Go back to RB 100% in the 240. Just as how you built the RB20 to a reliable one fixing all the RB issues and being able to daily it, you should do it again. If not RB20 at least a RB25, your right about the prices here in TnT where I live it's the same problem, prices for the engine alone complete you can get a driving car for the price. What you can do is buy a blown up one and build it or buy a bare engine ( head + block ) and build it from there, don't need to be a crazy big power build just something reliable and able to daily / track with no issues.
I’m still interested in the GTR rust repairs. It would be interesting to continue watching a clip of the before and then time lapses leading to the finished repair

You should do a nice piston/rod KA24DE-T in the 240!!! Nobody ever does KA builds, but they are extremely underrated IMO. That would be a nice build (and pretty cost effective with readily available parts for the performance you get)!
I got my 180SX 23yrs ago and it was my daily from 2000 to 2014 to I moved from Australia to Asia for work. It is just sitting in the parents garage waiting for the day I return and slap on all my old new stock parts, can't wait to see that build.

Crazy idea here. Ka24-t setups have come a long way and people are making 400-500 on stock rotating assemblies. And ka engines are CHEAP and plentiful. Just food for thought. Would help get some variety since you have 2 i6 cars now already.

I used to not care for ls' till i saw the versatility, and what you get for your money. I have an ls e36, that im putting a 6.0 in , and gonna trade it for an ls 135i. I had an rb25 swapped r32, which i sold and regret it. But theyre honestly not worth todays prices. Was my favorite car.

Personally, I'd do the 240 as a track car, either an SR or K24 swap. RB's cost a lot and are heavy.
