This review is simply awesome. really. Your words are more precise than the ones I used to describe the fragrance. Thanks so much, I am moved.

Awesome review. You were spot on describing it as cold. I once simply described The Black Knight as a dark, smoky leathery fragrance but there's much more to it and I feel you hit every aspect of it perfectly. To me, it's a type of scent unlike any in her collection. I personally love this fragrance.

This smells like one of those medieval living museums, lots of stone, leather and something burning - amazing

Pep, you're a life saver. I've discovered that slightly austere, atmospheric, and dark is my jam. Was worried that bianchi would a little too decadent for me, but this seems like the ultimate compromise. Waiting on this and 'the dark side', but willing to be pleasantly surprised by everything. Cheers!

What a great review for an amazing fragrance. This is indeed quite dark and leathery, almost earthy. This changes quite a bit through seasons, in winter it is quite delicious with an almost boozy-chocolate vibe in the opening, with a delicious waxy-leathery aspect in the drydown.
In a warmer climate this smells more rooty, almost somewhere between Kouros and Encre Noire.

Just blind bought this one today, seen these posted in groups and decided to go with this one with minimal research. Looks like with amazing review that this one should be a winner for me and might be a start of a new brand for me.

Very helpful review. Agree with the description about this being a solitude scent, specially for long meditative nights where like a soldier one has to recover from battle for the next one.

Nicely reviewed Pep. You know what they say. Once you go knight...you're never quite right. 😕 Or was it black? I can't remember. Anyway, I'm with you on that artemisa smell. And no need to apologize for creating a new vocabulary! Websters will eventually take us fragheads more seriously, I assure you. But for one of the weirdest yet most satisfying vetivers I've smelled recently, check out Vetu de Vert from Motif Olfactif. Very much a damp, soily and sweet licorice-vetiver with some floral facets from the ylang-ylang. A stark contrast to the smoky and rooty grass I'm used to, but I suppose that's what you get with the natural stuff!

BK is my fav from FB. It was my first scent from her. To me it smells like worn leather boots..i know that this might sound sick, but I imagine that this perfume smells like the boot from the amputated leg of that famous mercenary...

The outlier to the Bianchi DNA is Lost in Heaven. I must admit that it is my least favourite. I like it more than Salome, but it isn't one I am too keen to buy another bottle of. I must get a tester of this one.

I get Bianchi DNA in Lost In Heaven. I almost past it up, then revisited my sample. I fell hard for it, hardly worn anything else since then. It’s gorgeous. I think it’s my favorite of hers.

I like the opening, love the mid, but not fond of the dry down when the vetiver really comes out. I struggle with vetiver when it’s prominent and to me the vetiver takes over in the dry down.

Fair enough, have to enjoy all phases. The beauty of individual noses.

The Scentinel this has completely changed for me. Now the opening is a bit of a struggle...up close anyway (wafting in the air, I love it from start to finish). It is definitely the vetiver that is the cause of the “struggle” that I have up close with it. The dry down is amazing. I crave this one now and wear it several times a week atm. A male coworker of mine immediately got the metallic bit too...I didn’t until he said it WHILE I was wearing it, but yeah, it’s definitely there. Do you get any resemblance to Fahrenheit? To me they have similarities, but I’ve never worn Fahrenheit, only smelled it in shops.

@@mrspress8057 i definitely get why there could be comparisons with Fahrenheit, but i definitely get more floral freshness from the Dior

Any Chinese or Asian person who love the smell of traditional stomach medicine in shape of brownie balls would love this one, for the wax, honey and patchouli in the first few hours.
