As an Andalusian you made me proud of where I come from. I appreciate how you’ve gone beyond clichés and talked with people with genuine interest about who they are and what’s important to them. As a photographer I am inspired in the way you managed to capture all this. Congratulations!!!

I've watch 2 other videos on this project and yours is the best. The others show Andalusia and make us want to see there which is what they want. But the story behind these photos capturing the life and people make you want to observe and be captivated by the place.
You didn't just create a photo book, but captured the essence of this incredible land with masterful storytelling. It makes me feel like I should visit as well.
Well, technically, I didn't create a book, 20 images will be for a book, or at least that's what they asked. :) There might be less by the time the edit of the book happens. :)

First of all, I've added you to my subscribed channels. Your video was "suggested" in my RUclips feed because there are other photographers I follow whom were also contacted, and contracted for this tourism board project. And because of those I follow, I've come across the video summaries of several new (to me) photographers who were involved in this project--like you. And seeing these documentary perspectives from each of your experiences has been fantastic. Each photographer has a different and unique approach and area of interest...not so much different genres but different ways of seeing and showing the world as they experience it. So fascinating. Your video is exceptional! It's a documentary all unto itself. Your narration and story-telling is as fascinating and rich as the photography you featured. I was also incredibly impressed with your videography, which I assume you had a partner who accompanied you (in addition to the tourism board rep) and filmed all the pieces...they were equally amazing. Kudos--I'm impressed with the entire package!

I really enjoyed your movie. The reason why it really stands out for me is the personal touch. You put the viewer in the place of the photographer, you share what you felt there , how you felt there - so at the end it is not an impersonated tourist promo. By the way I really loved the color science of this video, I find it the best from what I've seen on your channel. I am sure it was a wonderful experience, yet I guess you must have drunk a few liters of coffee during that 5 days :) You squeezed in a lot. Congratulations altogether!

Well I thought, one more Andalucía! Wrong! You made magic! The same rain, rain, it's Winter! You are a pro! You make it happen. The portraits simply lovely. I use the Red Dot camera, but as a pro, it was always SLR, mainly Nikon-F! Seeing the full image, is only way! I subscribed. Some shot film! Film for me, not romantic. I still use it, but a way to use my old cameras. BW mostly. Really happy seeing your shoot! Bravo!

Personally, I believe you had an amazing opportunity to capture images no mater what the weather was . Stormy wet weather gives more opportunities in Photography then nice sunny days.
Stormy, but not flat grey clouds that I had most of the day. :) I still took every opportunity, but... well, also for the purpose of the film, I wanted to highlight that I aas 'battling' against the weather. :)

Can't believe you had just 5 days and accomplished all that. How did you prepare for the trip? Did you have someone giving you access locally or did you know ahead of time what you wanted to do?
There were only two true photographers in this Andalusian Squid Game, you and Nick Carver. The rest (IMO) are hipsters, pretenders and entertainers. You captured the spirit of Andalusia, a region of Spain I am very familiar with. Not sure why the organisers of this ‘game of photographers’ didn’t just choose you and Nick, as there really is no real contest, as your work proves.
@@mitchellkphotos Ok. My daughter got French in school, and loves it, she got the best grade. So now I hope both my daughters will settle in France, then I'll follow. So close to everything, and in the middle between Lisbon and Amsterdam, which we visited this summer. I'll just keep a small cabin up in the Totenåsen Hills, if I want to go back to photograph the winter from time to time.

Great still photos, though I have to say that I think the moving images of this video are generally better than the stills.
I think my friend Mathieu did a great job with the moving images! I do think some subjects were better suited for video.

I'll just keep a small cabin up in the Totenåsen Hills, if I want to go back to photograph the winter from time to time.
4 book worthy images in 5 days seems like quite the task to me, haha!
Depends on the quality of the book, no? Sometimes you get lucky enough to have a really amazing image in a year. 🙂
