@@dirkdigsit Your so welcome man. Great Voice. !! I Used to sing this To my Beautiful Wife Janice all the Time. I Lost Her 2 years ago. She Was Very Sick. I miss her So much man. Maybe Someday I Will Sing This To Her Again.!!!! I Love This Song So Much. Great Job Again my Friend !!!!!!!
I cannot believe I just now stumbled onto this video. What a great cover of this beautiful song. Really love the tasty guitar playing and terrific vocals. Definitely saving this video. Fantastic takent you have there!
One of the best covers of this song I've heard. I was worried he wouldn't hit a few of those notes right, but he did! Tough to duplicate but this guy scored! Sweet!
Yes,you done it again bro! I think you should be the one who gets to fill his shoes! I am from Halifax and listed to April Wine for many years,I have always enjoyed them. I hope they pick you man!
Agreed, was a test run that I ended up submitting. I later submitted an electric version as done on Nature of the Beast. m.ruclips.net/video/MKDouoq3jM0/видео.html
who do you think you are i mean where do you get off? by now you can tell iam being sarcastic and have only good things to say about you this is awsome brother
Well this is good and all but there is certainly no replacing the founder and last remaining original member, lead singer and guitar play Myles Goodwyn . the band dies with him. However they have cycled out a bass players over the years and drummer when Jerry retired but the current lineup looks like the last . They recreated the sound to work with just Myles and long time vet Bryan on guitar . Hopefully they got a few years left they were awesome both shows I saw last year and hopefully will have a proper farewell Canadian tour when the time comes to end.
CanadianRandom, I saw and met them a couple summers ago when they held these auditions via RUclips. Myles was quite gracious and also enjoyed talking with the drummer, very talented guy and tough shoes to fill with Jerry Mercer. Myles is still touring which I think is great, been a fan forever!
Oh right on, when I commented I had no idea they held auditions so I understand the video a lot more now. So Myles was thinking about stepping down but still keeping April Wine going?
CanadianRandom Correct. At the time, he wanted to get off the road and more specifically airports and all to concentrate on April Wine studio work, writing his book (which I have) and doing a blues project, which he has just cut an album for. I also think love from fans all over probably convinced him to keep touring. They were great when I saw them!
dirkdigsit oh right on!! I have the book as well just got it last week about half way though. And yes I saw the first video of the blues project heard it's 10 years in the making and he even plans to tour it. Yeah that's a crazy thought Aprill Wine touring without Myles. He's Deffinitly an underated Canadian Rock legend and I really hope we get a few more years of Aprill wine. Saw them twice last year amazing band.
What is this ? Little confused audition? Did myles die? Too much reverb and or delay on the voice. ** ok i read the info....respect sorry....it was a good performance, im not a fan of effects especially on the voice or accoustic guitar is all....Liked

Looks like Dave Elefson of Megadeth had gone accoustics .lol..anyway, great job man you nailed it....
Haaaaa, I hear other doppelganger comparisons but not Elefson until now. I appreciate the listen, humor and compliment, thank you!
Nice version. Great voice!
Great job. I've been looking for an acoustic version of this song and by far this is the best one. Thanks!
Hey thank you, appreciate the kind words!
Liking the unplugged version. Great job, Dirk.
except the band asked that people play the versions from the records. I dont recall a acoustic version of this tune on any AW record.
Agreed, was a test run that I ended up submitting. I later submitted an electric version as done on Nature of the Beast. m.ruclips.net/video/MKDouoq3jM0/видео.html
You forget glass tiger someday
Nice! Killer version of April Wine Unplugged, this guy has the chops! ;>}=
People keep saying “unplugged”, that guitar is clearly plugged into something

Love the "unplugged" version. April Wine is a staple in my collection. This guy could easily step in for the real thing!
Thanks that's a nice compliment!
