I have an Aussie & he is much like the Border Collie. However, there are differences. At about 7 years of age he slowed way down & started showing arthritis pain in his joints. He also rests more & gains weight easier. I had to cut his food so, he can't have dry food free choice anymore. He has good eyesight but has to have his teeth cleaned finally at 11 years old. Otherwise, he is in pretty good health except for arthritis pain in the winter when it's really cold & humid out. He was so active & worked so hard when he was younger. Plus he injured himself a couple of times & those come back to haunt him when it's cold out. I'll finally have to put him on arthritis meds next winter. It'll be time for him to retire soon. He's letting me know he's almost ready for that. I'll miss him with me when I'm working outside all day but he can still ride in the truck where it's warm for most of the day. I don't think he'd be happy yet, if I left him at home. When he isn't waiting at the door I'll know he's okay with staying in out of the snow & cold. He will have earned his rest. I will miss him so much every single minute of every single day. He is & has been such a joy in my life. A constant & best friend.
We have a border-aussie, and he is one loving dog! I take him on 5 - 10 walks a day. He's a sociable dog but can spot an aggressive dog right away. He's definitely a ball of fun!
@8:47 - The narrator and the captions say "progressive renal atrophy" instead of the correct term "progressive retinal atrophy." The first term (the one named in the video) does not exist, and also refers to the kidney ("renal") instead of the correct term which is part of the eye ("retina"). way cool . ? could Or should we have EV bicycle only roads + walking/riding trails more than automobile ? & or EV trollies .Also Lots more Dog Parks On trails stores every where .
That's an interesting idea! EV-only roads and more trails could definitely create a more sustainable and enjoyable environment for everyone. Plus, who doesn’t love a good dog park?
I'll go for a Border-Aussie!

Your Aussie sounds like a wonderful companion. It's heartwarming to hear about the bond you share.

Border-aussies are such great companions! Sounds like you have a wonderful furry friend.
You'll have to check out the song I wrote about him once I release it this year.
Last year my Border Collie/Aussie Mix past away. I have just adopted Aussie and am looking to adopt a Border Collie. I miss my Aussie Boy.
Got a border collie after my ex took the Aussie puppy we got together. Best decision I ever made. Wouldn’t trade my boy for the world ❤
My childhood friend Courtney she has 2 Australian shepherds one female and one male
