In this video, I'll be sharing a review of my subscribers' dividend portfolios. We'll take a look at three different dividend portfolios, and will check out all of the different dividend stocks in each one. I’ll give my honest thoughts on what I like about these dividend portfolios, as well as what I think could be improved.

FYI biweekly also means every two weeks which gives you 26 paydays a year vs bimonthly 24 paydays. So twice a year, biweekly pay has two months which have three paydays. This means you can save more money during those two months. I enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work.
Ahh good to know. I took biweekly as twice a week, but thanks for letting me know there’s another meaning to it
@rynewilliams English is really dumb sometimes. The fact that it can mean 1 every 2 month or 2x a month is absurd. Just like read is the past tense of read but you can't understand the pronunciation of either without context. And also we have the words reed and red which have entirely different meanings but have the same pronunciation as read and read.
Just an FYI....the second portfolio says bi-weekly and is correct....bi-weekly means every two weeks or twice a week, but depends on how someone uses it to describe a time schedule

Absolutely correct. Myself and a lot of ppl is biweekly. Bi monthly is only twice a month. Biweekly is ever two week sometimes you get paid 3 times in a month

Great video Ryne. Thank you. Loved your assessment and review of each of the portfolios... This amateur agrees with your findings.... It's not good to look into the rear view mirror of life BUT boy, I sure wish I had this platform and quality people out there guiding us when I was a 18 year old.... I was investing but had to pour over books, value line at the library and Barrons - but not truly knowing what I was doing - but in the end - Brokerage's were not free trades - or odd lots not allowed.... Amazing how things have changed over the decades. This 67 year old has fared well so far.... Thanks again Ryne for all of your very thought provoking videos.... All the best to you and your wife. I hold NVDY and how I play it is to take the nice monthly dividends and reinvest the money somewhere else like DGRO or SCHD. I agree that reinvesting that money in NVDY would be a bad move.

Yup actually I’ve been thinking a lot on cutting those 3 lower positions and reinvesting in others, the only one I’m having second thoughts is with FDX as I’m thinking on building it up further… not sure yet, also agree on NEP, but still thinking about the best strategy there as I like to keep my individual stocks into different industries and that is my only one on utilities. Really appreciate your input! Thanks!

I’m sure sometimes it’s difficult to come up with content. I also wanted to start my own channel but I think there is also chances with just being partner with someone and edit for them so currently working on developing that skill I’m sure someone out there can use an editor

This is only my second time making a video like this, and I don’t necessarily have a specific schedule, although I plan to do them once a month. They’ll probably come out around the same time every month…so sometime toward the late middle of the month

Question about your Portfolio #2 review. I am a new investor as well and recently just invested my $20K savings nest egg. I decided to invest in individual stocks in the S&P 500 such as SYY, ABBV, JNJ & MCD but want to get an ETF position started. Would it not be smart to start investing in VOO then? My only real reason for wanting to invest in VOO is to gain access to some of their top 10 holdings I don't feel the need to buy individually but then does it make sense to sell out of those other individual positions I have above? Would love some advice, thanks! Love the content

Haha man it wouldn't be that bad. I'd certainly give my honest opinion, but I would never be a jerk about it or anything. Plus, I think you use some of your dividends right now don't you? Or are you still reinvesting all of them?
I’m still reinvesting everything. My plan is to get out of bartending and move into music full time in the next 1-4 years :-)
Love your google spreadsheet, if you would update it to international stocks, and currency conversion, it would be super great
The international stocks is out of my control unfortunately. That’s all dependent on what Google and FinViz have data for. I’m really glad to hear you like the spreadsheet though!
What I have seen is that the dividend doesn't work. But for example KPN (Telecom Netherlands) if you insert AMS:KPN it works, price in euros. Going to program a currency converter, so you see total value in Dollars, and total value in Euros, cannot be that difficult :) Also dividend you can insert manually and it works fine
May i ask you what would you chose as europe alternative for schd im currently thinking between vhyd and fusd to have both on my portfolio

The 114% payout ratio would that mean the company is going 14% beyond what they make In order to pay out a dividend to its share holders there for having a -14% POR
That’s correct, but the payout ratio isn’t negative because they still are generating positive earnings. If the net income was negative, then they’d have a negative payout ratio
I'd take that whole $800 portfolio and put it into NVDA. He's already holding it, so take it from 0.00 shares up to about 5.7 shares at todays price.

Im curious to know how come everyone invest a specific dollar amount? I guess to each is own and nothing wrong with that. But maybe some food for thought for everyone maybe invest a % of your income. When i started i invested 15% of my income every check for the fact that not everyone hours are set in stone so checks fluctuate for some. That way if my check was shorter than expected the 15% invesent would stay the same eventhough the amount maybe different. That was my 1st year lol now i invest 60-70% of my income. Only now because i realize that 30% is more than enough to cover monthly expenses and family fun lol.
Last year I invested around $80k in total (457b, Roth IRA, and a brokerage acct) I'm investing well over 15% of my salary but, when you're debt free, you can do that.

Enjoyed watching the review of peoples portfolios. Would call this more constructive criticism than brutal. You seem like a smart, but nice guy. Some reviews get vicious & ruthless with the roasts.

Thanks, and yea that's a somewhat fair assessment. I'm being completely honest with my opinions on these portfolios, and I'm not sugarcoating things, but I'm not going to go out of my way to be a jerk to the people who are willing to let me review their portfolios. It seems unnecessary to be vicious. I want to encourage people to continue on and keep taking steps in the right direction.
