    'seeking a wife is not the task of a boy' so true. It's funny how guys will date a girl for a number of years and then decide to marry her simply because it's 'the next step' without any regard for what it really means to be a husband and a man.

    @teddybeartoe because relationships were never meant to be casual but life-long. "Dating for fun" degrades both men and women.

    I found the interruptions of the translator a little distracting, so I made a transcript that you can follow along with to aid in digestion of what is said. :)
    Males became men a lot earlier, a long time ago. But our culture is so demonic, so unbiblical, that we delay manhood. A male can be 30 years old and still know nothing of what it means to be a man.
    When little boys are born, they stay around their *mother.* Then, when they are old enough to go to school, they go off with all *their friends.* The *greatest influences in their life* are their friends and their secular, humanistic, teachers. Then, they go off to college and they are STILL with their friends, and never with MEN, who teach them how to be MEN. We are destroying manhood in our culture!
    Just as an example, the generation gap. You probably have a generation gap in your *church*; "youth group," because "youth ought to be together."
    Do you realize that is the exact opposite of what scripture teaches? It never says, "youth ought to be together." It says, "He who walks with the wise, will be wise" and "He who walks with fools, walks to destruction."
    Now, please laugh at this! All your life, you've been with *fools* who were just like you! You're surrounded by little kids when you're a little kid. You're surrounded by teenagers when you're a teenager, and surrounded by college age people when you're in college. There's been almost no men in your life, teaching you about biblical manhood. That is one of the great reasons that everything is in such chaos!
    Lets look at any university. You and I both know that they are FULL of grotesque immorality; they're famous for it! Why is that?
    My university had about 70,000 students in it. So, you have about 30,000 young men between the ages of 18 and 24 who have not been trained in manhood. They also have not been taught how precious a woman is, and how she is to be honored and respected. Then, you take out a bunch of girls from the authority of their father and place them in the same situation. You bring them together and it's like mixing fire with gasoline.
    When should a young man think about pursuing a young lady for marriage? Or even, when should a man just start thinking about *participating in the pursuit* of the opposite sex?
    When have you *earned* the right to pursue the opposite sex? You may have never considered that you had to *earn the right* before. You just thought that once you became a teenager that it became your right, because we live in a culture (in the west) where nobody really needs to *earn* anything anymore. Nothing is a *privilege* to be *earned* Everything is a "right" that we demand even though we do nothing to deserve it.
    Look at Genesis 2:24, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and the two shall be joined together and become one flesh." Notice it says "...a MAN shall leave his father and mother..." A man may pursue a relationship with a young woman when he is WILLING and ABLE to separate from his father and mother, and stand alone independently. He can stand alone *spiritually* meaning he walks with God as a man before God and does not need the help of his parents. He can stand alone *morally* meaning he has developed a virtuous character with great conviction. He can stand alone *materially* meaning he is willing and able to provide for himself and his family.
    That would change everything wouldn't it? All these little boys wanting to participate in the *privilege* of manhood without willingness to assume the responsibility of manhood. If your mother and father and still paying for your car insurance you should not think about pursuing the opposite sex. If they're the ones giving you money to go out on a date, you need to think twice!
    Seeking a wife is not the task of a boy!

    @MasterKC111
    Paul Washer is saying that men need to grow up before even considering the pursuit of a woman. The relationship is a gift, but don't through that gift into the garbage because you aren't mature enough to handle it (I'm not talking about you specifically).

    So how can I do anything alone? In 2023 it's close to 4 dollars a gallon for gas and food! Man dont get me started on how much just CHEESE costs.. So how must I live? I wish to be a man as legally I am but how can I in this context financially? I wish to be a worker, a protector, a provider, but how can I financially? Especially in an economy that it is literally collapsing before our eyes. So I rephrase, how can I be a man in this context if America is falling apart. I wish to learn to live as the ways of old. Shoot a deer, eat, raise livestock, and live with God. Why can't things be that easy..
