      DeZ Nutz i dont love that 11 to 5 ratio. A QB isn’t elite just bc he wins. We’ve seen some shitty QBs win with a good defense or good pieces around them.
      Now I think Lamar’s a really quarterback and JUST BARELY falls short from being an elite QB. He will be if he continues to improve, but an elite QB needs to be more accurate. His WRs drop passes, but once he improves that QB to int ratio & throws consistently for 250+ yards every game then I’ll give it to him.

That is how much respect his coaches and teammates have in him. In spite of the absence of Marquise Brown, steady rain and Andrews dropping passes, Lamar put the offense on his shoulders and willed this team to victory. Imagine that in spite of being only 22 years of age! I call that elite.

    I still don't get the argument about what they are trying to say about Lamar Jackson. I mean, what's an elite NFL player that plays the QB position, but he's not an elite QB?? It doesn't make any sense when you put some actual thought into it. There are a lot of average NFL QB that has elite arm strength, that can sit behind the pocket all day, sling it down the field, and they still suck. So their argument is really weak about the elite QB criteria that they are trying to label Lamar Jackson.

  • @kavorkafanstar
    @kavorkafanstar 4 года назад +1

    He is definitely not an elite passer. He throws wobbling ducks all the time. He rarely drops a true dime. His passes are often behind and high. His scouting report said he had poor mechanics. His numbers have looked good because his running ability has led to a lot of wide open passed to large TE's into the middle of the field. It's easier to catch a duck thrown off target when your not getting lit up or fairly wide open. The drop passes thing is somewhat of a myth or at least "if it hits the hands it should be caught." If you're an elite WR you may catch wobbly passes thrown behind you when running at full speed in the playoffs, but the vast majority of wr's need a spiral on target. The chances that he becomes an elite passer learning in the NFL when he isn't an elite passer now are slim. Can someone name an elite passer in the history of the NFL that started his passing career looking so poorly as Lamar? Name a HOF'er or SB winner that came out of college as an average passer but became an elite passer?
