This documentary is by far, one of the very best, that I've ever seen. How incredibly strong that 1 broken man can be, through God's love & mercy, is truly amazing. Pastors are as fallible as any other human walking the planet, if they weren't, they wouldn't be human. I genuinely appreciate having the opportunity to see this documentary. His pain is real, his efforts were genuine, he has the abilities, even through his mistakes, to be a powerful positive force, in God's name, for this world. His story does not end here and I believe God has great plans for him. Mistakes don't define us, our humanity and spreading God's gospel, does. Thank you to the creators of this documentary, it has reminded and renewed my faith. God bless this world!
This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen, my third time watching it over the years since it was made. The first time I had no idea what I was getting into. Incredibly powerful.
It's amazing how much just a few really good people can do. The world needs more people like this pastor. Great documentary. There is so much suffering in the world. Respect.
Thank you for your comment my friend. You're absolutely right..a few good peo[;e can make a big difference. I had wanted to post this for years but I could not find the DVD original and only had the VHS copy that had deteriorated to the point that it just couldn't be salvaged. I *finally* found the DVD, and posted it within 2 hours! :)
Sad so many small towns & villages are deteriorating or past the point where can be turned around. Happening more with Amazon taking over parts of America & it puts small businesses out of business. We've gotten some similar problems here in England. 👍🏼🇬🇧
He is just a weird man with bad judgment. The gay bombshell at the end made a lot of sense actually. Great doc tho, I was glued to the TV. Thanks Chris! 😁
My god we’re is this pasted at right now does anybody know???? Please this is a amazing family man this is crazy this guy is really for the people man I love this and pray for the pastor family
Missing Persons Cases Network April 20, 2019 · North Dakota Case #7 - Joe Christopher Lee, is from Arizona, but he was last seen in Williston, North Dakota on June 1, 2013. He borrowed a truck from a friend that day and was supposed to return it that evening, but never did. He has never been heard from again. His friend reported Lee and the truck missing the following day. The borrowed truck was later found abandoned on privately owned farmland south of the Epping Springbrook Dam. 200 yards away, next to a creek, were Lee's boots and his socks. An extensive search of the creek and the surrounding area turned up no other sign of him, however. The circumstances of his disappearance are unclear and his case remains unsolved. MPCN believes this *may* have been staged. He could definitely be living off the grid or in another city somewhere in America.
@@ChristopherSaindon Lee left his boots and socks by the creek to stage a drowning which is silly on his part. I'm amazed he has remained hidden this long, usually that means they actually did die.
It doesn't matter to me what anyone thinks in what I'm about to say. Jay came clean about himself, that's more than what most people will admit in a lifetime. I won't judge him that's not my place.
Okay, this is a great film from the pastor's perspective. And the service offered to the overnighters was good for them. BUT I did some research on this whole situation and there are some important things left out. 1. The church congregation did not condone what the pastor was doing. And it wasn't just their own prejudice. Look at the scene where the church council is meeting with someone from their church district. When they had the meeting to vote, they had members voting who somehow disappeared. Well, further research proves, that the pastor admitted they had those folks become members so they can vote and pass the overnighters program. Said he did it so he can do the lord's work. 2. Another thing someone from the church said in an interview after the film came out is that the pastor stopped other local service work like their food pantry for the needy to supply food and supplies for the overnighters. And their food pantry was a major point for the community and hurt when the pastor did what he did. 3a. That guy Keith lied to the pastor. He is a sex offender but was not one of those "older boyfriend with a younger girlfriend" situations. And in 2015 he would go back to his old ways- look up "Keith Graves Bismarck" or follow this link www.grandforksherald.com/newsmd/human-trafficking-suspect-indicted-for-third-time-demands-evidence-from-states-attorneys-office 3b. Here is the thing the pastor did not do that he NEEDED to do. He knew this guy was a registered sex offender and brought him into his home, in a residential neighborhood with kids... do I really need to say what is morally and legally wrong here? 4. Something the documentary did not show is how he was neglecting some of his pastoral obligations for the overnighters. The needs of the members of the congregations. From funerals to sick and shut-in calls to hospitals of members, he was neglecting his ministry and congregation and began to miss Sunday services. The people tithing their money to the congregation. The sexual affair was not the sole reason he left. He was accused of taking funds from members of the congregations and not using them for the congregation itself and making decisions against or without the church council, which is not the way things work. Overall, the pastor was not serving the congregation he was assigned to be the shepherd of. In some regards, he was neglecting it for his own issues. And broke some laws. While what the pastor did was admirable for the men, how he did it is unacceptable.
Some good documentaries been posted by your good self lately. I really prefer a long video to watch, almost like a film. Get lots of NIMBY'S (not in my back garden) when situations like this arise. Man with no teeth & living in his daughters house, and he seemed a very bitter person form that short interaction. I'm not religious, however, if there were more people as kind and caring about people, the world would be a better place. 👍🏼👍🏼🇬🇧

Very heavy documentary. You get all emotions, criticism, approval and viewpoints from all sides. You get parishioners, who claim to be Christians; leaving a church that tried to best exemplify Christianity.Like the pastor said, people whom he tried to help, turned on him; they were not in his position and likely never did a fraction of what he did, to help others. At least he tried. Shocking conclusion.
