It’s hard to force medication compliance without forced institutionalization and hospitalization. I’m a proponent for slightly loosening the 5150 criteria. This woman could be walking down the street screaming at everything and nothing. She could be unable to care for herself and she would not be hospitalized and definitely not for long enough to help her get well enough to think clearly. The help is there but how can we expect someone so unwell to recognize that they need help?

the culture that is foolish enough to reach for meds in the first place is the problem. The fall of the corrupt US empire and the intentional destruction of western civilization will not be without a lot of misery. People can take drugs, whether legal or illegal, and wash their minds away. I'm not gonna blame them if they aren't hurting others. But drugs will never fix what caused them to be unhappy in the first place...they'll only mask the issues or allow them a peaceful passing.

And also understand that the officers who break the law and bring a bad name to the Dept as a whole are very unusual and rare occurrences. Most of the officers who join the force are living their life long passion and really want to be there to help our citizens. I also want to say in closing, that I’m very sorry on both ends when police officers become victims and when citizens also become victims.

The rubber bullets being shot through her window could have sent her into an even worse episode.
