      I'm not a fan of airfriers but, they cycles on/off so not continuous 1700W, that's the max.

    • @x3TripleAce3x
      @x3TripleAce3x 2 месяца назад

      @@nunya___ Breakers are there to protect, yes, but they aren't bulletproof. Running a load continuously near the max rated value can cause a fire if given enough time. Most circuit breakers that are applied in North America are 80% rated, which means that they can only be used continuously at 80% of their thermal current rating.
      Now what is the average power draw of the airfrier and how long does it continously pull 1700W, I don't know. I'm guessing it only pulls the max at the highest heat setting.

    It's made by a smartphone company and it's surprisingly not as advanced as this one but it has a long list of 100 recipes specifically formulated for this specific air fryer, with photos, exact ingredient amounts and there's even a button that cooks the ingredients for the exact amount of time and temp needed, it helps save a lot of hassle knowing that these exact instructions will make it work 100%

But if I lived in an efficiency situation without a real stove, I'd be psyched to have this option. Otherwise, it's nice to see it advertized with a recipe that's made for it and not acting like it's a deep fryer like it is usually advertized.
    Thick fries work better than the thin ones in an airfryer, totally agree on that. Last time I had airfryer fries, they were the thick ones, and for once, I've found them edible (still not a fan, but better than the other types).

    Thank you so much for this wonderful Tabletop Convection Oven ad! As a single person I live out of my Mini Slow Cooker (aka rice cooker with multiple options) and my Tabletop Convection Oven. When I need a new one, it will NOT be a smart one with an app (DUMB APPLIANCES FOREVER), but it's nice to have a cheap recipe for something this elevated in a form appropriate to a single person.

      Get an actual convection oven if you like the features. Bigger, more power efficient due to the better insulation. And it's not just another trash device taking up space in your cabinets. Table top convection ovens like this one break down far faster. They skimp on the insulation which fries the electronics. You'd be lucky to get three years out of it.

    First, Adam gets a big +1 for making it so obvious that this is an ad.
    I'm anti-"air fryer". I don't ever eat frozen foods that would benefit from "air frying".
    I also live and cook alone, and heating up my big oven always seems like a waste. [I don't have a/c, so don't use it at all in hot months.] So, when I decided to buy a small oven, I sprung for one that does both convection and "air frying". [Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, bought on a very good Black Friday sale.]
    Turns out, the "air fryer" setting is useful.
    If I use the basket, I can cook a sheet pan style dinner of a frozen salmon filet and roast vegetables in about 20 minutes from opening the freezer drawer to table. The salmon skin gets crispy and the veggies pick up a little char. This has become one of my "I'm too tired to cook" meals. I'm still experimenting, but I bet I can do similar with a chicken thigh, or a chop, or a small steak.
    Is it a *real* air fryer? I don't care. It works for my cooking needs. Would I ever buy a dedicated "air fryer"? Nope! My oven can also bake without fan, broil, dehydrate, and even make toast.
