Great game, but as a Lions fan it's an incredible game and showed me a lot. The Bills played a damn near perfect game and won by 6 with all the injuries and the Lions offense didn't start out well
Our ENTIRE original 1st and 2nd string defensive line is out. We acquired Smith as a new 1st string to replace Hutchinson. Our entire Linebacking staff save one are 3rd stringers or former practice squad personnel. So to sum it up one 1st string defensive lineman 3 of four of our 1st string DB and one 1st string linebacker are really what is left of what was one of the leagues best defenses. You can replace bodies but you cannot replace talent with the trade deadline gone.
Funny that Allen had 1/3 of Buffalo’s Rush yards, and Goff had 1/3 of Lion’s Rush yards. The 200 to 50 difference seemed to matter, while JA with 28 yards average per completion might have overshadowed Goff’s 13. Mighty white of the Ref’s giving a true home field advantage too. It kept it more interesting.
It wasn't "A" stop. The Bills, even with their depleted secondary, stopped Goff and the #1 offense Rams on 4 of their first 7 possessions. Punt x3 and a fumble. There was also a missed FG, so the Rams only scored twice in their first 7 possessions. The reason for the Rams high scoring game is because the Bills were up by 3 scores late in the 3rd and lost some backups, so now 3rd string backups to the backups were playing in the secondary and linebackers, so the Bills played a soft prevent defense, which allowed Goff to tally up the yards and points, while stopping them from getting enough points to win.
I don't blame campbell. In that game they had a 0% rate of stopping the bills literally not figuratively, add an onside kick is at least 7% probability.
Yes, the bills best defensive player Milano was playing crippled then went out, their entire secondary was injured, hence the pass fest, so both defenses were crippled, bottom line is this was a QB duel between Allen and Goff and Allen won. Both teams had some good play by their RBs, mostly in the passing game. It was a great game though, wouldn't mind seeing a rematch...

Can we stop saying going for it on 4th and 2 is "aggressive" when it is the safest thing you can do regardless of field position?. You increase your chances to win by doing this. This makes it the "safe" and "conservative" decision. Punting is the "risky" play since it reduces your chances.
I already know the sports media talk is gonna hound Campbell for the on side kick early into the 4th, but what was he supposed to do is my feelings on it. Give the ball back to Josh Allen to probably march it down and score again? Buring clock time while doing it? Defense wasn't coming up with the stops, and they were likely going to have to attempt it later in the game anyways so why not just go for it now when the other team isn't quite ready.
Bills left points on the board - got down to the 2 and didn’t have Allen punch it in, they miss a FG. Then the chest pass TD comes back for holding and they settle for a FG. If those 2 plays happen the Bills score 60 and Allen gets 3 running and 3 passing TDs in back to back games
The lion D is legit made up of mostly guys off the street. I’m devastated by all of these injuries. They were the best team in the league and luck just terrible luck strikes
I disagree that the numbers alone should be how decisions are made. Not that I live the on side w/ 12 min to go but we had just scored quickly and our D was pretty gassed. A normal onside has the ball recovered in the middle of the field not taken to the 5.

This was a very good game that the Bills were forced to keep scoring in because the Lions refused to go away. Ultimately the team that didn't lose 3 players to season ending injuries (seeminly every game since week 5) won.
This injury narrative is BS. The Bills entire secondary was injured along with backups, their best player Milano was playing crippled then got injured. Both defenses were crippled. This was a QB duel between Allen and Goff and Allen won. Both of these teams are elite and very similar but stop with the one team was more injured than the other, plus the lions were playing at home. The Bills won because they were better last night. Hopefully there will be a rematch.
@kennyjames4679 15 players on IR and multiple starters ruled out with season ending injuries and then 3 more in this game is a "BS narrative" to you. Dude your team won. Take the W. I'm just saying that injuries clearly played a part because basically every team in the league is healthier than the Lions right now.
Oh stop it, Buffalo dominated the Lions from the start. They never once tied or held the lead. They were controlling the game by 2-3 scores nearly all game. Lions scored a garbage time TD in prevent defense. The Bills are the best team in the AFC
This is just not true. If the Bills "dominated" Allen wouldn't have had to keep coming out to score in the 4th quarter. This game was very competitive all things considered.
I'm honestly just tired of hearing how great and ballsy Dan Campbell is because he takes huge and unnecessary risks. Glad it finally backfired when he had to face a good team. That onside kick with 12 minutes left was monumentally stupid. Even if you don't think your defense can stop Allen, onside kicks have a success rate of like 2% with the current rules. You have way better odds getting a pick or forcing a fumble on defense. Even just kicking a long pooch kick to force a return attempt would have given them a chance to force a fumble without giving them such good field position. Just such a dumb call with that much time left.
Lamar is MV3. 4th best passer rating in history AND best td-int for QB over 30 td EVER. It IS over, Lamar has LOCKED IT UP and THROWN AWAY THE KEY. He beat Allen 35-10, mind you, and is carrying a 32nd pass-D and 32nd secondary. Allen is 2-3 against winning record teams. Lamar is 5-3. You guys are CRAZY WORK. Lamar is a historic season, Allen is a great season but not the same level.
Don't forget the two MVPs Lamar did win were due to narrative and being the starting QB on either the best or one of the best teams in the league. Those two factors matter more than who had the best statistical season. And even then, the Bills have the Patriots twice and the Jets at home to end the season so Allen may end up with better stats at the end anyway.
Or y'all can realize not everyone out there pays attention to other teams. Why bother getting negative? It's a bad look. Let them be gleefully ignorant, what's it to you anyways lol
To be fair to the 2 defenses, this was a game with the top 2 scoring teams in the league. I think the Bills have had 11 30 pt games.
What a dumb take to be complaining about plays not looking pretty
Oh stop it, Buffalo dominated the Lions from the start. They never once tied or held the lead. They were controlling the game by 2-3 scores nearly all game. Lions scored a garbage time TD in prevent defense. The Bills are the best team in the AFC
This is just not true.
If the Bills "dominated" Allen wouldn't have had to keep coming out to score in the 4th quarter.
This game was very competitive all things considered.
That's just not true.
Why cant they beat the Chiefs in playoffs like ever then? 🤔
The Ravens are not in 1st or 2nd place though so.... Not this year
Don't forget the two MVPs Lamar did win were due to narrative and being the starting QB on either the best or one of the best teams in the league. Those two factors matter more than who had the best statistical season. And even then, the Bills have the Patriots twice and the Jets at home to end the season so Allen may end up with better stats at the end anyway.
Everyone is whining about injuries. Every single team has injuries. Look at the Chiefs…
but the Lion's injuries mean more cause they cheer for them, no one else's matter.
Or y'all can realize not everyone out there pays attention to other teams. Why bother getting negative? It's a bad look. Let them be gleefully ignorant, what's it to you anyways lol
Neither team is going anywhere with that defense. Looked like a practice scrimmage out there.
2 of the best offenses in the league?
The Bills d looked pretty good against the Chiefs.
To be fair to the 2 defenses, this was a game with the top 2 scoring teams in the league. I think the Bills have had 11 30 pt games. Allen and the Bills offense has pummeled lots of healthy defenses too, and so has Goff and the Lions. I think both defenses are hurting but they are not as bad as they looked in this game.
So bills lose to rams and don’t drop but we lose to them and drop?
