What lies beneath the Bermuda Triangle seabed?

  • There’s one place in the oceans that has particularly sinister fame.
In the distant 15th century, Christopher Columbus’s expedition faced something that made the whole team panic. The great discoverer's ship journal contains accounts of the compass needle going haywire, huge spurts of flame appearing out of nowhere, and the sea giving off a strange glow.
Many years later, this dead place proved once again how sinister it is.
Ships disappear without a trace here. Sometimes they are found - drifting, empty, and completely desolated... But more often than not we don’t even find wrecks.
But it’s not only the ships that go missing!
Planes disappear too. Even entire squadrons of military aircraft!
Facts and rumors about these incredible phenomena have quickly spread around the globe, and soon this region of the Atlantic became known as something sinister, and it continues to uphold its eerie reputation even today.
You’ve already guessed it. This is the Bermuda Triangle.
What kind of supernatural power is hidden under its waters?
And what does science say about all this?
    The Bermuda Triangle.

    It is a shibboleth.
You'll find rough patches of sea, especially over the Gulf Stream. Frequent path of hurricanes, but nothing supernatural.
I've sailed it. Once, after a storm, I surfed our 53' fiberglass sailing yacht down 50' following seas. Saw waterspouts there too.
If you fear the ocean, the "Bermuda Triangle" myth may frighten you. But I love the ocean; I feel part of it.

Because the currents converge there, you have to deal with extreme temperature differences at that location, which means that the weather can change from calm to a tropical storm in minutes. And underwater the landscape is quite flat, but triangular in the center point due to mountains that stand out because the ground is higher there. That is the conclusion of the whole story.

He also talk to astronauts, airplane pilots, fighter pilots and Aron Donick engineers. He said that they had pilot got disorientated and he was in radio contact and then he went farther and farther away, even though the radio man realized that he was in the graveyard spatial. And when you’re training you have to listen to the captain no matter what, even if he’s going the wrong direction. They said that the pilot got almost back to Fort Lauderdale and then got disorientated and took the training crew back out to sea and they ran out of fuel. As they were a training crew they did not know how to land on water so they crashed. They have found a couple of the planes.

Most of these things are probably “normal” disappearances but we can’t deny there’s a lot of the crazy stories out there… The craziest stories are some of the UFO reports from military pilots where the craft fly right into the ocean or see lights under the water that fly out into space.

If you compare any part of the oceans of comparable size, and calculate in terms of ships and planes disappearing per thousand, it's not any different than any other part of the oceans. The fact that it's one of the busiest parts of the seas gives the illusion of a statistical anomaly.

Explain how the pilot of a Cessna airplane got caught in a vortex that transported him and his passengers from Puerto Rico to Miami in a minimal amount of time compared what it usually takes. First the plane flys into a green fog that started swirling around the plane. The pilot starts calling out on his radio for any air traffic control anywhere and weirdly raises Miami's main controller. They figured out this Cessna is over Miami and he landed a flight that should have taken a lot longer.

My theory is that the Bermuda Triangle has a magnetic attraction that messes up flight boxes and ship control leading it to the center of the triangle. • @HajileLezcnev

Its all due to methane gas rising from the seabed. The gas interferes with instruments which can have planes believe they're much higher than they actually are, then they crash if there's low visibility. The gas also causes ships to simply sink on account of the gas being lighter than water and in turn causes them to no longer be buoyant.

On the earth, the water in a toilet turns the opposite direction in the Northern hemisphere compared to the Southern hemisphere.
There is some kind of gravitational pull that makes that happen.
My thought is that the differences of the water directions have to have a center point and that center point can become erratic.
I think the Bermuda Triangle may be the center point that brings the Northern and Southern magmatic pulls together and because of that the waters are unstable and cause vessels and airplanes to lose their magmatic compass 🧭 /direction and the force of the ocean within the Bermuda Triangle becomes so forceful that without a solid magnetic pull having a firm direction it becomes erratic.

I have read several articles about a ground penetrating radar mounted on a satellite that can see well into the ground, differing accounts saying as much as several kilometers. If this radar can be mounted on a satellite it can also be mounted on an aircraft.
What I would like to see/know is a search of the entire world's oceans where the water is less than one thousand feet deep done by an aircraft at two miles altitude.
Now let me prophesize, there will be ruins of ancient civilizations found predating the retreat of the last ice age with some perhaps showing advanced technology.

GPR typically is used for above ground applications and generally is not believed to work well in wet conditions as water can increase host material conductivity and in turn reduce GPR resolution, depth penetration and therefore any success. Saline sea water is definitely a material to avoid with GPR due to the high conductivity. However, GPR can be used in specific freshwater applications, most notably freshwater lake bed profiling.

The Buoyancy theory is the best one, and I think the gas might make the crews jump in the water, seems counter intuitive there is no air there either, but if it is noxious enough or was burning your skin you would lose your senses.
They don't have to be major gas leaks, just a big buble coming up under a ship, once it has sank below sea level that's it, the ocean comes in on them as the gas dissipates. And Columbus and his crews saw eruptions in the form of those flames. It may have been more active 400 years ago.
The grounded wreck still having no bodies is suspicious. Thats a big boat, someone should have made it ashore with the wreck even deceased. Scavengers don't eat bones.

I'm going with structural failure and the storm. Later on, it was discovered that all of the Proteus-class colliers (coal ships) had structural defects that made them prone to hull failure. Also, when she left Rio de Janiero, she had been loaded past her Plimsol mark (today this is called a load line). Combine this wiith the fact that she had to return to Baltimore on just one engine which, combined with an excess load, would have made her more difficult to handle once she'd returned to the open Atlantic. There was a storm off the mouth of Chesapeake Bay right about the time she was due to enter the bay. I think that she went down in that storm.
Interestingly, in 1968, a navy diver, Dean Hawes, was on a dive about 40 miles east of Cape Charles when he found a sunken ship, the likes of which he'd never seein before. He said that her bridge was supported on stilts and that erormous arms stretched behind the bridge into the gloom. Later, Hawes read an article on the mystery of the Cyclops and he recognised the ship he'd found from her picture which accompanied said article. Finally, the Navy conducted aother search but nothing was found. I suspect the wreck might have slid into deeper water sometime after 1968. Of course the ship Hawes found could have been either the Proteus or the Nereus. But until the wreck is rediscovered, no one will know.

Not scary at all, just a lot of myths and marketing (people selling a good story) that has built up the legend. "According to Lloyd’s of London and the US Coastguard, the number of people that go missing in the Bermuda Triangle is the same as anywhere in the world on a percentage basis." On a percentage basis (amount of traffic in that area vs disappearances) no more ships or planes have disappeared there than anywhere else in the world.
