Happy Birthday, Congratulations to you and your accomplishment. Its a blessing to share this time with such an enthusiastic, self reflective, Passioned, Kind hearted, educated person as yourself. I love watching you holding the union flag of classical music and leading the cause. Keep fulfilling your dreams, and make that little girl smile, if she could see you. A Happy Birthday from the chopin institution.
@TiffanyPoon if you are watching this comment, I admire your growth as a pianist and RUclipsr. You are truly one of the most genuinely incredible pianists of the 21st century and have created a great audience for western classical music for all audiences to see. This is such a beautiful video you created here. Keep up the good work :)
I really love this music video! Your achievements are incredible, and I'm genuinely thrilled for all you've accomplished. You're not only an inspiration as a pianist but also as a remarkable human being. Happy birthday, Tiffany! May the future bring you even more remarkable accomplishments. 🎉❤️
It’s music that flows effortlessly between the borders of race, religion, nationality and genders, that is what musicians are to me, these amazing and generous souls that take us along their inner journeys through their love affair with music. Thank you Ms Poon.
I have been following you with great interest for some time, I am a composer pianist, I have been following you since the Chopin competition, I know how it went, for me you are among the best ever. I wish you a good life! 💫
Happy Birthday, Tiffany!🎂 I love this video, especially the footage of you when you were young...it's so cute. It's your birthday and we should be giving you a gift, but I feel like you have given us the best gift. I have to go now, to send my gift to you!
Thanks for sharing these insights of your life. Wistfulness and curiosity is what I hear listening to this. I learned this lovely soulfull piece 50 years ago when I was a kid. I love to play it ever since. It's just plain beautiful.
This was a very nice, artistic juxtaposition of "then and now Tiffany", with good transitions. You're a multi-talent ;-) Thanks for sharing, congrats on new release, and happy birthday! 🎂🎉
The scenes of little Tiffany on the playground is EXACTLY the kinds of scenes that play in my mind whenever I hear Kinderszenen . This is a beautiful video. Congratulations on the album! Very much looking forward to it! 💖
Well done and happy birthday! I’ve seen you and subbed to you for years, and I’m so happy to see you grow! I see more great things for you in the new year and beyond!
Really love how the music video portrays you looking back and reflecting on your childhood memories as an adult, illustrating the whole idea and intent of Schumann’s Kinderszenen. Congratulations on your upcoming album release! ❤😊
Hello, I feel overwhelming positive from this video, there isn’t a single sense of anything but good. I will deem this as one of the evidences that life is not bad by nature. Thank you.
So beautiful, reminds me a lot of my childhood. My father used to took videos of our activities when I was a kid, the recordings were all saved in our computer, but it's now broken and gone. However, the memories will remain forever in my memory of mind
🎂Happy Birthday Tiffany, Congratulations on your single release. Pre ordered the digital album too! The video is simply charming. Should be a very Happy New Year.
This video is so beautifully made! Impossible not to watch this with a smile. And your recording of „Of foreign Lands and People“: the first time I listened to it on Friday, I was immediately won over. And it gets even better and better and better every time I listen to it. So far, the Decca recording by Radu Lupu and the Apex recording by Maria João Pires have been the ones I keep coming back to. They are so wonderful! But your recording has immediately joined them! All the best for 2024, Tiffany!
Happy birthday 😃 And thank for sharing this beautiful music piece with us ! I can play it thanks to you now ! The cutest thing in your video is the part of childhood you still have in you : the swing, your hopping gait in the end of the video... Keep it as long as you can 😉
Tiffany, congratulations! 🥹 I just really like the way you play every piano pieces, actually, it's not 'play', but more of 'feeling' it. Very soft & i really can imagine the journey of this piece that wanted to tell to us. I'm rooting on you, alwayss!! One day, when you make a full album, kindly remember to promote/sell it in Indonesia please.. i'll definitely order it!!! thank youu & good job Tif, sooo proud!! 🥹🥹

A lovely tune which you had to record. I always associate this musical piece with you. It is my favourite from Schumann. Looking forward to the album. Thanks for this gift and Happy New Year😊❤ Happy Birthday too!🎉
Happy Birthday! I'm not equipped to say that you are the best... but imho you are a very very good pianist! Big plus, your personality (at least the online personality we see) is one of the best! Funny, vulnerable, strong, empathic and intelligent! Atta girl!
I'm so happy you are selling the album on a CD. I just don't trust streaming services to be there 10 or 15 years from now, when I want to listen to an album or watch a movie.
Agreed: having a tangible artefact is much more satisfactory. It is much more pleasurable to load a CD into a machine, press play, and listen to the music while studying the accompanying printed material.
Agree. Even here on RUclips there were videos with awesome interpretations / content, and then suddenly they disappeared - were taken down, or the channel closed.
Totally agree, I used that before and then I figure out they change content, songs, entire albums remastered or albums disapearing. I think the best is to buy cd/vinyl for excellent quality and additionnally have it on mp3 or buy it directly from the artist or the label.
I can recollect lots of still photos of years gone by but none with moving pictures. Well done, Tiffany!💿 Mom and dad were there to hold your hand, guiding you through those early insecurities and stumbles on your climb. Though you're now no longer wobbly on your feet, I wonder whose hand guides you in the ongoing stairway of life. The hand of art? The hand of mainstream cultural values? Music/art, world values can surely take you to a taste of short-term, temporal glory as you 'swing' through life's peaks and valleys. But in the bigger picture, grander scheme of eternity, we are all passing through 'foreigners' here on earth, in need of a solid foundation of truth to stand upon. Seek that highest truth from the supreme creator of all music, all art, all nature, among all the stars, in all the universe-- the God of the Bible. Yes by all means, keep striving and using your God given gifts and musical talents, but reach for the hand of the Lord Jesus Christ for divine guidance to eternal fulfillment and glory.🕊✌

@@TiffanyPoonpianist On the surface, "Of Foreign Lands and People" feels like a longing and reflection of a past childhood and visions of it are shown in the video. Yet I feel the true passive meaning lies more in the title's antithesis and in a perpetuity that is subtly conveyed through the music: a simple tune with simple resolutions, cycling; a timeless state. Perhaps Tiffany finds comfort with her roots, both through the familiar essence of nature and her native culture, but she's also grounded elsewhere: able to extend the roots wherever she goes.
