Hi! Thanks for sharing. I recreated all the script and I end up with ''region'' like in revit instead of extrusion. Is it the family template that I'm choosing wrong? can you share your script?
Hi Juan, I have tried to recreate your nodes but apparently it does not work. I always end up in an empty model space in Revit everytime I run the script. I am hoping to use this dynamo script for projects collaborating c3d and Revit and would be lovely to have a copy of your nodes. More power to you and to your endeavors.
Hello again, Problem solved. It came from the fact that I had passed the "geometry scaling" in extra large. Considering the size of my project. But you have to leave it in medium.
Amazing! Great work I was looking for this solution to resolve issues. Can you if you can share dynamo script? Thank you in advance it will be great help.
Hello Juan, the script really works perfectly. However, the result is not visualized to me in the Revit environment. Do you know what could be the reason for this? I have set the scale factor to medium and still the 'imported' elements are not shown to me. What kind of family template did you use? I used a General Model Family adaptive, which I then manually renamed from .rfa to .rft. So thank you very much for this interesting video and maybe you can help me with my issue :)
is it working for revit and civil version 2021? because i tried to run the script but it doesn't read the civil file the error coming from the first node
Hi @Nilkant Napaul. I´d be glad to share the Dynamo graph with you. Please provide me your emial and I will sent it to you. I will be uploading Dynamo videos the following months so if you dont want to miss anything stay tuned clicking the subscribe button and thumbing up! :-)
Hello Juan, I tried to follow your script in dynamo, but it doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Can you share to me dynamo file for this one? Thank you.
Hey man thanks for the tutorial but I am having issues with the script. Once i run it it just spins and spins til I force close dynamo/Revit 😔 why do you think I am having this problem?
That´s weird... have you tried to freeze half of the script nodes and run it and see where it crashes? You are the first person who has that kind of issue and its weird as there is no circular reference in the nodes links.
I think you have not installed python script property... Go to python script location... Right click>> properties>> security>> tick un block checkbox in it...... Run command python in civil 3d it displays a file explorer dialogue box to run python script and now you are good to go.. your script will run properly.
@@DINESHKUMAR-os1jf could you please tell me where is this location? I'm trying to run but it freezes the screen and forces me to close dynamo and revit.
Hello Juan, Thanks for video! I have run the cript, but I cant see object in revit model. When i select "blank" space in model, Revit select generic models of my corridor, but i cant see it.. What could be the problem? (I have turned on all VG categories)
Hello Juan. I tried to follow and recreate your script in dynamo, but it doesn't work for me. Unfortunately it loads indefinitely and does not finish script execution. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. This is a very simple corridor of a few meters long road. For the example in the video how long did you have to wait for the geometry to be imported into revit? Could you send me your script by mail at stefano.colangelo@bluewin.ch? Maybe I did something wrong. Thanks a lot and congratulations for the channel.
Hi @Stefano Colangelo. Just two questions: - Does your computer freeze when you hit the run button? or is it Dynamo trying to run the script the whole time? - Does Dynamo show up some warning alert? It´s quite important to have the same Revit and Civilconnection version installed on your computer. It only took Dynamo to generate the model that I show in the video approx 5 minutes maybe? I have already sent you the Dynamo script. Please check your email inbox and let me know if you are having another kind of issue. Thank you for the compliment. Do not hesitate to subscribe if you want to keep on watching my next videos coming up soon.
@@JMCiller Thanks for the quick response. I tried your script, but I have the exact same problem as mine. I don't get any error warnings from dynamo, but the script runs all the time without ever ending. The installed versions of CivilConnection and Revit are the same (2021). @@JMCiller I found the problem! The python .dll file for Civil3D was locked by the system. Once unlocked, everything worked. Thanks again. Where can I find this script? Also, is there any script to have Civil 3D Pipe Networks exported to Revit, same like you did for corridors?
