tbh kind of accurate because in the middle ages you see a lot of fragmentation as things like castles and feudalism was pretty much asking for disunity and medieval Europeans weren't good administrators that's why pretty much every major European nation (i.e. France or the HRE) was so heavily fragmented.
This is what happens when you put CK3 in, rather than CK2. CK2 would of been way way more interesting since everything in CK2 is far more dynamic and able to handle stuff like this. CK3 is way too rigid, and streamlined. It's designed for big empires, and such to break apart constantly due to everyone being hard locked into Gavelkind for half the game. It makes it boring. Meanwhile CK2 can have handfulls of different succession types at all stages of the game, keeping things interesting, and the AI do switch between them. This makes for very interesting situations, diversions, and erronous "Wtf" moments happen randomly.
There are a lot of channels doing Paradox timelapses, but at the risk of stating the obvious, your channel stands out because you actually put effort in with making things look nice and interesting. You've earned a loyal sub.

Nah I think Scotland is because it managed to survive from the beginning of the 2nd game alll the way to the end forming the British Empire along the way and also having colonies in the Americas and being on mainland europw
I think that Castille being Carthaginian is actually pretty fitting, considering Carthage was itself a colony of the Phoenicians, only to break free and proceed to colonize much of the western Mediterranean, even sending expeditions as far as the Ivory Coast.
8:06 Two Persias, the Persia that has a coast line broke away from Mesopotamia while the Persian Empire is still landlocked. Go home, Persia, you are drunk!

I appreciate mega campaigns. Each game has its own mechanics and I love seeing the alt history that comes from that. Gaulish Somalia? Hellenic Brittany? It gives more influence to the forgotten religions, cultures and states.
Unfortunately the AI really struggles with dealing with angry vassals, and ck3 really likes spawning multiple powerful vassal factions that all want you dead at once.
Well, we have a game that starts 2200... We'd be missing some context for the quater millenuim between HOI4 and Stellaris I guess, but it's not like we got as much context here either.

I was wondering why Europe didn't eat itself in HOI4, all the great powers just joined Austria lol Also I love that Nepal held most of the territory around Nepal but not Nepal itself
This is not a criticism of this video in particular but one thing that always disappoints me about these historical mega-campaigns is the tendency for things to revert to standard names and situations of our timeline. The example that is most glaring to me here is Louisiana, since the territory was named after a particular French king and it seems odd that it turns up in a timeline where Carthage survived into the Middle Ages and a million other things are different from our history. On the other hand, going too far in the other direction would create a result so alien and out of context it would be little different from a random map. I don't really have a good solution for this, except some vague ideas about curating every jump between games and making edits when things look too familiar, but the process would be laborious and the result would be a matter of the taste and decisions of the person making it. Which, unless an awesome new gaming computer manifests itself in my room and starts making demands, is not going to be me.
Yes, you are right but as you also said, it would be hard to implement these features, but I see a different solution. The colonies could simply not be named, and just have the name of the country's on them.
For Louisiana specifically, the "best" solution is to name it after the ruler of the first country to form a colony there. Could become Georgia, Ottia, Karlia, etc, but the linguistic rules for name to place are probably hard to program
No Yemen :( ! You were the colony of Roman and you fight and expand until the war against Al-what, in HOI4.... You deserve conquer the world, i'm sad for you
