  • Ryan Nurse is a Brit currently living in Central America. When he was 18, he and some friends were attacked and beaten outside a neighborhood pub.
Ryan was left with a TBI (traumatic brain injury) that left him at death's door. Emergency brain surgery was performed and he was put in a medically induced coma. Shortly before waking up from his coma, Ryan had a near death experience that forever changed his life.
Ryan was an atheist that "didn't believe in anything." Now he is full of forgiveness, optimism, and knows that he has a purpose in life.
In this episode you will hear about Ryan's NDE, how he has changed, and valuable lessons on forgiveness, resentment, and pain. He is full of energy and does a great job telling his unusual story!

This is giving me some flashbacks to the nights-out of my own youth. The danger is like a rite of passage in the UK. Mothers waiting up all night for their kid to hopefully make it home safely has been normalised. No sign of it ever changing.
Things like drunks refusing to be served coming back and smashing their car through the nightclub windows. Fireworks getting tossed into the club. Stabbings. Fights over the tiniest thing. Fires started on the nightbus home. I don't miss it.
Glad I broke out of the cycle of binge drinking and won't put my kids into the same situation. Though I'm sure they'll find their own risks to take.

Enthralling story Ryan.I suggest the doctors attending you with different language were healing medics from another realm and if you had not their intervention you may not have survived this horrendous injury...Thanks to you both.❤❤🌟🌟

That's because it is a story. It's his story.

I've known a lot of people that speak exactly the way he does. Seems quite natural to me.

I think it’s because he’s retelling it as his now job. It doesn’t seem natural at all but that’s probably because he’s retold it so many times. He’s trying really hard to get you to ‘imagine’. I had to skip parts as, as a parent to a boy of the same age, it was too much for me to hear.
Wish him all the best - horrific thing to go through. What those men did was unbelievable, but Ryan has a strong message of forgiveness and that can’t ever be a bad thing.
