A vet that actually numbed the poor cow! As humans we KNOW these hurt. Of all the videos I've seen with this procedure, this is the very 1st time I've seen the cow numbed! That gives high respect to this particular vet! He did a hell of a thorough job getting all the possible abscess remnants as well. I'm sure this cow had a perfect recovery time on that abscess. A++++ Vet right there!

Such a caring, thorough and comprehensive procedure to relieve that poor cow of that horrible infection! This was a treat and I hope she healed up completely once that drain was removed and the antibiotic(s) had their full capability to help. I've watched a number of videos where a vet drives up, assesses the abcess and "pow!" --cuts an inch and a half opening and stands back to watch the goo shoot out, I've never seen any of them go in with a needle and a hemostat to break up the congealed junk and compress the area to make sure the maximum amount is worked out. Then, carefully cleaning up the site and applying betadine and (I'm guessing) spraying that antibacterial spray both in and around the wound. That's one fortunate cow and a happy dairyman! Thanks for documenting this procedure all those 7 years ago.

Poor girl, must have felt the pressure off. I agree removing the abscess tissue is the way to go. speeds up process and less stress for her. But a big mess to clean up. Poor humans, but a happier cow. Well done vet and all. Its the biggest one I have seen for awhile. Farmer can't complain about that procedure. 3 big ticks👍✍

Excellent work, took great care numbing the area as not to make the cow experience the pain of removal,😊

Omg 😱 the size of that abscess!! The cow must have felt such relief after that. Good to see the animal was numbed before starting the procedure. Gloves worn. Sterile equipment etc. Never thought I’d ever see myself watching through a cow having an abscess drained on a Saturday morning but hey ho!! Now going to have a look at his other videos 😎
Just noticed that video is from 6yrs ago but is only now showing up in my recommendations huh?!?!

Poor thing it's awful 😢 I'm so glad he helped the cow 🐄 & got rid of the cyst . Gross I'm so nauseated 🤢 I hope the owners didn't end up selling the cow for meat 😬 . I guess it would be ok after it healed I just woulwanna eat it .The veterinarian is doing such a great job . He has to love his work because I bet it the pay isn't as much as the cow is worth . God bless his heart for helping the poor cow & for doing an excellent job at it too . Thank you 🙏🏼 sir !'
