Micheal Bay: Yes
movies are such a freak show now, the black guy is awful, throw in a mexican woman, a gay FBI guy, and a I guess woman or some person you cant tell what their sex is, Jake's a good actor but 2 hrs of a dumb ambulance driving around, at least i didnt pay a cent to watch this, free was a fare price for this, plus there had to be 2 or 3000 rounds of ammo fired in this so the idiot gun nuts should still love it, movies are totally weird now but i guess they do reflect the good old melting pot of america and not just a bunch of white boys running around, but i kept fast forwarding thru this movie and it was the same dumb scene of cops chasing an ambulance wouldve been funnier if it was lawyers chasing the ambulance for 2 hrs

I grew up on Michael bay movies ever since transformers. He’s the goat.
This movie was awesome it’s literally non stop
I thought it was cool that they were filming the police car flying in the air after driving fast, and they did near the freeway where everyone driving by could see and think, wow, what's going on over there. People got to see the actors and cars in action when they shot this.
This made me cry 😢 love it

4:06 POOR DRONE BROKE
Besides the obvious serious story of the heist, the shot LAPD officer and the stolen Ambulance there's a lot of humorous moments thrown into the mix on this film.
For example when the cops finally think that they have the Ambulance boxed in, Danny fires a few shots at the squad car which disturbs Nitro, Captain Monroe's dog in the back seat.
Then, we have the reunion of old acquaintances in FBI Agent Anton Clark and Danny.
As well as the camaraderie between Captain Monroe and Zaga in the back of the comms vehicle.
Did Bay use ever green screen. The movie seems pure action.

I was a supervisor at a theatre when this was released I watched it like 5 times because I got it for free but also because it was a great film. Tried getting people to watch it but they all thought it was dumb because of the title so never watched it

I just wonder how many people noticed the very blatant error that was made in terms of the continuation in the movie production.
When William pulls the Ambulance underneath the bridge to be resprayed and the four or five other ambulances head out.
Danny's guy Castro who was responsible for the spraying of the main vehicle heads off with instructions from Danny and $10,000, but the ambulance that he drives off in is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, although you can't really see the whole vehicle you can tell by the shape as he gets into the driver's seat.
But less than a few minutes later he's stopped by LAPD in a US style Ford ambulance which is much more squareish and a wider vehicle.

This was an awesome movie that was poorly marketed. I didnt even know about this movie until last week until i searched up Michael Bay's imdb page and saw that this was in his directing credits. What was up with the marketing?
"It has emotional stakes", well, can´t agree with that. There were no reasons to even cheer for main characters, when they were murdering and destroying half of the city.
Yeah in other interview he said there was no back story and his character wasn’t fleshed out and basically he wasn’t sure why they were rooting for him 😂

I'm sorry to say but I felt like it was pretty unrealistic.
a fun meth paced, entirely unbelievable bit of horribly loud, except when they're mumbling the inane dialogue, bit of standardly cast Hollywood fluff! Yes, another strangely explained biracial family, some cute boys for gals and the usual physically gifted gal for the boys. The bitchy lady cop that suddenly resurfaced half way through the race with a new bridesmaid one sided ringlet doo, was a hoot! Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, however, somehow manages a decent performance, despite the b grade this barely evades.
why does he make the camerawork all by himself? can’t he pay operators?

Why was it necessary for this "documentary" to blow smoke up Bay’s ass for the entire length of the piece. Yes, we all know Bay makes action films. He is certainly not the best, despite what this puff piece tries to assert. How much crap has Bay put out over the years? This particular film doesn't suck because the script was outstanding. If you really want to praise someone, praise the original film that this is based on and the great script by Chris Fedak. Pandering to the narcissistic sociopaths that direct modern films is just so cringe at this point.
