I just realized, if Foreman never got House out of prison, Wilson would've probably died from cancer before he got out
Let's assume that one season is a year, Wilson got news about cancer in episode 19 or 20, that's about 8 to 9 months after House's parole, so nah, he'd be around by that time

I used to be so obsessed with watching House in High School. I even took medical terminology and extra biology. In the end it wasn’t the show’s medical field that was so inspiring . But Hugh Laurie’s amazing acting ability portraying the type of attitude of every doctor in the US wishes they could openly be and not get in trouble.
Nice, my health scoence teacher lets us watch house and tells the wildest stories. He also complains alot but in a funny way. If only you took him :P

To all the people who want House MD to return.
Yes, the character and writing were clever, but:
What was there left to tell? House went through two relationships, one of them fake, rehab, almost relapse, definite relapse, had three different teams, broke up with Wilson twice, went to prison and faked his death.
Where do you go from there? Which characters and situations are there to introduce that could top this without jumping the shark?
I think the show ended where it needed to.
It would have been nice to see him find some sort of peace. The ending situation isn't exactly permanent or definitive, what happens to House after Wilson's death?

The show could have ended on a happy or a downer ending. Both of which would have satisfied one half of the fandom and dissatisfied the other. And a vague ending like in The Sopranos would have pissed everyone off.
House gets to spend some time with Wilson and seems happy, but it isn't permanent. It will only be for five months. And what happens then? Well, either he falls down and kills himself, or he finds some form of peace. Or it is a new life between joy and depression. I don't think the show could have answered that satisfyingly. They kept it vague so everyone can imagine their own ending but gave a definite response to what immediately happens at the end so people won't be disappointed.
It has even already started with the end. Some people have theorized that House did die and Wilson is just imagining him.
@@wjzav1971 I doubt a happy ending would have annoyed anyone. We'd seen House be miserable for years. It didn't need to be him sailing into the sunset with cuddy. It could have just been him, Chase and Wilson going out for a beer after resolving all the other plot lines, to show House learning not to torch his relationships.

That's so stupid logic. You really think the writers couldn't come up with anything, you think House experienced everything the is to experience in the show.
I have a confession to make. I consider myself a huge House fan, I've bingewatched it multiple times, but I've only watched the final season once. I could never get past season 7 cause watching House being that hurt and miserable, with Cuddy gone and Wilson dying, everything is too much for me. One of these days, I hope I can muster up the strength to rewatch the final season.
I'd definitely recommend it.
Season 8's just as good, though it is weird not having Cuddy in it anymore.
Neither have I. Its alright though, we get to stay in our happy places. I have the same problem with season 8, constantly find myself feeling bad for House.

I don't even remember Wilson dying. I just remember that it wasn't as fun anymore since the trio dynamic between House, Cuddy, and Wilson had been split up. I do need to go on another binge though as it has been quite a few years, and all these 10 minute clips on youtube makes me want to. I always found Foreman to be insufferably pompous so him replacing Cuddy wasn't the most appealing thing for me.

Not sure how that would work, Chase is too straight laced to be a compelling lead character, plus there is the whole 9 year gap between the spin off & the original show
Chase was a largely boring character, would turn the show into a greys anatomy affair which would just be damning to its legacy.
@@Stuart267 Yeah Chase didn't do much in the final season but play houses games. For the stories finale that was grooming Chase to take House's place, they didn't do the best job pushing his limits.

I think Omar Epps is massively underrated in general. The way he delivers the line 'The patient is two lungs in a box' is a masterclass. That one lines expresses so much, Foreman knows he's got the ace and he's enjoying playing it.

I found it interesting that his takeaway from the painting was how the colors made him feel. I think the shapes with hints of yellow give the painting a more troubled vibe than "calming and nurturing". Idk, it just added more detail to his character to show how he thought of the painting at first glance.

It sucks that at the end of the series House basically lost everything. His job, Cuddy, and its implied Wilson died from cancer. Hated seeing him miserable like that.
He had to fake his death to avoid going back to prison.
Makes you wonder what he did after Wilson supposedly died. I hope he didn't, well you know, off himself.

If he left his money to Wilson when he “died” then Wilson could use their combined money to get house out of the country and set up after he died, so money wise he’d probably be fine, the issue would be what house would do, he could probably get set up as a doctor in a country with no extradition laws.

why does people want "House MD" back? It's impossible considering if House reveals himself to be alive, he'd be sent to jail and probably have a harsher, worser sentence or whatever.

Unless they pulled another Deus Ex Machina like this where sometime after Wilson's passing a crisis happens and the courts agree to drop the charges for everything and Foreman offers him his job back if he assists.
I would like it to be that he got caught trying to save someones life ona train after being home(house)less and sent to serve ten years but is pulled out of prison to save the mayor's life as they can't figure out what they have and that's how he gets his job back on a temporary parole of two years and if he falls back into old habits he gets locked up again, with new doctors and old ones including Wilson who we find out lived somehow and is quite bitter about it as others who had what he had had died

When House was still airing my Dad and I both liked it, and I started watching the latest season before he did. When I mentioned this he asked jokingly "So what's going on now, is House in prison?" and I was like "Yep."

@@jeepgirl3734 Due to driving his car into Cuddy's house, crashing through it, destroying a lot of it.
He pleaded guilty and was his own defense. That was the Season 7 finale and Season 8 starts with him in prison.
@@MegaSpideyman That was because Lisa Edelstein (reason unknown to me) refused to return in season 8, not even a guest role. I'm guessing she got greedy.
@@paulmichaelfreedman8334 not really, they did that of leaving house relationship and the crashing car because lisa didn't arrange a deal with the producers, due to the more time her caracter appears she wanted more money but producers said no and she left

@Noel Oommen nope. it was cuddy and foreman. actor who played wilson didnt get a paycut. also read that her paycut was steeper than the rest.

Whenever I watch this episode, I remember this quote, " when small men begin to cast long shadows, it is time for Sun to set"..
This was near the end of the series, but really this scene was where House really jumped the shark for me. Some of the medicine on the show was outrageous and also the way he treated patients, but still, the show was great. But the idea of Foreman becoming dean of medicine at a major US hospital is just not believable. He wasn't even a department head. There would be probably 30 department heads who would be WAY above him, and 100's of Deans of Medicine from smaller hospitals.
Maybe recommendation from cuddy? Idk

What I really like about dr. House is the music that they used in these pictures and obviously it looks the best kind of music that went along with the picture quality making is that 100% doctor house is a fictional character but still 100% fiction can be real

@@nobytes2 I've seen the episodes on DVD and he took over from Lisa Cuddy at the beginning of series 8(the final series) while House was in prison for crashing his car into Cuddy's home. (It was either House's car or Wilson's)

Honestly I feel like Omar Epps character in House md is so Vital there are others I could deal with Not seeing again and wouldn't be as bothered but Foreman and House have such a interesting Relationship.
They are friends no matter how much they would deny it in future seasons. Foreman even said "I like you" to him in an earlier season & they have saved one another's life once or twice throughout the shows run
Seeing House in jail made me very uncomfortable even though he did that to Cuddy’s Household...I didn’t like seeing him in there and glad Foreman did him a solid getting him out.

because people "actors/writers/producer etc" are human and naturally run out of ideas which was already happening in the last few seasons, so they did the thing unlike many shows nowadays that drag a singular plot forever like for example the walking dead and game of thrones

A prisoner who’s also a doctor in the worst prison and helps other doctors with other prisoners, also he’s fully guilty of the crime wasn’t framed and can hold his own in a fight.

Does anyone else not like what they did with Forman’s character? Just me? They kinda make him come off as a manipulative jerk a lot of the time. Same as House only not open about it...
I felt that for most of the season, but his last few episodes were certainly redeeming of himself. I like that House left his I.D. for Foreman to know that he was alive and no one else. Shows that House actually respected him a lot more than he let on.
"Ends up an organ donor" is a pretty cold way of putting it...
They are rebooting so many series nowadays. you would think this might be one of those that deserve another year. I know it's complicated with copyright and legal stuff.
But I really hope it becomes common place. Instead of forcing a writer to churn out 10 years, one after another with no break... maybe series can just take a decade off, and then return for a season or 2, and take another break, return again and so on.
Who knows, maybe in the last 6 years David Shore has made a list of a few things he still would like House to say. And maybe Laurie & co are game as well. Maybe even Lisa would like to rejoin the project. 13. Taub, Chase, Park, Addams, Foreman, Allison, But maybe even Wilson/Amber/Kutner as recurring ghosts. Maybe he needs a little more rest. Who knows. However what I do know, if this series were to be rebooted.... I WOULD SOOOOOOOOOOO WATCH THAT.

No one can be hugh but there are plenty of great actors that can play a snarky, witty, sarcastic house.
It still doesnt really make sense to me, outside a narrative one, that Foreman became DoM, a subordinate of a head of a somewhat minor department. If anything Wilson, head of Oncology, would be a better fit, probably better a narrative choice too since he would have to struggle and change his relationship around House.
This is the only time House has his top 2 buttons done up while in prison.
