Nikke is seen as an idle casual game but really it requires a lot of time investment and proper knowledge to actually play the game as intended. Most players aren't doing Solo Raids, or even Overload Simulation which are vital for game progression and to a lesser extent PvP is also necessary for skill ups. The player base is too casual to properly invest more time than our already pretty lengthy dailies (gacha game standards).
Gameplay duration-wise, Nikke does indeed require shorter time to do dailies when compared to other games. In other games, I'd probably have to dedicate 1-3 hours (minus loading time) to do dailies. Sometimes not counting daily grind too. In comparison, Nikke only needs about 30-45 minutes. If it takes longer than usual, not counting the first few days of event or new chapter update, it's often spent doing minigames or raids, which aren't always there, or side things like Hard campaign or towers. I don't even need to grind either. It's both relaxing and frustrating at the same time 😅
I keep hearing "lengthy dailies" but where are those lengthy dailies? It takes 10 minutes with pvp, 6 or 7 without it to complete everything. How short do people want their play sessions to be? I wouldn't mind extending it to at least 15 minute.

What I would love for them to do with bosses is add a change cover system where you move your squad to new cover to either dodge a huge attack or attack an exposed weakpoint on the boss. This would help make the gameplay less static while not changing the dynamic of the gameplay too much and adding more strategy for commanders to implement in boss fights.
Didn't they say something about multi squad boss fight were you switch between squads to attack different sides of the boss. Or maybe that was just someone's wish.
When I first started Nikke, I was interested in why/how Heretics came to be. Nowadays I'm slowly seeing more of them with little to no backstory on them, so I stopped caring about them as much. I had no idea they apparently intended to expand on them, but never did, lol.
Don't see many people actually wanting Champion Arena, don't know if we need another competitive mode. Would like to see a new cooperative mode or social content. Imagine a hub world like the Outpost but with actual players on sd characters.
yea I dont even like those coop raids either. I hate when they come around cause I know casuals are just gonna do the minimum. I dont get why you wouldnt want to put an effort so that you get more broken cores when points are calculated at the end but this is the same issue I had in another coop game I played where if you went further you got more points but the npc's that play these games are just so lazy and unmotivated. Rich coming from me smh. Either way when I get a good team in coop raids, at the end I end up receiving like 14k broken cores for putting an effort.

I definitely agree with the concept that ‘content is king’. I do think that ShiftUp has a habit of putting their foot in their mouth when announcing a new feature too soon only for it to be backdated multiple times. They definitely need to be more strategic about it. I know they want to get excitement up for fans about new features, but it doesn’t do any good if they are then talking about how the features are being further delayed. I really enjoyed the Cinderella mini game. I haven’t completed it because yes, it is fairly challenging but I still think it’s the challenge that makes it fun. I know that some people are upset how much time they need to spend, but the devs spent a long time making it. Sure I think that the upgrade system could be easier to do or more effective, but I just see it as part of the challenge too.
they already did, the biggest issue is still the 160 wall to which they "drip feed" address throughout the year with free 4 copies of a SSR during significant events. when it came to combat power gaps they also helped close that with accounting for overload lines as well. if you have a full team with overload lines, you would have seen 100k-200k boost to combat power
@@octapusxft core dust rates are fine, i have a surplus at this point cuz my other 2 currencies cant catch up. You need to push as far as you can in both hard and normal campaign to maximize core dust rate. then at every event just purely repeat the highest event battle that gives core dust boxes (rinse repeat when hard unlocks). if you're willing to spend gems buy all the extra event battle attempts and use them all on the same hard event battle 2-11 (2nd to last hard event battle, that give 4 boxes per clear)
they could expand nikke pvp so much. a form of arena where you earn currency to build and upgrade your own rapture that other players can fight without you online, 1v1 nikke battles with the same or different mechanics as base nikke or some other game, just so much
Wish they'd reduce the combat power some more.... it's not easy to catch up even with the mlb chars..the way its now will take very long ro catch up am at 21 rn by the time I catch up I'll already get spoiled everything one way or other 😢

The mirror minigame is by far the best game we have had. It takes you like 20 hours to actually beat the game 100%. To actually upgrade your abilities takes even longer. It had actual cutscenes and it was awesome. But i will say im a little disappointed to the ending. I thought there might've been a true ending but no. 1 and done
I can't 100% the game because some areas are too high for me to double jump to 🫤. Like, I SHOULD be able to reach it, but I can't. The devs need to patch that
I found the minigame really annoying. I'm stuck at 68% complete, and can't get past a couple of doors. There's no hints about where to go, or any kind of clue about wtf I'm supposed to do now.
I really don't care much about the Champion Arena, I'm just glad that the game is constantly moving forward with content and specially lore. Before migrating to Nikke, I played a bunch of gacha games that ended up stagnating their main story then bombarding you with side events that can't be even connected to the main story... then they decide to make another game that is "somewhat connected" to the main game's story while their original game keeps on stagnating or getting stuck in a single story arc for years far longer than Naruto's Great Ninja War Arc... well at least Naruto updates every week meanwhile these gacha games update their main story only twice a year... and these games have the balls to keep dumping new gacha characters that doesn't even have stories but just meta power creeps. I'm just glad that the content is steady flowing in Nikke... but I still want more Nikkes that needs immediate correction!! 💢💢💢
Honestly yeah. Only other gacha game I have played before was granblue fantasy, and even with that I felt it had too many collaborations with different IPs. I'm pretty glad Nikke hasn't done that many. And at least Nikke also has some kind of in-game lore for these too.
They'll probably look different by now. It's been so long, they probably lost their memories like Grave. Especially from a fall from space like that, they most likely have new bodies, too.
I have one theory that "might" be true,Siren is Indivilia,Hansel and Gretel are Liberalio,now why i say this if you compare hair color of Siren and Indivilia they are exactly same(black and kinda greenish),now Hansel and Gretel(if you look at hair of Gretel its sorta cat like especially top),i am thinking they didn't get "happier" ending like Grave and Cinderella.
Aren't they already exploring the surface? The last 4 chapters starting from Crystal Region has been about the Commander and the Counters establishing a base in the region.
Shit up recent sold the Destiny Child right to Comus2 to make a new Idle Rpg Destiny Child so i am happy to see the game back. For Nikke content in general gone be the new characters and chapters of story.
I think the reason Shift up keeps delaying champions mode is they are trying to keep the select your squad and let anyone attack you at any time format. While also trying to make it feel different from the other two pvp arena modes; a task that in my opinion is impossible. The best alternatives I can think of is a competitive Raid or Nikke auto chess.
I’m an older player and never would consider myself a “gamer”, but I am enjoying this one quite a bit. I just started playing 2 months ago. I’m big on story. They need more stories like Old Tales. Story II really goes hard and gives you some great lore for the game. I also like being able to build up characters and THAT, is a slog. I’m at the 160 wall and can see how it could take months for a ftp to break it. They really are doing the Anni up right, but why not have more bonus weekends and such to at least power up your Nikke’s to progress in the story?
Hi, new player (f2p) here too, I started the game a couple months ago and I've had a great time with it, currently level 220, I guess I'm lucky to have been able to break the 2 walls sooner rather than later, I agree with you, building a character can be a pain especially if you don't spend money to get materials, books etc. not to mention that you can only get a limited number of materials per day which makes the process slower to the point that advancing in the story can take MONTHS making one lose interest, they should at least update the support units that they offer you in the story to at least advance at a more constant pace.
With regards to the story: If they really want me to push it then give me MORE POWER!!!! Right now i've taken to watching the chapters on youtube due to the ridiculous grind that are chapters 22+

i still stand by the game end game wise even with max attack upgrades still can take lik 10 secs to kill regular mobs at the late stage and thats rlly annoying tbh other than that its pretty good
The minigame is good. But the loading screens, holy crap. Getting hit by a stray bullet and getting knocked into another screen, requires 2 loading screens to get back.
You push story to upgrade outpost income. After you get stuck, you open some resource boxes to keep pushing; If you're stuck on the 160lvl, then you just need to wait to get past it and they made that easier with the recent update. Remember to also push hard mode to upgrade outpost lvl.
I get it. I stopped playing the story for a while because all the bullshit dragging the progression; I only did daily activiities and played the events. Once I acquired various meta Nikkes and surpassed the 160 wall is that I got back to it. You will have to be patient no matter what, because you can aliviate the hassle but never truly avoid it...unless you pay.

They have alot of room before it feels like player fatigue. The game for dailies is like 5 mins(mostly AFK). Im sure people wouldnt mind something they can do extra for another 5-10 mins. ATM an area where I could get more core dust daily would be nice since that is my biggest cap from progressing levels, which means progressing story at synchro level 242. Also I want to use my nikkes, do another tribe tower where you need 2-3 teams.
I just finished the Cinderella story part 2. Grave didn’t show up at all? Maybe she does in the campaign idk or maybe in the future but I think Grave is actually Abe after she fell and got fixed
I want the game to add more to the nikkes - the game has not expanded on that front at all, I mean OK we are getting new nikkes - but I want more content for the existing Nikkes - new shooting poses for every nikke(lying down shooting), a R&R zone where the nikkes stay in a different pose, on chair or something... The game needs to evolve. Just adding 1-2 new nikkes with the same few poses and voices is not enough. The game needs to evolve !
I think they need to get their priorities straight. They should be spending the bulk of their development resources on expanding their base game story and modes. We're here to play Nikke, not minigame clones of other games. Minigames are a welcome distraction while they are not expanding the base content, but they are not fixing the underlying problem. If I run out of content to play in Nikke (finish story and sectors) then I probably won't be playing much Nikke anymore. I could instead go play the full featured games that their minigame clones are based on.
Personally, i was enjoying the mini game with all those lore bits and such... but after story 2, i kinda don't care anymore. I'll probably push through for the rewards but that's it. i think my only issue on the mini game itself is how they locked it behind the event story progess. I hope they go with Magica girl theme at some point... madoka collab copium, lets goo.

Mainly tired of being stuck in story because my characters are not meeting the lvl + power requirements. I enjoy the game, but I do not enjoy missing out on a lot of stuff because we are required to sit and wait around trying to get many copies for our NIKKE's. And even then, sometimes the power doesn't go up by much. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I hate the sitting around and waiting for months at a time being stuck and unable to progress.
I find it funny that the only woman in the interviews is always hiding her face. Feels like she is embarrassed to be working there, but yet she is working there.
There never was a champion arena . They never worked on it past "what the hell would that even be" talk after some one blurted out champion arena. I hope if implimented its 2 v 2. 2 characters vs 2 so no full burst and elemination tournament weekly with random T9 m as rewards
As a person who started playing Nikke around the time of Moran's release that game has little to no meaningful content worth paying for or staying for. I played the game up until the 160 wall. Fortunately for me I got past it without much issue due to hoarding resources early. Then I kept playing until the 1.5 Anni, and then I stopped playing out of boredom and lack of anything interesting to do until the 2nd Anni. Say what you want but, PVP is horrible, you have no control over your team and no matter if you use a PVP team or a PVE team. The whale that spend thousands on the game wins. Coop should be around more often, being able to actually interact with other people is fun and a endurance boss rush mode would be nice since standard coop bosses get shredded in seconds. The solo raids are fun and should be around more often since the rewards it gives are unattainable in a timely matter otherwise. The story of Nikke does not interest me the more I play the game, I went from liking the story to hating it after realizing I'm supposed to be playing as a boy scout wonder that thinks war can be won with 'talking' and 'understanding' when he should be toughening up and learning what body armor is to stop getting injured by the most basic shit. It doesn't help that the events that are story related confused me at first before I realized I need to effectively finish the story mode to keep up with the current lore. Gameplay is boring, there are only so many times that I can do the same thing over and over before getting bored. Shiftup either lacks the funds, manpower, or ability to plan for more content to be brought to the game. As a person that has played Azur lane for multiple years and hasn't spent a cent I'm proud to say I've bought Gems for Azur Lane and supported devs that actually listen to the community. This is my opinion but these are my thoughts as a f2p that casually plays the game and doesn't care for min maxing.
I like the event story and the minigame as well except the loading screens. Regarding pvp, I don't really do pvp I just claim the currency everyday since I don't like pvp in gachas but tbf I'm a day 1 player so it doesn't really affect me that much. Regarding the story, if they want people to catch up they better lower the cp requirement cause I can't imagine starting nikke now for the story it'll take you months or even more of grind especially if you're f2p to catch up and you'll 100% get spoiled anyways you better off just watch the story on youtube. I wish they do how BA do it by seperating the normal stages and story so you could do it anytime you want and not lock it by combat power, like power lock the hard stages not the story.
I started playing Nikke few days ago, so far i very love story, music, characters and gameplay BUT, one big problem to me - too many similar game modes: story - you fight, event - fight, arena - fight, tower - fight, simulation - fight, interception - still fight, lost sector - I thought it's something different like puzzles but no - fights.
February/March or July/August. Likely depending on when they release it on PC and possibly for other consoles. We only know that they said it will happen and that there are two collab slots per year. We don't know when they would do the collab.

New Year characters have so far been two Pilgrims: Modernia and Scarlet Black Shadow; The latter being the Goddess Squad version of Scarlet. There's a mission pass outfit every month, but i don't know about a gacha outfit. Also Nikke doesn't do event re-runs, they only archive old events to be replayable with the ability to get the event art and music as an reward.

Given that the banner has been always a Pilgrim; Most are expecting another Pilgrim this year. The interesting part is the possible re-run, because even though Modernia had a re-run; The question is why did she get it? She was the first Pilgrim with a banner, she also was the first new year character and she also won the first popularity poll. So if we're getting a re-run, there's three possibilities to happen. Dorothy gets a re-run, since she's the second Pilgrim banner, SBS gets a re-run because she was last years new year character or Red Hood gets a re-run because she won the popularity poll.
They make good stories and cool characters, I don't mind them taking their time making it if it's ended up being good like always. No one wants half S'd contents.
Solo Raids are all that matter and it is a bit boring. Outside of story, Solo Raid is the only reason I play anymore. They are way off the mark with the "we don't want you to have too much content" mentality. Solo Raid is the only real gameplay challenge and is once a month. Want reasons to keep playing

Yeah, the PVP is pretty much non-existent. They should explore diferent modes, anything would be better than Arena at this point.

Ohhh it gets worse man. On ch 26 rn and for the past 3 chapters, each one starts at a plus 15k combat power of the where the previous ch ended off.

Wouldn’t it be cool if characters ran forward and progressed in game. Maybe a 2-3 stage progression of walking to the next “area”/“cover” they can expand this to run to different area in different ways and increase the numbers maybe.
The mirror minigame is by far the best game we have had. It takes you like 20 hours to actually beat the game 100%. To actually upgrade your abilities takes even longer. It had actual cutscenes and it was awesome. But i will say im a little disappointed to the ending. I thought there might've been a true ending but no. 1 and done
Think 100% took me like 4 hours for upgrades probably knocked it to like 7-10

I can't 100% the game because some areas are too high for me to double jump to 🫤. Like, I SHOULD be able to reach it, but I can't. The devs need to patch that
I found the minigame really annoying. I'm stuck at 68% complete, and can't get past a couple of doors. There's no hints about where to go, or any kind of clue about wtf I'm supposed to do now.

I really don't care much about the Champion Arena, I'm just glad that the game is constantly moving forward with content and specially lore.
Before migrating to Nikke, I played a bunch of gacha games that ended up stagnating their main story then bombarding you with side events that can't be even connected to the main story... then they decide to make another game that is "somewhat connected" to the main game's story while their original game keeps on stagnating or getting stuck in a single story arc for years far longer than Naruto's Great Ninja War Arc... well at least Naruto updates every week meanwhile these gacha games update their main story only twice a year... and these games have the balls to keep dumping new gacha characters that doesn't even have stories but just meta power creeps.
I'm just glad that the content is steady flowing in Nikke... but I still want more Nikkes that needs immediate correction!! 💢💢💢

Honestly yeah.
Only other gacha game I have played before was granblue fantasy, and even with that I felt it had too many collaborations with different IPs. I'm pretty glad Nikke hasn't done that many. And at least Nikke also has some kind of in-game lore for these too.

I have one theory that "might" be true,Siren is Indivilia,Hansel and Gretel are Liberalio,now why i say this if you compare hair color of Siren and Indivilia they are exactly same(black and kinda greenish),now Hansel and Gretel(if you look at hair of Gretel its sorta cat like especially top),i am thinking they didn't get "happier" ending like Grave and Cinderella.
The big content coming is going to be the surface exploration stuff. It's massively important to the story.
Aren't they already exploring the surface? The last 4 chapters starting from Crystal Region has been about the Commander and the Counters establishing a base in the region.
Shit up recent sold the Destiny Child right to Comus2 to make a new Idle Rpg Destiny Child so i am happy to see the game back. For Nikke content in general gone be the new characters and chapters of story.
I think the reason Shift up keeps delaying champions mode is they are trying to keep the select your squad and let anyone attack you at any time format. While also trying to make it feel different from the other two pvp arena modes; a task that in my opinion is impossible. The best alternatives I can think of is a competitive Raid or Nikke auto chess.
I would definitely play a TFT like game using Nikkes as units.
X-Com style combat would be cool.
I’m an older player and never would consider myself a “gamer”, but I am enjoying this one quite a bit. I just started playing 2 months ago. I’m big on story. They need more stories like Old Tales. Story II really goes hard and gives you some great lore for the game.
I also like being able to build up characters and THAT, is a slog. I’m at the 160 wall and can see how it could take months for a ftp to break it. They really are doing the Anni up right, but why not have more bonus weekends and such to at least power up your Nikke’s to progress in the story?
Hi, new player (f2p) here too, I started the game a couple months ago and I've had a great time with it, currently level 220, I guess I'm lucky to have been able to break the 2 walls sooner rather than later, I agree with you, building a character can be a pain especially if you don't spend money to get materials, books etc. not to mention that you can only get a limited number of materials per day which makes the process slower to the point that advancing in the story can take MONTHS making one lose interest, they should at least update the support units that they offer you in the story to at least advance at a more constant pace.
With regards to the story: If they really want me to push it then give me MORE POWER!!!!

i still stand by the game end game wise even with max attack upgrades still can take lik 10 secs to kill regular mobs at the late stage and thats rlly annoying tbh other than that its pretty good
The minigame is good. But the loading screens, holy crap. Getting hit by a stray bullet and getting knocked into another screen, requires 2 loading screens to get back.

You push story to upgrade outpost income. After you get stuck, you open some resource boxes to keep pushing; If you're stuck on the 160lvl, then you just need to wait to get past it and they made that easier with the recent update.
Remember to also push hard mode to upgrade outpost lvl.
I get it. I stopped playing the story for a while because all the bullshit dragging the progression; I only did daily activiities and played the events. Once I acquired various meta Nikkes and surpassed the 160 wall is that I got back to it. You will have to be patient no matter what, because you can aliviate the hassle but never truly avoid it...unless you pay.

They have alot of room before it feels like player fatigue. The game for dailies is like 5 mins(mostly AFK). Im sure people wouldnt mind something they can do extra for another 5-10 mins. ATM an area where I could get more core dust daily would be nice since that is my biggest cap from progressing levels, which means progressing story at synchro level 242. Also I want to use my nikkes, do another tribe tower where you need 2-3 teams.
I don't mind they delay Champion Arena. It means less things to do daily.

I want the game to add more to the nikkes - the game has not expanded on that front at all, I mean OK we are getting new nikkes - but I want more content for the existing Nikkes - new shooting poses for every nikke(lying down shooting), a R&R zone where the nikkes stay in a different pose, on chair or something... The game needs to evolve. Just adding 1-2 new nikkes with the same few poses and voices is not enough. The game needs to evolve !

I think they need to get their priorities straight. They should be spending the bulk of their development resources on expanding their base game story and modes. We're here to play Nikke, not minigame clones of other games. Minigames are a welcome distraction while they are not expanding the base content, but they are not fixing the underlying problem. If I run out of content to play in Nikke (finish story and sectors) then I probably won't be playing much Nikke anymore. I could instead go play the full featured games that their minigame clones are based on.
Personally, i was enjoying the mini game with all those lore bits and such... but after story 2, i kinda don't care anymore. I'll probably push through for the rewards but that's it. i think my only issue on the mini game itself is how they locked it behind the event story progess.
I hope they go with Magica girl theme at some point... madoka collab copium, lets goo.

Mainly tired of being stuck in story because my characters are not meeting the lvl + power requirements. I enjoy the game, but I do not enjoy missing out on a lot of stuff because we are required to sit and wait around trying to get many copies for our NIKKE's. And even then, sometimes the power doesn't go up by much. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I hate the sitting around and waiting for months at a time being stuck and unable to progress.

There never was a champion arena . They never worked on it past "what the hell would that even be" talk after some one blurted out champion arena. I hope if implimented its 2 v 2. 2 characters vs 2 so no full burst and elemination tournament weekly with random T9 m as rewards

As a person who started playing Nikke around the time of Moran's release that game has little to no meaningful content worth paying for or staying for. I played the game up until the 160 wall. Fortunately for me I got past it without much issue due to hoarding resources early. Then I kept playing until the 1.5 Anni, and then I stopped playing out of boredom and lack of anything interesting to do until the 2nd Anni. Say what you want but, PVP is horrible, you have no control over your team and no matter if you use a PVP team or a PVE team. The whale that spend thousands on the game wins. Coop should be around more often, being able to actually interact with other people is fun and a endurance boss rush mode would be nice since standard coop bosses get shredded in seconds. The solo raids are fun and should be around more often since the rewards it gives are unattainable in a timely matter otherwise.
The story of Nikke does not interest me the more I play the game, I went from liking the story to hating it after realizing I'm supposed to be playing as a boy scout wonder that thinks war can be won with 'talking' and 'understanding' when he should be toughening up and learning what body armor is to stop getting injured by the most basic shit. It doesn't help that the events that are story related confused me at first before I realized I need to effectively finish the story mode to keep up with the current lore.
Gameplay is boring, there are only so many times that I can do the same thing over and over before getting bored. Shiftup either lacks the funds, manpower, or ability to plan for more content to be brought to the game. As a person that has played Azur lane for multiple years and hasn't spent a cent I'm proud to say I've bought Gems for Azur Lane and supported devs that actually listen to the community. This is my opinion but these are my thoughts as a f2p that casually plays the game and doesn't care for min maxing.

Regarding pvp, I don't really do pvp I just claim the currency everyday since I don't like pvp in gachas but tbf I'm a day 1 player so it doesn't really affect me that much.
Regarding the story, if they want people to catch up they better lower the cp requirement cause I can't imagine starting nikke now for the story it'll take you months or even more of grind especially if you're f2p to catch up and you'll 100% get spoiled anyways you better off just watch the story on youtube.
I wish they do how BA do it by seperating the normal stages and story so you could do it anytime you want and not lock it by combat power, like power lock the hard stages not the story.

I started playing Nikke few days ago, so far i very love story, music, characters and gameplay BUT, one big problem to me - too many similar game modes: story - you fight, event - fight, arena - fight, tower - fight, simulation - fight, interception - still fight, lost sector - I thought it's something different like puzzles but no - fights.
if mini game is open, you have two that isn't a fight... but a fight against the clock! 🥊🥊⏲
On later lost sector, the time there will be spent more on figuring out your way through the map than fighting.

What exactly do you mean special costume? New Year characters have so far been two Pilgrims: Modernia and Scarlet Black Shadow; The latter being the Goddess Squad version of Scarlet. There's a mission pass outfit every month, but i don't know about a gacha outfit.
Also Nikke doesn't do event re-runs, they only archive old events to be replayable with the ability to get the event art and music as an reward.

She was the first Pilgrim with a banner, she also was the first new year character and she also won the first popularity poll.
So if we're getting a re-run, there's three possibilities to happen. Dorothy gets a re-run, since she's the second Pilgrim banner, SBS gets a re-run because she was last years new year character or Red Hood gets a re-run because she won the popularity poll.

They make good stories and cool characters, I don't mind them taking their time making it if it's ended up being good like always. No one wants half S'd contents.
Solo Raids are all that matter and it is a bit boring. Outside of story, Solo Raid is the only reason I play anymore. They are way off the mark with the "we don't want you to have too much content" mentality. Solo Raid is the only real gameplay challenge and is once a month. Want reasons to keep playing
