Excellent job. I enjoyed the step-by-step explanation. As a rank a mature, who does her own nails, going from lacquer (while in high school) to Shellac it’s a whole new world. Not having to change my manicure weekly (lacquer) to doing it every 3-4weeks is such a blessing 😊. This Christmas manicure looks very easy, and will practice on nail pops. It is soooo beautiful! 😊

Pls, What hard gels would you recommend and where can they be obtained?
@@oli4oli amazon is good, lots like ibd l buy ibd from ali express. The silcare builder gel is great too that's from amazon. Cjp nail systems has a builder gel in a bottle, was £8.45 or near for 15ml but the price might be different now since that price was a trial price with it being new.

This is my ALL time favorite! About 8 mos ago someone advertised this on Facebook market place, same set as their own. I was trying to support independent new nail techs, when I ask for this set...she couldn't do it. And the set she did was horrible. Now that I saw who did it and how...I'm going to do it on myself and give the credit where it belongs ❤

Lovely design and that glitter really pops. Good you keep all stages in tutorial for those of us self taught and always learning. I prefer using gel, although I did make myself learn how to use acrylic but because I started with gel I feel more comfortable with acrylic. It was just like when learnt how to drive. I had the option of learning in an automatic but I thought pass your test with gears then you always have the choice of both! I digress, sorry lol. Could you do a tutorial showing some ideas using foils. Maybe a layering method🤔 Something simple but effective that could involve different products such as inks or glitter 🤷🏻♀️Layering gives that lovely depth. Note: I love sparkle 🤫 🙋♀️🇬🇧👏🏻💅🏻🌈🦠

I turn mine backwards, which is best since I'm the client. But yeah maybe you can put it backwards IDK if the clients hands would then be a problem. Good luck.

I've actually never used rubber base from Mia secret before and I use to use young nails protein bond before when I didn't use the rubber base and it work good aswell.

what nail brush are you using for the builder gel?

Can you use a base coat gel, If you can’t purchase the rubber base ?
the rubber base coat I like to use has primer inside. but it also depends on what gel system you are using and what the base gel is made for.
how did you keep the solid part so clean. i tried same method, tiny specs of glitter stuck to solid part no amount of wipe it clean. could get glitter. off
you used alcohol to wipe it clean? I didn't have a problem with the glitter. maybe you had uncured gel that it stuck to and didn't realized. you can easily file it off if anything. thanks for trying this out. 🥰
Is there a difference between a regular base coat and a rubber base???
It depends on what the company that made it intended it for. The base coat im using has primer in at and is made for hard gel application aswell. Gelish also has a base gel that is used for hard gel application but they call it there foundation gel. (Just a different name)
