I’ve been doing this job for 20 years and I’ve really enjoyed it. Our country has so many things to see and this job is one way to see it and make a ok living. 99% of the people you meet are great people that enjoy doing their jobs. There’s nothing more enjoyable than having a crew that knows what they’re doing. I ran a 4200 mile trip with a driver that was just wonderful, I had the permits at least a day before we entered each state we had the permits figured out great communication it was just great.

Moving my first oversized load as a broker that will require pilot cars.
1.) Which pilot company do you all recommend?
2.) Is there a pilot company that cover a large part of US?
3.) Who usually pays for the survey up front?
4.) Any other insight is appreciated.

You only need it to drive in 14 states

So a class c drivers license is telling a class a driver how to drive?? You would think with common sense a pilot driver needs a class a license to pilot a oversized load, where the common sense 😮
