I went super hard on this video. Shot and edited it over 2 days. Do you like the experimentation with color in this video. Also what do you think about the R9S? Please let me know your thoughts. Remain awesome you beautiful person, after editing for about 8 ish hours I'm hitting the bed.
I'm curious, are the phones you review you buy yourself or are they loaner review units? You seem to keep the review devices for quite a while haha. Good video as always man. I was a fan of Oppo, shame they're almost an Apple copycat now as they used to make unique phones.
Hi Ezra, I usually return most of the devices. The only reason this review is out is because OPPO has not yet asked for it back. I loved the past Color OS as well, have to choice but to use the new one hehe.
Hye.. i was thinking about buying this phone.. i am the one who love good camera.. not really a gamers.. so my concern just for the good camera.. so are these phone worth to purchase?
I bought this phone a few weeks ago and agree it is a bit pricey and Android 6 is out of date. The hardware is good and it is a responsive phone. What wasn't mentioned is you cannot change a lot of apps. Two cases which annoy me - because I have my preferred apps - are contacts and SMS. There is no way to edit contact except through their application and - although they give the opportunity to change the SMS program - changing the SMS app will trigger a security warning and will change it back when it is used. The power saving is quite good and I get a long time between charging but it comes at a cost. It is just about impossible to keep third party apps running in the background. I have a fitness program which is continually shut down after the screen shuts off. I've changed all the settings available - including keeping the screen on while the app is running - but the OS ignores them and shuts or suspends the application. I also have a mileage tracker for work and it has a lot of issues running on ColorOS 3.0 (using Android 6) because of the OS suspending its operation. Its Bluetooth implementation is a bit hit and miss. I have a Bluetooth setup in my car which worked fine with the earlier phone - Samsung S5 using Android 6 - but with the Oppo phone, the conversation starts well but if it is going to be a talk longer than about a minute, the conversation becomes distorted until I need to pull over and disconnect from Bluetooth to finish the conversation. I have talked with Oppo about these issues and they have made recommendations which have not always worked or only partially fix an issue. Also talked with them about updating the OS to Android 7 - as they have a new phone out now with it and an updated ColorOS (3.1) - but they have no plans to do this or make ColorOS 3.1 available to this phone. It could be a moot point as I have read early reviews of the new ColorOS and people are reporting similar issues. My summary of the phone is a good phone with good quality hardware but it is being hampered by its OS. Oppo needs to seriously look at its OS if it wants its phone to be taken seriously.

Yes very good
does oppo r9s have notification problem?
+kefasbidinear what do you mean by notification problem?
like a pending notification, the notif only show when u just open the apps, because I read a lot of r9s in xda...
+kefasbidinear ah yes, the battery management is sometimes aggressive but for major apps like WA/Messenger I had no problem
