Learnt from just watching the videos. Aaron and kristina are very good instructors . Both are very fit and good looking. Unfortunate that trolls prefer to make nasty personal comments. Even more unfortunate that they are no longer in New York.
I'm watching this as a 33 year old lonely male, just because I hope to overcome the fear to dance on the next wedding I attend. Women always ask me but I have to decline because I'm too fearful of dancing in public and also because I'm actually so lonely that it hurts to be physically close to someone. I just can camouflage my loneliness well.
I don't usually reply to youtube comments, but 1) proud of you for facing your fears head on and 2) in my own experience, I used to *hate* parties because I always felt awkward. Started doing dance and I'm way more confident and I love going out now-- even if you mess up, just keep moving and you'll have a great time! Look for social dance clubs in your area too! It's a bit scary at first because some people are quite good but everyone is always super patient and welcoming and it'll really help you put yourself out there :) Good luck!
Okay but you shouldn’t be ashamed of that at all. What I just heard is that you are taking steps to learn a new skill, overcome fears, better your life and have fun. That sir, is time well spent! And as a 28 year old girl, the chicks’ll dig it! ;)
I was in a similar boat myself. As a kid, I was always fearful of dancing in front of people at all, let alone in public. But what made it even worse was when my friends and classmates at daycare would play music in the classroom and start dancing to it. It's not that I was against them doing this, but they'd even try to force me to join in even after I told them no several times and they wouldn't leave me alone. Even the teachers would do the exact same thing sometimes instead of telling the other kids that they need to leave me alone. However, I did eventually overcome this fear by starting out with dancing at home and then dancing in public when I'm ready, so I'd definitely recommend doing that because it is worth it. Once I started dancing in public, not only was it not embarrassing like I expected, but I found a new hobby I enjoyed.
Hello there, you nice dancers. 😊 You are stunning! I'm a dancer who finnished dancing too early. That's a story... but! When I watch your videos, I'd love to dance again! ❤
Excellent jive tutorial and both great dancers. I always regret not learning these steps when I was younger back in the 50s and 60s. Thank You so much for a great video. Barrie Owen UK.
I know this by heart because when I was younger my mom would play ballroom music because she liked it and she would make me and my brother do it with her
Please make a video comparing contrasting this step with the Jive step. They look essentially the same. I know the dances vary in the style of how one moves the body etc but it’s very similar and basically the same count.
I'm taking dancing lessons as well, but we call that the Jive xD (I don't know if it's the right spelling. I also don't know if it's called the Jive worldwide, because I'm from Germany lol)
By the way you’re both beautiful and I donor stand why people making comments about your neck I don’t understand it you look beautiful and your feet and people need to stick to the dance steps be kind
tubelev This is how I frequently see our newcomers do swing, which is the first dance my team teaches. We actually tell kids when we start teaching them jive to do the "newcomer rockstop"
That is a ball room jive did that 45 year's ago bronze Medal pas The swing as you call is what they from the 40 They call it Rock&roll We call the swing in 1954 Up to 65 bopping You did your own individual Steps an style You gran &grandad could show you a thing or too
I’m no expert but from what I learned the way you’re stepping is different then a swing basic, also the angle of the foot definitely showing and hers seems angled behind her foot when you say you’re stepping back her foot should be forward and stepping behind her not angled like Latin dancing. She probably can’t help it because she is trained probably very well as all kinds of dancing and those are like Latin dancing shoes 👠
you have to get used to walking/standing/etc first when you wear heels, after a while they stop hurting as bad and you can stay in them for a longer time. dancing in heels is no different, you have to get used to it, usually if you're a dancer its easier to for you to adjust because you're already constantly straining your feet and testing your abilities.
This is not swing basics these are jive basics swing basics are completely different for the ladies they step back on their right foot and than bring their right foot to the side and rock their hips from side to side and repeat I have being doing ballroom dancing for over 2 and a half years so I know the different between a jive and a swing and this dance they are showing is the jive not the swing trust me!!!
Well I am Australian and I live in Australia and I go to marshere studios in Ringwood marshere is a franchise so there are quite a few around Victoria and at all the marsheres that is called the jive not the swing the swing is a completely different dance it may be because I am Australian or it may be marshere itself they may teach swing completely different to everywhere else I don't know but all I know the so called east coast swing is auctully the jive at my dance studio cause that is what my dance teachers taught me and the swing is completely different!!!
It's supposed to be fast if you're doing swing, slower would level this to normal ballroom damce, not swing ballroom dance. I suggest other videos, unless this is what you're interested in.

I’ve been doing dancing classrooms in my school which is ballroom dancing and of my favorite dances is the swing and the tango

Desmodus Draculae ikr how
V necks and good posture on a man elongates the neck, opposed to a crew neck t shirt. He also has even skin toning, which may be a factor.
ok wait how do i turn around again
Quasi Cinderella's shoes are two sizes smaller than her feet
this is the jive..
how does one dance in heels. I think it hurts just standing, so moving so much for that long must hurt bad.
you have to get used to walking/standing/etc first when you wear heels, after a while they stop hurting as bad and you can stay in them for a longer time. dancing in heels is no different, you have to get used to it, usually if you're a dancer its easier to for you to adjust because you're already constantly straining your feet and testing your abilities.

The great thing is that those pants don't let you see his foot or ankles. They're stupidly distracting....
No
L
WTF i need to learn swing not jive
I hate seeing girls wearing shoes where their big toe hangs over it. They are too small!!!
too fast, slow it down
It's supposed to be fast if you're doing swing, slower would level this to normal ballroom damce, not swing ballroom dance. I suggest other videos, unless this is what you're interested in.
This is nothing like the swing ballroom dance! 😑
This is not the swing
Ballroom has NO soul. Stiff and awkward.
Huh, I thought this was how to basic. I’m disappointed.
