Absolutely you stole the words right out of my mouth. This video doesn't just encompass basketball it encompasses the way of life that was in the 90s. Even the way that the video was choreographed is very light-hearted and fun loving. This style of commercial is not made anymore. Times are very dark now and it seems like this time. Was just a dream and now we are waking up into a nightmare. I actually have to be careful about how much I watch any type of video content from the 90s because I get depressed. :(
The genius of Paul Gilbert and thousands and thousands of edit/cuts/screenings/music clearing, and, oh yeah..."Nique, Mailman, MJ, Kemp, Earvin, Larry, and 1000 others
i was lucky enough to spend the 90's in my youth, when i was 12-17.those were the best years of my life.the world was still innocent in many ways, there was still hope.the NBA was 10 times better than now,or at least more spectacular and the players were athletes from colleges and universities instead of thugs from the ghetto.i wouldnt have minded being stuck in the 90's forever
This is the real NBA before globalization. I'm overwhelmed by watching this old video during the fricking pandemic when you and your buddies could go down to the sports bar to enjoy the games, having good beer and watching real games played by real pros. Unlike today's NBA where players - even 7 footers - love you shoot from behind the arc instead of dominating the low post.
@@xmaxfactorx WWE Attitude Era was a the shit man , considered as the best wrestling era. Back in the days you couldn't miss it , you might have heard names such as Stone Cold Steve Austin , The Rock and The Undertaker.
I just recalled one that I used to love and it was one Curtis Mayfields' music "One on one". Another one was with "lean on me" can't find those anymore.
man this is awesome. the 90s was easily the golden age of nba. what you see then vs what you see today is just the evolution of marketing. in the 90s, the nba was awesome, and essentially the nba said "lets make some cool commercials about the nba!".... now, nothing like that exists. there is only "Brand: NBA", and all things are done to better it, rather than the players bettering the league. shame, but it isn't like the nba is unique in this regard. it's a global thing. r.i.p. 90s bball :(
Do you remember there were short clips like this which sometimes a clip of a old lady dancing in the crowd,it always made me laugh, she was a Trail Blazers supported(excuse my English)
I can't find it but there was a really good one with Bruce Hornsby & Th Range's song, "The Old Playground," and it would show kids playing ball on the playground and transition to NBA players.
There was a commercial in this era that used Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet theme with slow motion NBA clips of athletic movement that is one of the most beautiful commercials I’ve ever seen. PLEASE is somebody knows where to find it, please point the way.
i’m trying to find the i love this game nba commercial where they show captions like ‘Elevation’ on Kobe, ‘Creativity’ on Hardaway, and ‘Leadership’ on Jordan. Anyone in youtube has it?
i am trying to hold my tears how these times ran fast.
Ten Ten I just sent this video to a friend, impossible not cry
For sure miss the 90 's NBA

Hell ! yeah it was
yes yes
Amazing! I miss the passion all the players had back then, it wasn't about fame it was all heart and passion golden days that will never return :(
Between the 80's "Fantastic" and 90's "I love This Game", the 2000s and 2010s just lost the great, simple marketing slogans of those times.
Andrew Jones 2000s and 2010s
“This is why we play “
Yeah they lost the plot

Помню ночью трансляции были на втором канале, Гомельский старший комментировал. Все писал на кассету и после школы смотрел.

Notice how it is about the players AND the fans. Both get equal screen time, I feel that has been lost today.
I just recalled one that I used to love and it was one Curtis Mayfields' music "One on one". Another one was with "lean on me" can't find those anymore.
