Great work on putting this video together, I enjoyed following your journey. You have impressed me since you were a kid and you still impress me with all you do!
I really appreciate your video, I want to do a bunch of the trails in a smaller sailboat and I’m gonna be sailing in Blue Hill bay in late August. it would appear that if the weather is fair, I could do a lot of these crossings.
Thanks! Works well. For fresh water I have 3 gallons capacity. Two plastic gallon jugs stowed directly behind me in the cockpit, and one gallon bag stowed on deck for drinking during the day.
😅I think I’m your 1st like 😊 and what a nice wee film.. I also love kayak solo camping… well 95% of my kayaking is solo and here in Ireland on the river Shannon is amazing. Ps how did you get the music rights to your film?? Thanks
I will check your videos out! I would love a trip to Ireland to go sea kayaking! Or anywhere in Northern Europe. Answer to your question: All the music in my video was automatically scanned by RUclips for Copyright pre upload and there were no copyright restrictions found. RUclips actually included links in the description for each song for me, and I added the credits.
@@MadYakker your always welcome as any good kayaker is on one of my river shannon adventures! Up north here such of Lough key is beautiful! I’ve a film or 4 up there! Lots of reels too. Sunsets are amazing this far up north! Ah that’s good to know about RUclips as every day a school day!
It’s the Maine Island Trail Association guidebook. It comes with a MITA membership (around $50). I drew the routes in myself, but it has good maps and information.
I love your content! Can you please share what kayak you are using. I think i want one. Curently in a Tsunami 125 with no skeg or rudder. 🫤 Ready for an upgrade. Thanks.
@@garyzapel4022 I know you’ve already found out it’s a Tsunami 175. But just so it doesn’t seem that I ignored your comment… I think she was perfect for my needs. The 175 has enormous cargo capacity for all needed gear/ provisions, is reliable and seaworthy when Solo paddling, and I’m not afraid to scratch up the plastic hull as I would be with a fiberglass boat. Cons would be that she is heavy to carry, and less maneuverable, especially when fully loaded.
@ I have never unintentionally capsized on any of my trips. But I have practiced rolling / self rescue in a lake, using water jugs as test weight. Thanks! I’m a career merchant mariner so that’s where some of the expertise comes from.
Cool vid. The music absolutely rocked! Tks!
Glad you liked it! Names of all the songs / artists are included in description. 😎
It was cool meeting you in the water at Sand Beach. Thanks for the tip about the Beehive mountain. 👍

Nate! No way you actually remember to look me up! And thank you for swimming out to chat🤝
Enjoyed this video! Nice work. Great trip. As a former runner / endurance athlete, I like the fact you added a running element to your kayaking video.
Thanks! Kayaking is a great endurance sport in itself, but it can’t be too healthy sitting all day long. Plus it’s a great way to explore quickly😂
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! ✌️
Thanks for watching!

Thank you Mrs. Fryar! I’ll try to keep it up.

Cool man, I’ll probably be on a new trip late August early September. Going from Portland east passing blue hill at some point. See you out there!
Cool info on using partial salt water in food (boiled first). What did you do for fresh water?
Great trip.

Great Kayak. Have you ever capsized in the Tsunami 175? Your nautical expertise and survival skills are impressive.
