I mean yes but in real life even elective monarchies are for life, It honestly is really weird that they call her a queen when she is basically a president.
@@gokbay3057 Not necessarly.
Think of the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, in teory, he should hold, according to his title, as much power in his realm as an Roman Emperor of the golden age of Rome. In practice, though, he barely had real control of a fraction of the HRE, the rest being virtualy independent, but the title of Emperor still granted him lots pf prestige outside of german lands.
On the other side of the spectrun, think of modern day presidents , like in Venezuela or Russia, who can stay in power for virtualy their lives and still pretend democracy.
A title is a title in the end, and is hollow just by itself. How much power a person holding such title has, how much time they can hold such power, has to do with the laws of the land, not the name people call the person in charge.
The title could have been Bogaleedoop, and nothing would have changed except the title.

One thing, Vader's burns, while they were addressed, were addressed improperly, as punishment for failing on Mustafar and to weaken Vader to lower the chances of Palpatine being overthrown by him. Interesting little tidbit, this actually ending up backfiring, as the pain and irritation ended up making Vader stronger.
although palpatine couldve choose more advanced cybernetics for vaders suit he actually intentionally made vaders suit hurt him so he would become more powerful in the force especially since the constant irritation from the suit made him constatly think about his failure on mustafar

@Simon Mann ikr?!? Those uncultured swines.
Luis Hernandez lll yess I know it makes the video so much more fun to watch
Facts like forgetting that windus lightsaber form is an anti-dark side weapon.
This Video was actually the One were I pretty much dropped Cinemasins entirely. Like a good third of the "Sins" had absolutely nothing to do with the Movie and like half of the ones who did were just Jeremy demonstrating he clearly doesn't know shit about Star Wars OR were easily explained by the Movie itself and he just ignored that.
Never realised how similar the end of the fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin was to the one with Obi-Wan and Maul. In the one with Maul, Obi-Wan jumps, flips over him and makes the final blow. In the one with Anakin the positions are reversed with Obi-Wan with the high ground. And like you said, Obi-Wan doesn't make mistakes like that. Maybe he learned not to be overconfident from his fight with Maul because he's seen and DONE what Anakin tried but failed to do.
Additionally overconfidence comes from the very kind of emotions that Jedi are taught to control.
Obi-Wan is a seriously adaptive Jedi. It's clear from the fight with Anakin and the rematch with Maul in Rebels that he retains all the mistakes and knowledge from his duels over his career as a Jedi, and is always ready to use it to beat some ass.
@@bummfacef1828 That's why he uses the 3rd form of lightsaber combat. It's a defensive form that uses your opponents momentum against them to protect yourself until you can make an opening to attack them
Yeah, I read somewhere that obi wan uses his opponents pride against themselves. Like he’s obviously told anj about his move against maul, and so in that position saying it’s over I have the high ground, he knew anakin would want to try his own move against him, so he knows how to defend it and win. The high ground meant nothing except as a mental prohibitor. And obi wan does the same thing with maul in rebels when he uses qui gons stance
@@matthewfierro1603 Yes. According to the script of the movie, as I do not really think it was portrayed very obviously, Anakin is the better fighter of the two, so should the battle go on as a "fair fight" he would be the one to win.
But Obi Wan knows Anakin very well, and correctly assumed he can win by baiting him. By wanting prove that he is superior to his opponent Anakin lost a fight that he would have won if he stuck true to his Jedi training and controlled his emotions
Jeremy doesn't seem to realize that the Jedi Masters aren't just badass warriors. They're basically the priests and teachers of the Light Side of the Force. So when people claim that Yoda is the greatest Jedi Master, they're not talking about his light saber skills, they're talking about how in-tune with The Force he is. If it were raw fighting skills, of course Mace Windu is superior but in over all Force sensitivity, Yoda trumps.

@@Th3Birdman and that is respectable. Hell, even as a religious person myself I make those jokes because honestly, some can be ridiculous. That being said, I would take care not to alienate people with absolutist statements.
Also, Sith ftw. Through victory my chains are broken.
It's not really an absolutist statement though. It's also quite innocuous, although I can see why, in the context of a comedy video, people would take offense to it.
Religious people believe in things in spite of contradictory evidence, _that is the textbook definition of faith:_

Th3Birdman. To further elaborate on your point of windu being the best at duels. Windu practiced a normally forbidden art of fighting which harnessed the opponents dark side connection to the force. Ultimately gaining UNLIMITED POWAHHHHH
Maybe Palpatine should have indoctrinated Windu
@@loganmatthews5956 still Anakins max potential was 2x Palpatine so he was the better pick
pshyco slayer he could’ve turned him to the dark side, maybe (if he wasn’t Mace friggin’ LL Windu), but he probably wouldn’t have survived that, since he is experimented and wouldn’t have let Palpatine control him in the same manner as Vador.
It's a bit more complex than that. Mace Windu knows that he has a weakness to the dark side because of how much he likes to fight. So he made a created a new fighting style that used the dark side in conjunction with the light to channel the dark side force. No one else is able to use it because they all succumb to the dark side. He freely allows the dark side to flow through him into his fighting style. Because of this, he is able to redirect the dark side coming from any sith and use it for himself. Mace also has rare force power called shatter point. He is able to use the force to see exactly where a weakness is like cracks in glass. With these two abilities he is unbeatable by any dark side user. It was confirmed that Mace really did beat Sidious, and not just playing dead.
Ace Thomas I thought he harnessed HIS inner dark side.

How dare he say the duel on Mustafar was a let down. Best duel in star wars ever. Period.
10:48 Can I add my two cents?
I think the reason in canon why they just stood there was because when Palpatine does his 920° flip, he lets out a Force scream or something like that that disoriented the Masters present. Their Force senses were basically clouded and Palpatine was able to easily kill three of the Masters swiftly, whilst Windu had something to help him resist it. I can back this up by saying one of the Masters starts moving to counter as he is stabbed, but he was too slow.
Omg I literally woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, saw the editing post and now we're here ._.

If that's wrong, I'm sorry but I wouldn't know any better. Again...as I indicated. Either way, it's definitely not racist to get a single word - with literally only one letter difference - confused between two languages I don't speak myself and only know prelipherally, especially as you yourself admit they have some similarities. At the very worst it's ignorance, which I readily admit to. There is, however, definitely no judgement on either country or the peoples regardless and I can't imagine why anyone would try and stretch a language mistake to be somehow analogous to the cultural hatred of either group.
Regardless, the close enough was clearly tongue in cheek as, while I agree I was wrong, I didn't think a one-letter mistake merited complete dismissal of the point I orignally made and I jokingly indicated such, hence the wink emoji. "I'm going to ignore that ridiculous pronunciation of 'possibly'..."
Just wanted to mention that, in case anyone here doesn't get the reference, it's from an episode of The Simpsons, _Itchy & Scratchy Land,_ spoken by the helicopter pilot who's taking the family to the island that the theme park is on in a moment of irony and foreshadowing.
So, I'd say that this is a missed opportunity to say "Jeremy makes a pop culture reference."
There's also the fact that I don't find that specific reference fitting here, since, as Birdman mentioned, Obi-Wan wasn't taking Padme to Mustafar, SHE was taking HIM there, because it was the only way he was going to find Anakin.
8:45 Also, the cry of the Varactyl (I think Bogi was the name for the specific one Obi-Wan rode in the film) was used later for the cry of Palkia in the Pokemon anime. if I remember right, combat-focus Jedi class got blue crystal for lightsaber while force-focused Jedi class got green one (of course you can change crystals later in this game anyways, regardless of class).
3 years! Its been 3 years and I've been trying to find something that proves fuel exists in star wars since episode 8 came out. I just believed everyone like a simp. But, Obi-Wan actually asked for fuel when he was hunting for grievous. Finally! My life is complete. I can die happy now.
Thank you for this, RotS is one of my favourite movies of all time and I hate all the blind hate it gets.
Marauder Shields yeah it seems to be a running theme in the Star Wars community unfortunately. Much to my frustration.
General Grievous is my favorite star wars character. Thank you for taking the time to tell a touch of Qymaen Jai Sheelal's story when Cinemasins called him a robot.
Birdman: Its over Jeremy i have the high ground.
Jeremy: You underestimate my sins.
Birdman: Dont try it
Jeremy: *Sins something stupid*
Intro: I love cinemasins
Not even 2 mins in: I'll do what I must.
I personally like the theory that Vader literally killed Padme with the force. Not strangling her or whatever, but that while dying he literally reached out with the force and stole her life force to keep himself alive. You can hear his heartbeat stop on that suiting up scene after all.
It is pretty much the exact opposite of the Plagius power, and what he would have wanted. I find that thematic.
2:40 Also, his species are called 'Kaleesh' who look kinda intimidating even as non-cyborg
My problem with general grievous in this movie is the fact that he was animated with Anakins lightsaber and 2 Obi Wan lightsabers and what appears to be plo koons lightsaber. The problem is that no two lightsaber are the same. That's a cinema sin.
Also the fact that the office window of the President of the entire galaxy is that fragile is laughable. Theres no way that sheev hasnt been killed in a drive-by already.
That window was hit by two lightsabers in a heated duel by two of the most powerful force users in the galaxy. Nothing could take a blow like that.
Firs of all the window was hit by the two lightsabers of Mace Windu And Sheev Palpatine, and second of all, nobody wants to drive by him, because the seperatists KNOW he is Darth Sidious.
How have I not found this channel sooner?!? This is great stuff.
I agree a trillion percent of everything in this video especially the duel on mustafar thing
It is absolutely *glorious* to see someone who knows Star Wars lore, particularly pre-Disney EU lore!
Favorite sins: 1) Well, for one, THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YODA SAID 2) No, no, no, you’re not about to sin one of the most badass scenes in Star Wars 3) Because it’s the truth?...
'Greevis Is Rebet'
What robot has lizard eyes. Organic looking lizard eyes.
Greevis obvs
Also, Jeremy managed to totally miss the point of Grievous using the four sabers and bragging about having been taught the "jedi arts". Obi-wan was a well known and skilled duelist, and Grievous was over-compensating by having more light-sabers and talking up his training. Sure, Grievous was good enough to kill the odd Jedi to get those sabers, but he wasn't a match for a Master like Obi-wan and he knew it
Revenge of the sith is a perfect movie. Every milisecond of it. Thats why i love you for taking shots at cinema sin
Palpatine: "You shall be known as Darth.... Vader...."
CinemaSins: "I don't know why that name popped into my head, especially since everybody else has not-so-subtle "Darth" names like Maul, Sidious and Plagueis, but I'm not married to it. Let's see what happens."
Me: Maul, In-Sidious, Plague-is, In-Vader. They are word plays on bad things. They are not just random names.
Darth Tyrannus, as in “tyrant” too. And they’re all part of the religious “Order of Bane”, named for Darth Bane, the Dark Lord of the Sith who began the Rule of Two, which culminated in Vader and Sideous.
At 3:15 I think Jeremy was saying that qui-gon would’ve tired maul which would’ve made him an easier opponent to defeat btw it’s still total bullshit considering how maul could’ve drawn energy from the force
And extra bullshit considering Maul still bested Obi-Wan, had Maul not become arrogant, Obi-Wan would have been dead right then and there.
I've been waiting for this one and God bless did you deliver 🤣
I have legit found my new favorite RUclips channel
