Such poetic verses. “Building a sandcastle close to the shore…a house of cards from a worn out deck” is my favorite of the song and beautifully conveys how important it is to do the fun and exciting things in life even though you know the final outcome. This song reminds me a lot of “The Dance” by Garth Brooks from purely lyrical standpoint…live your life to the fullest, enjoy it and know there will be pain and sadness but also joy and happiness that you would miss out if didn’t take that leap fearing you may be hurt. “I could have missed the pain, but I’d have had to miss The Dance”.
