ordeals in the Japanese prisoner of war camp. the BBC tv series was called Tenko.
@@annbletcher9410 its the issue of the style and colour of the furniture that puts people off in todays modern high Tec world from wanting it. its dark brown colour that puts people off from having it inside there very modem homes. it sits nicely inside my mothers old house along with her 16th century four poster bed she sleeps in but today not many want that type of design of old furniture. for them something from Ikea is just the right kind of thing for there homes. its what they all like. that's why after i have gone. hopefully someone locally will want to buy it. i really do wish for this.
Hi from Spain. Much better without the incidental music. That is one of the problems with many TV programmes now, the music just drowns out anything that is being said. It would be nice if you would point out for the benefit of those who don't know, the different types of roof beams in old churches, and the brickwork on the walls of old cottages.
I saw that. Best news I have had all week. Stupid idea that has cost lives. I wonder what they will do with those already converted. Leaving them as they are would leave them open to legal challenge I think as they have now acknowledged they are dangerous.
I saw a road that ran by the parking lot at the mill and curved around the mill, ending at a copse of 5-6 trees. It looked to be a lovely spot and it put to mind (what mind?) the question of what color(s) you would have on your new van. Because this channel is all about the Little Red Camper, that choice is fairly obvious. You could do fair with a green camper in the desert southwest of the US (New Mexico) but even better in a light tan, like dust. As would a pinkish orange color. You are not in New Mexico, however, and you don’t usually express any desire to hide. I like to hide, lay low, be passed by and the only ones I would like to see me are the police. So I will go with a NATO Green and a Sand colored roof. Sand colored hood, as well. Maybe the other way around. It’s not about me, though I do flip it at every opportunity. DO OVER! Have you decided on the color(s) of your van? Upholstery? Velour? Leather? Light? Dark? You can get heated seats with fabric upholstery. This may be kept under your vest until the reveal, which is fine. Just thinking out loud and wondering if you have come to any conclusions. It has been said of late, at least for a year now, that a third of the rainforest has been leveled for cattle farms for the ever popular leather upholstery. So I don’t encourage leather seats but never liked them anyway. Too cold when it is cold and hot and sticky when it’s hot.
I like red and white because it stands out well on video. We are never bothered about hiding away but understand its a good idea to blend in at times. Interior will be bog standard. We spent a lot of money last time on bespoke upholstery but there is not much point as we always cover it to protect it. No leather.
@@LifeistooshortCK - I hear you. I don’t want to say that I have never been bothered but that would be begging for trouble. It is always amazing to me that people actually wonder around the world, looking for an opportunity to make or create trouble, destroy what they can and take anything that is not nailed down. I have seen what some parents have done to their children and why those children grow up so very angry. There is enough ugly and scary in me that give people pause but as I age, I am less threatening. Not enough, yet, but I have noticed that it takes some a little longer to decide that it is not worth it and I have encountered a couple who don’t look away from my gaze when considering trouble. It’s a matter of time, I think. I broke another vertebrae a few weeks ago and now surgery is required. Typically, most people recover well from the procedure and I have recovered very well so far from every spinal surgery. If I return to normal and walk fully upright again with no cane, I will benefit from a return of my scariness. Also, it will make this kind of travel a lot easier. At the moment this is my reality and I prefer that I am overlooked for the most part when I am locked down for the night. I can certainly purchase a gun or two and a permit to carry concealed, and I am a very good shot. We learned young so that we had a healthy respect for guns and there were no accidents in our home. The truth is, however, that I will stop a human and animal if I have to but I will not kill anything. It’s not a question of wait and see, depending on the situation but a fact. So I don’t have guns and have zero interest in carrying one. Having a gun that you are not sure you can/will use is the same as carrying the weapon that will be used to put you down. I am not in a hurry for that. So when I am not awake to jump in the driver’s seat and run, I would prefer to be invisible. Strange ideas for one who wants to travel, but there it is. In time, the excess anger and disrespect of authority will pass. In my lifetime? Unlikely but possible. YOU two are an inspiration. I am becoming a coward. I will wave at your red van on the road and if you pass a tree or a rock going the opposite direction, give me a wave!

Cheers Lee 🙂👍
Of topic ...smart motorways are to be scrapped!!

@@maobfh will do! Good luck with the surgery and speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Great vlog, but I don't agree about the butter. Salt KILLS the real butter taste and is only added to give butter a longer shelf life. 🙂
I have never really detected much taste without salt but then again I have only really tried supermarket butter 👍
Now we know where the crime scene was, police scientifique should be called ???
