Tears flowed when I watched this..I remember him playing with my band Fodens on a Saturday Afternoon in Armagh, he was 9 or 10 yrs old..Bluebells of Scotland...faultless ! 🎉❤xx
What a beautiful sound this young man makes. When I heard this played I knew it was the winning performance. I wish Peter all the best for the future. I was greatly moved by his playing and felt that the piece was a great choice.
I would wager, that if humanity manages to survive another 100 years, then in 100 years from now, Peter's performance of this work even at the age of 12 will be remembered as one , if not the most definative performances of this piece!
Dear Peter Just found your post tonight, so glad your playing has moved me Thank you for playing that song. I wish you and yours the best From Earl in Huntington Beach California USA
The way you play music isnt just about playing the right notes, it's also about captivating the audience which Peter did very well at doing. He literally spoke through his instrument which was beautiful and he completly deserved to win, great job Peter!
I AM GOING TO BE PLAYING WITH THIS YOUNG GENIUS IN A FORTNIGHT WHEN HE IS THE GUEST SOLOIST WITH THE BAND I PLAY IN AT OUR 140th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT; I CANT WAIT!!
I've been comparing this with his catagory final performance. I prefer the latter., his pervious performance. The moment I heard him played I got emotional out of the blue. It was so wonderful. But it's very nice to hear the whole piece. Wish him all the success. I love trombone.
so, something I've often wondered when it comes to talent like this...if his mom had put a trumpet in his hands, or a flute...would we get the same result? i tend to think the answer is yes...probably even if he had been given a pen to write poetry...
It's a feature proposed by some custom instrument manufacturers, a hand rest mostly used by bass trombonist who constantly have to hold the weight of their big horn on their left hand, and who have 2 of their fingers using the attachments. This sometimes becomes uncomfortable. I know René Hagmann sells a model, probably others do too.
I get that part. I've heard individual phrases by some of the greatest players that my internal sense could've been better. I think though that being aware of imperfection and actively "disliking" a performance is very different. I know it's a "right" but I wish we saved it for events that don't come off as being critical of real artists, especially young artists.
this has to be one of my favourite trombone pieces of all time. This piece has such a beautiful melodic melody with amazing chords coming from the piano accompaniment. This performance is excellent, and for me, blows you away!! Anybody know the meaning of Sang Till Lotta?
@JokinJoe I wouldn't say overrated, but in many instances it is overused. I hear so many horn players around me trying to play quarter notes with vibrato and stuff. I use it plenty, but only in correct situations or if I haven't been able to fix a note to tune properly with the piano/band.
Great player mr moore!!!!!! IM also a trombone player and Im older then you but I look up to you!!!!! Wonderful job!!!! NOt a big fan of yamaha trombones though sorry, I play a bach trombone.
OMG! What sounds and technique, too! Did you notice he adjusts the slide when going from E-flat down to A-flat? Something you only see in far advanced players! WOW!
Explaining who Lotta is, and why Jan Sandström wrote this song to her. Lotta is a young daughter of a close friend to Sandström, who started to play the Trombone. Jan Sandström promised her a piece of music, if she contued to exercise her trombone, and she did.
im going to meet next week at a private performance in australia next week there will be bout 50 of i us. wish i was as good as him at the flute as he is trombone
it is a Rath handbrace but a Yamaha trombone. ..... I think he has a Rath too. let´s hope he will be going for a Rath, and supports this great trombones. But it has to work for him ofcourse.
Please guard this kid very well....guide him to music, because if this kid continues to study trombone we are gona have a big voice and reference of trombone in the world....Peter keep up the good and the hard work.... XD
Wow! amazing tone! I cant believe how good this boy is. I am a 16 year old trombonist. I could reallyuse a tone like that. Can someone explain to me that thing on his left hand, I dont believe I have ever seen anything like that
... and I thought our 1st chair in band was a prodigy... I think this guy is better than most high level college trombonists! Us high school t-bones have nothing on him lol! I'd like to see him play jazz tho
@lordofdastrings76 vibrato is overrated. The only flaw I heard was some poor choices to breath and some notes that shouldve held longer. Other than that.... what a beautiful, colorful, rich and vibrant tone. So full of life. This almost made me cry.
Really?! Just had a brand new Bach trombone bought for me. It's a piece of shit! The new Bach's are terrible, if you can find an old one they're so much better.

This kid just won Co-Principal Trombone with the freaking London Symphony Orchestra as an 18 year old!
I know right?! I saw that today and was like...what?!
According to wikipedia, he's actually 17. Unbelievable.
Which means it's time for the rest of us to just quit. lol
Great and deep sound of this trombonist. Brilliant!
co principle trombone of the London symphony orchestra at 18! wow

It's unbelievable. What a sound.
How Great he was playing this afternoon in St Luke LSO. What beautiful voice and words that Peter's Trombone sings. very Well done!
Born for the Instrument! Beautiful Straight to the heart!
Congratulation again ! Mr. Moore.
To be that good at twelve is practically unheard of! I wish him all the best in his career.
Mr Moore is a very talented young man - may he prosper.

Fan-flingin-tastic. It's rare that you can say with certainty that someone's going to be successful, but this boy is going to be a success!!

Bravo Peter. You are an exemple for me, even I have 25.
Great performance!
Wow, I've seen child prodigies like this, usually as technical geniuses. But I've never seen a brass player so young play so expressively. Amazing
Very mature sound from a youngster. That's determination for ya.
I am sure that Peter Moore will be the next Joseph Alessi!!
Great job!!
This is a fantastic piece and I had to search around to find it, once I properly remembered to :D I LOVE this piece :')
Tem as partituras dela ? Me envia 🙏
@@vagnerbone7668 nope, but you could find it online just searching for the name no doubt.
amazing! im learning this piece now and this has given me some helpful hints

my former first chair trombone partner has a xeno. Those things sound amazing. Has a bit of a euphonium + strong brass sound to it.
Imagine when he gets older!!! 😮😮
Francisco Villalobos he is now one of the best
Well now he plays with the London Symphony Orchestra
so, something I've often wondered when it comes to talent like this...if his mom had put a trumpet in his hands, or a flute...would we get the same result? i tend to think the answer is yes...probably even if he had been given a pen to write poetry...
Yeah i agree, this sapling was planted in VERY fertile soil (parental support)
just auditioned for a place in National Youth Orchestra against that guy! OMG...hes good...

I would enjoy the comments section of youtube more if each person that left a thumbs down explained why. I don't get it. The kid was 12. Very nice..

i love when he plays and my friend plays trombone and playing exactly same as him so my friend going to a good school!
MVH glumzie
@5erdom Why does it matter how he holds it?!? I'm just in awe of how well he plays this piece! I definitely want to try it now. (The piece, that is)
this has to be one of my favourite trombone pieces of all time. This piece has such a beautiful melodic melody with amazing chords coming from the piano accompaniment. This performance is excellent, and for me, blows you away!! Anybody know the meaning of Sang Till Lotta?
It is a piece composed by a father to his daughter.

I'm 13, I'm as good as him, but I'm amazing at how much confidence and poise he has. No way I could stand on that stage.

Are you serious? His tone is amazing. This is not technical, but it's very expressive. Those high notes are beautiful!

Does anyone know where you can buy this music?
@tromboneman18 it means "lotta's song"
Please guard this kid very well....guide him to music, because if this kid continues to study trombone we are gona have a big voice and reference of trombone in the world....Peter keep up the good and the hard work.... XD
Note from the future - he still plays very well! Just received his last CD via Amazon yesterday.
Anybody knows where I can find the sheet music of this song? I think it's briliant.
Wow! amazing tone! I cant believe how good this boy is. I am a 16 year old trombonist. I could reallyuse a tone like that. Can someone explain to me that thing on his left hand, I dont believe I have ever seen anything like that

@keenboy1310 Excuse me, I'll prove it, and also, did he earn the title "best trombonist". No. So, I'll prove it. I'll play rings around him.
Is that him playing Arrows of Time in the background at the beginning?
this piece i personally think sounds much better on a tenor horn than a bass... just personal opinion though so dont drill me abusive comments :)
what a sik G
what's on his left hand?
