Yea that's from navy seal training.
Working with my pittie girl, she used to pull like crazy. I use all these tips and they work guys, I tend to be impatient but with these things you really got to be patient. I just want to give my girl her best life, she needs to know she doesn’t have to be so anxious about going outside. She’s getting better day by day!
Dog just changed skin lol
New DLC just drop.
I can verify these tips WORK. Our large Anatolian Shepherd had a few bad habits and these cured them! It's a real joy to walk with him. Now I need to repeat the success with our Westie. Pray for me.

This guys ecollar course is insane. For 700 I got this and the puppy course and I’ll never need to hire a dog trainer for dogs I own for the rest of my life. In fact, It equipts you to probably be better than 90% of dog trainers out there. if your on the fence about his courses, do it. Thanks Garett 🎉
That's very nice of you to say. Thank you for that. 🙏 Please email us at cs@diyk9.com we would like to send you a personal thank you. Tell them I sent you.

I need to see that course! Sounds very interesting. I have a small dog, does the training work the same for a mini Aussie? Lol
I don’t even have a dog right now and I want to buy the courses. 700 bucks for 2? I’ll swing by the site.

Following your training tips after about 2 weeks I have my 2yr old 110lb Razors Edge Loki off leash. We are now having so much fun together playing fetch with his ball. The e collar was the difference. Thanks
You’re probably in the country or on a farm…..there are leash laws most everywhere.
Absolute beautiful red nose pit!

Awww I like how Thanos paws turn inwards when he walks 😂😂❤
Thanks ! & your bully is beautiful!
My dog does not walk by my side or behind me, he usually is infront of my yet I make sure he does not pull me at all, he used to but now he dosent, the purpose of my walks is, the dog is inside all day so this is his walk and time to explore so I let him go in the directions he wants and do what he wants except pull me. Sometimes I’ll let his leash go, he dosent run but stays by me sometimes about 10 feet away, he always looks back for me and sometimes if I hide he will just look around then start jogging back in the direction I was at
My Border Collie is always in front of me, but I just need to whisper his name and he stops in his tracks to come back to me. He can also just stop and wait with one command and he doesn't run.
Your dog should never be in front of you. That's him walking you.
It's amazing how people think a dog should be allowed to do what he wants to do.
@@hammertyme8392 you're 100% wrong. Off leash work is all about keeping control of your dog no matter where he is. It allows the dog to go at its own pace while releasing you of the chore of holding a leash. When you train your dog properly, it can explore the world on its terms and still follow every command/ignore distractions.
@@hammertyme8392 herding dogs will do that. My dog is a GSD and i do all this man says for training. But he still wants to walk a few cm Infront.
When I'm with my family, the one who has him on the leash NEEDS to walk Infront of everyone or he starts screaming histerically.
I researched this and it has to do with herdinr instinct, he's not doing so out of disrespect, he doesn't pull. He does this because he has to make sure everyone is safe, if he feels like someone is leaving the "herd" outside, he gets upset
@@isakaldazwulfazizsunus7564 it's a herding dog thing. My GSD does the same. He doesn't run.
Except when he sees another dog but we are working on that, he's way to curious
These tips are really helpful for me and my Belgian Malanois. He’s getting better by the day
Great tips
Follow this man , he is Absolutely right , Phenomenal Trainer , agree with everything he says
It's so wonderful to see well-trained dogs. So many are not.
I did all these tips and IT REALLY DID WORKED!
My 130 lb. Amstaff pulls and is not disciplined off the leash. I can't trust him until he is trained in recall. It's tough raising these precious babies but I love their energy.
What tools are you using to help your dog? How old is the dog? When did you start working to increas his/her ability to walk on the lead correctly?
girl never let an amstaff off leash 💀
Start in small areas where they can't escape. Bring treats. When the dog is distracted, call it and give it a treat. Make sure the test is high value. They they'll come to you fast for more of that good stuff.
The best dog I ever had to walk on a leash was a dog that had never walked on one before.
She arrived at my home in the boot (trunk) of her owners car. Awesome start. Not.
I had arranged with them to ignore the dog at hand over and thankfully they did. When she tried to leave the boot I let her know that wasn't what I wanted. Once she calmed down I attached the leash. This interaction again amped her and again I let her know to just chill. Once she was calm I invited her out. She was all over the place but after some checking she realised that being beside me was where she needed to be if she didn't want to be constantly checked or physically manipulated.
I told the owners I was going to go out the driveway and go left and for them to leave and go right but to give us a 10 minute headstart.
I didn't think there was much of a bond between these people and the dog (she belonged to their daughter who was overseas and the dog had been kenneled since) but I didn't want her to hear or see them leave.
It must have taken us a good 30mins to go the first 50m. Her constantly all over the place and me constantly stopping, checking and getting her back into a heel position and calm before we moved again.
After that we were gucci. We walked around the block, about 3ks all up, and by the end I could place the lead across her shoulders and she stayed at heel, stopped when I did and walked at whatever speed I did.
Not once did I verbalise anything to her. Verbal communication is needed for everyday life with your dog and good for paying but during those first hours with me I wanted her to just be with me, just me. My energy, my presence.
Because we got off to such a good start her training after that was really smooth. Helped she was a lovely dog, Vizsla x Lab, who clearly had no issues or bad habits besides a fear of fireworks we worked though, and a fascination and love of cats I encouraged.
Good girl!
Once fully trained and healthy I found her a forever home with a wealthy couple who had a place in the country and had 7 cats and yes, she found two feline best friends out of pack.
I started reading this, but my God. Lol ..Bless your heart 😊

@pmabhande And yet you also went out of your way to say something for no ones benefit but your own. That just tells me you're a waste of time.
Difference between you and me: I had something to say. I added to the conversation and knowledge base. You're a small dog yapping: just talking for the sake of it, bringing and doing absolutely nothing useful.
👍 thanks makes sense
My dogs have this down indiviudally. I’m working to get them as well when I walk them on double lead. They aren’t “bad”, just not as on point solo.
Give us the example on how to achieve this! Please? I really want my German shepperd going in on 4 Months on age to show this exact behaviour… From Amsterdam and origin Morocco 🇲🇦
first-i like being called a hokey-pokey. very cute.
second-i also enjoyed him pulling out the treats that weren't there ;p
That dog is gorgeous 😍😍🙏🏽😍
i never had to train my pup she walked next to me from the start thats just cuz i treat her amazing
Your classes are great! I have incredible results with my dog. Do you offer parenting classes by chance? 😉

My Yorky is hell on wheels when we walk, he try to go to every tree every pole every wall every step to pee. He don’t have that much piano. Thank you for your advice. I’m definitely going to try.

Thanks! He ist verry nervos at the doorway. Love from germany!
My dog walks in front, like half off her body ahead. She does not pull. How do I train her to do what you just showed? That’s impressive. My dog is a Border Collie.
Thank you sir! Very informative.
I used to train my pinchers on my bicycle and they’d get about one hour per day each every day!! They were never on a leach unless I’d really wanted them to tow me away which they also did very often too!!! :-)
Thanks!
Currently working on this with a 5 month old puppy, it is hard work!
Hard work but worth it.
There's a dog I know that needs training like that, I'll try this.
I really like your practices of Mrs. appreciate all your information
i can’t for the life of me figure this out with one of my three dogs. its like its his job to pull wherever he wants while the other two dogs walk just fine. 😢
My dog is not motivated by anything but squirrels and birds when we're outside
My dogs are allowed the length of the leash so they have some freedom to sniff. They know to sit (the say please position) to show me they want to stop. I nearly always allow it as the reward for sitting.
Any tips for border collies? My 8 month boy has to lead, he gets really anxious/upset if i try to have him walk next to me. He always has to be infront of me
My dog doesn’t take treats on walks but i make sure to pet him up so he knows he does a good job
Word ! Love your videos Bro, you tell it how it is 😎🎉
I'm gonna have to get a dog now
Yay, my service dog can also do an automatic sit when I stop walking!
This is what needs to be done. Now de 'eed to know how. Thé exact mouvement s
I’m gonna try this tip to 😊
Love tip #3
At what point do you stop treating the dog? I would rather my dog obey me,for me instead of treats.
Begins At the door 😮
That part, 🔥100% 🍷😎👍
What is your opinion on spay/neuter dogs? How does that affect training?
I really would like to know specifics for training, like how much treats I can give to not overfeed/make them ill, how long training should be so dog doesn't get unfocused due to tiering, things like that.
Very good 👍
My dog only heals perfectly after he releases all his energy..I can’t handle a heal before that :( he is less than 2 years old- a wild boxer
I started doing this, and then, every time I give him a treat or say good boy, he gets excited, and then starts to hustle again. It’s like I’m disrupting his flow.
On the first tip I was oh, that’s why! 😂 Im still working on it with my German Shepherd!
Garrett, would you be able to give your insights on a Shar-Pei? I have a Shar-Pei/ Shepherd mix. I have NEVER been able to earn her loyalty or obedience either on or off leash. She just runs. Her outdoor experience now is in a fenced yard. Walks are off the table, but she still begs me to take her out on the leash.
Tip no 4. Just let them enjoy
As soon as I let my dog know he’s a good boy for anything on a walk he goes to a ten with excitement and then I have to correct him again so I feel like I’m constantly sending mixed messages. I’m like “good boy…NO!” 🤦🏼♂️
Great idol
It’s funny, I don’t even own a dog but I had in the past, but these videos just interest me. Definitely thinking about getting another dog one day.
My dog is excited to go out and doin a lil bounce , but she is calm on the walk
I do this with one caveat. I slow down when dog slows and speed up when she speeds up
None of that shit works on my malinois. She'll do the sit, stay at the door. But once we get to walking, she pulls to the point where i gotta shorten the leash and she almost hangs herself. Crazy girl.
One problem I have is sometimes when I try to give a treat to mark a good job he doesn't want it. Is giving him the treat enough even if he just spots it out?
My dogs the same. He is very very finicky about treats and food in general and treats and food bore him after a few days, so I am constantly having to try new things 🤦🏾♂️ Mind blowing that a dog would turn down hamburger meat, steak and fresh fish
Hey dude, thanks to u, i got my dog was better on leash through couple of your Tips
But sometimes when hes walking perfectly and i reward him thats exactly when he goes off, u know what this behavior is?
whenever I reward my dog or pet him while he is on the leash even if I just slightly touch him he gets excited and starts jumping and trying to run around
What can you do with a husky? He bred to pull? Does this work with a husky?
Can you exercise with your dog off leash? In other words could you go for a jog and have them stay right by your side???
I would assume if you teach good off leash obedience and have a e collar for breaks then you should be fine he has a couple of videos for off leash heeling
His corso stayed outside the door of a store while he shopped and when he was finished his dog was exactly in the same spot where he told him to stay. There were people outside commenting and around his dog and he stayed put. So jogging with his dog being on leash is a no brainer
Off leash jogging I meant.
Hello, I sent you a DM on IG. My dog is so hyper active with treats. If he is hardly responsive due to the knowledge that tests are ahead how do I handle that,?
He doesn't just want to obey, he does every trick in the book for them
What about the smelling every where
Kicking up grass?
My 12 week old American bully is beyond hyper. It's so hard doing anything like this with him. He will sit and stay but once I try walking he pulls and pulls. An I have the correct collar and leash also. No harness either. He'll pull so much even when I stop and make him sit and try again He'll choke himself out. I never had issues with dogs in my past but tbis one is a shit
We go outside and my pitbull loves to walk. My cane corso just sits down and gets stubborn and won't move.
Geez, that is an expensive course my brother. Obviously it's incredible to see what you can get out of it, but still... For an online course 150usd is a massive investment. Specially when you're not from the uS, and your income is on a currency that's 1/5 USD 😭😭😭
Hi i’m starting a dog walking business for around my small neighborhood. I’m a 12 year old and i’m kind of nervous on how to deal with more active bigger dogs do you have any tips on how i can maintain them better?
Start with small dogs at your age, it's scary just thinking about a young person trying to handle numerous large dogs at one time. My 1 year old 160lbs powerhouse, just him would be too much for many adults. I'm the only one that walks him. I know him well since he was 7 weeks old. Don't give up on your dreams, you'll get there.
My pup still learning to walk next to me. When he does a good job I go to give him a treat. The only problem he doesn't stay next to me he goes in front of me off to the side and starts walking sideways to get the treat... 😅
Can you do / link a video of how to keep your dog by your side when he sees someone new. My dog loves people but he stops listening and just pulls me to the sun when he sees a new person
Cool
#2 not clear enough… how to make it follow the leader?
My dog wont stop jumping at the door, ive tried just not going anywhere until he sits but as soon as i move he goes right back to jumping help
What do I do when my dog won't take high value treats on walks and is fixated on other dogs and licking urine? He comes across as aggressive when other dogs are around he slinks down low but once they're close he just wants to play. I try and get him to introduce himself sometimes it's good let's them sniff him but most the time he wants to pose and then go straight into the frenchie bounce or if they're not interested he just watches them walk off and then will carry on. It's really making me sad before he hit puberty he walked perfectly. At home his perfectly behaved just walking is so draining mentally.
My question is when do you allow your dog to sniff. My dog is always trying to sniff, I stop to allow him but at times it gets to be a near entire block of sniffing. When should I stop the sniffing and keep him obeying at the same time?
Not sure if anyone ever responded but you decide the timing. If it's a 30 minute walk i would have 25 minutes of a structured walk and then give a "free dog" command letting the dog know that s(he) can sniff about.
Also work with mother nature - play 'find it' games - 3 cups with a treat under one cup - don't let them see you set up the cups. Wave the treat scent in front of the nose then say nose over and over if they knock over the correct cup they get all the treats under the cup.
Play this same game with a sock indoors - you have now given your dog a job - find it...
Just a few thoughts
He addressed the sniffing in another video.
