Hey Gerald, great channel! Watching from Aynor South Carolina, a little bit away from the coast of Myrtle Beach, about 30 minutes. Thanks for the hard work.☺️ praying for a good snow event.
@@poss4757 Im with you!! I heard if you flush ice cubes down the toilet it increases the snow chances also dont forget to do the snow dance and that will help us here in NC get snow!!
Hi Gerald. Watching from Southern MA and really love your weather broadcasts. You're my favorite youtube weather man. I love the details and the maps you show. Keep up the great work.
Hi Gerald! Lately, it seems like everyone and their granny has a weather channel on RUclips; and I have gone through many of them over the past several weeks. In doing so, I have to say that you have the best channel (and best delivery of the information) than any of the others I've seen. So, I just want to thank you for a great informative weather channel; and it is my opinion that you will go far in the field of meteorology! You are now my 'go-to guy' on RUclips for weather info! Thanks again Gerald and fair skies! 😁
I'm in southwest Mississippi and the winter storm watches were already out this morning. We rarely have any winter at all here, let alone snow. Every few years we might get a few pellets of sleet. If this thing pans out for us with 4-8 inches of snow, these small towns will be shut completely down.
Hi Gerald, central Mass here… You’re doing such an awesome job! Keep up the good work…. I’m looking forward to seeing how far you go in the meteorology world 😊
I'm glad our ice and snow is gone here in the mid Mississippi Valley. I'm even more happy about the fact that we are not getting anything from these storms. Yeah it might cool for the first day or two but after that, no thanks lol. Y"all have fun! stay safe!
Great updates, and very informative. Reporting from Jacksonville, NC (SE NC). Most forecasts are following the GFS model today, which is interesting because for the last several days, it looked like they were calling for something more in line with the European or Canadian models. Locally, they were saying 5-8 inches with another inch or so (mixed with ice) the following evening. Today that total has dropped nearly in half to 3.6 inches. Either way, a dangerous situation and one the requires the same type of preparation, but it really is going to come down to the storms forward speed and whether it jogs a bit North or South. I'd love to see it slow down a bit, but I know that's not going to happen. Hopefully we just get snow and less ice, but I have a feeling that we'll see sleet late Thursday into Friday as temperatures remain in the upper 20's to near 30. I'd prefer to see some additional accumulation of snow (even just an inch). Fingers crossed. Stay safe everyone.
Philly metro, NWS is calling for 2"-4". Snow is suppose to start around noon tomorrow so we should see frozen pricip hitting the ground around 12:30pm or 1pm when it's the temps are 35F - 33F and end around 11pm when it's 27F. Basicaly we could get anything in any amount (could get nothing, could get a foot) but I expect a sidewalk, apron and up the driveway covered with chunks of ice from the township (unless I block the driveway with my truck which I've been known to do).
What indicators will we see if the event you talked about at 12:10 is going to occur? Or what would indicators would tell us it isn't happening? How early would we know?
Hello from SE Pennsylvania (PA Dutch Country)! I have to make local adjustments to the general forecast. I live in a small "bowl". We're in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, so we've got that backed by the Appalachian Mountains. Then there's Neversink Mountain and the smaller Mt. Penn. We wait to see what makes it over the mountains. There could be snow piling up in regions like the Poconos, Philly, the Jersey shore, Maryland, etc, but sometimes it doesn't quite make it over the mountains and we don't get much. On the other hand, when a low pressure system gets "stuck" here, it really dumps on us. This is the Crossroads of Weather. We get whatever comes from the West. We get Arctic air pushing down from the North. We get wet systems from the South. And from the East, we get whatever blows in from the Atlantic. But the food is great! The Amish make buttered noodles and pot roast and Shoo Fly Pie. Makes it all worth it! 😄 Stay warm and snuggly, everyone! 😊
