So, Devil In My Soul had a "disruptive" passion. Breaking Me Down and Heart Ablaze had a "determined" passion. Let It All Burn had a "jaded" passion. On My Own had a "resentful" passion. The Enemy had a "pleading" passion. Long Road Home had an "endure it" passion. I think the passion for this track is a "desperate " one.
The '97 anime is fantastic, especially with the soundtrack that goes with it. It's something special that I've never seen anything have quite the same vibe of. The Golden Age Arc movie trilogy is good, but it mostly re-tells the golden age arc, which is what the '97 anime covers. Avoid the 2016 anime until after you've caught up with the Manga and are just desperate for absolutely any Berserk content.
My husband actually told me about the anime. The mask part makes a lot more sense once you find out the ending. Don't want to spoil it but if you read the manga it makes so much sense. Fabvl really put all this together so well. In all honesty the lyrics can be made to be in real life or be perfectly made to fit guts. Also fabvl talked about how he uses a lot of his core strength instead of his vocals. Which I get. I took three years of choir and they taught us to do the same to not damage our vocals when we had to fill a whole large room full of ppl in it. I loved your reaction if was phenomenal!
Something that I keep getting from this song is that, the instrumental really seems to follow Fabvl’s voice this time around. The fact that it’s so minimal, even when it all goes full force, and has this very…almost spacey kind of quality, like it’s there but also not, it really makes us, as the listener, focus on Fabvl’s voice, what he’s saying. The instrumental being composed in the way it is, in a weird twist of things, makes Fabvl’s voice the driving force of the song, leaving all the emotion just laid bare for the listener to try and process. Am I reaching with some of this? Potentially. But that is definitely the vibe I’ve gotten from this one.
The Song Speaks On it's own So Much.. that It just impacts straight on the Emotions.. It perfectly captures the Theme of Berserk, the State of Mind of Guts.. Fabvl Has given the Best gift to Berserk Fans he or any rapper Possibly could have given.. Just Sad yet so Beautiful!
Fr Berserk will definitely make you feel this pain at times like this song definitely embodies a feeling you’ll get from reading it. But it’s an amazing manga so definitely read it, honestly I’d describe it as life changing for me.
I know nothing about the manga but I have really liked this song for a while now. Going through the worst heartbreak right now and I have to say I feel every single lyric.
I'll make this short. The song, absolutely incredible. From the lyrics to the mixing to the performance. Everything was phenomenal. As for Berserk, I recommend reading the manga, however, if you do watch the anime I highly recommend watching the original 1990's Berserk, the third movie, and then the new 2016 CGI animated Berserk. That will fill you in completely as well as keep you in chronological order.
@@heyyou8714 right? just like i mentioned above. Heck, even the og anime wich is acceptable doesnt even get close to the manga's greatness. Watching berserk is a waste of time. Just read it and you're set.
I’ll give a really shitty summary of beserk: Guts was born from the corpse of his mother. After killing his foster father in self defense. He found the band of the hawk. Then Griffith (the guy in the video) betrayed them and killed them all (among other things.) Guys lost his eye and arm. He was also branded by Griffith so that demons always chase him. Fabvl said “branded by the demons that I’m faced with”. This song encapsulates Guts so well. By the way don’t take my summary for granted go watch the show you’ll understand better
7:46 this is a LOT like Cross My Heart in terms of rhyme scheme Blue heat when you see me Scarred deep from my past Yeah, I make it look easy But I'll make sure it lasts They all wanna defeat me Come and take off your mask Feel my anger increasing Think I'll turn you to ash
If you do watch this anime berserk is dark I've yet to see any anime character with a more tragic backstory but you have to look at the back story to the manga
To Summarize, [HUGE spoiler] . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Griffith "White haired Boy-toy Knight" Looses a duel wich means Guts can leave his mercenary party, he breaks down mentally and goes to fu** the Daughter of the king, Servant sees em, he gets captured and tortured for a year, goes Full demon, sacrifices all his old friends to achieve his "new form" Ra*es Gut's New girlfriend Infront of him breaking her mentally until shes nothing but a husk of her past self, basically terrified to even get close to Guts, Guts gets pissed off. haven't seen anything beyond that point. Cheers! and remember lads, Berserk is a happy story at heart, too bad it got schewed up and spit out as paste.
Berserk breaks the mold... it does so by luring you into a false sense of security for the protaganist.. yes he goes through some shit all the way up till the eclipse... then your world gets ripped apart, turned inside out, bathed in acid and then set on fire, just have the manga keep up that pace from that point forwards. Brutal isn't the right word.. infact i don't think their is a world in the language of humans that comes close. That is why Berserk is the Lord of the Rings of manga... hands down.. goated all day, all month, all year and beyond. People hundreds of years from now will be studying this manga and this masterpiece of a song that somehow takes every ounce of the trauma and tragedy and rage and sorrow and throws it into music.
Great reaction! The 1997 anime isnt an ideal adaptation. Its really good, but since it tries to adapt the Golden Age in 25 episodes some things get removed and some of them hurt the story. Also the repeated animation and still images can be a problem to someone especially if you're not a fan of older animation. I would recommend you read the manga first since there are no such issues with it and then watch the 97 anime if you want. There is a movie trilogy from 2013 but i would only recommend if you REALLY want to see more berserk content and you want to see berserk in modern animation. And please dont ever watch the 2016/17 anime, its a disservice to the manga in every aspect.
Read** the animes are complete trash while the manga is a masterpiece I don't even blame the studios who tried to adapt berserk.. some mangas just can't be adapted into anime
So,
Devil In My Soul had a "disruptive" passion.
This sing hit me like a runaway train! You can tell that this song is EXTREMELY personal to Fabvl. He put his entire heart and soul into this track
I recommend going straight to the manga for the best Berserk experience.
Fabvl was a marine so this song was full of the agony and scars of war
You should read the manga, Fabvl is a big berserk manga fan too. The manga is 100 times better than the anime
At least the Golden Age Arcs are better than the anime itself in comparison. Basically, the anime's trash, but the movies are pretty good.

Well now I'm genuinely curious what the mask is about because I don't know where to find the manga so I can read it
Pain. Agony even. Suffering if you will.
Torturous one might say

This song is just full of hatred, pain, and rage. This is my kind of song. This is my Soul Song.
I know nothing about the manga but I have really liked this song for a while now. Going through the worst heartbreak right now and I have to say I feel every single lyric.
"Betrayal of some sort" oh boy 👀

truth is, you shouldnt watch berserk. you should read it
No. Do not watch 2016. Compared to the manga 2016 is a spit in the face. Do not rob yourself of that manga experience.
@@heyyou8714 right? just like i mentioned above. Heck, even the og anime wich is acceptable doesnt even get close to the manga's greatness. Watching berserk is a waste of time. Just read it and you're set.
6:05 you just got what the story of berserk and the actual manga
You hit the nail on the head at 6:05 man right smack dab in the middle

Every single anime adaptation never managed to do justice for the Berserk manga.
However, the ost’s are bangers.
You should reeeeeeally listen to berserk: forces. It’s part of the old anime soundtrack and it fucking SLAPS
If you know Guts, this song hurts waaaay worse

Hello
HELLO FRIEND
Read** the animes are complete trash while the manga is a masterpiece
I don't even blame the studios who tried to adapt berserk.. some mangas just can't be adapted into anime
Watch the three movies of berserk first then the animal cuz the movies are like how it happened the beginning the anime is after everything happened
Watch the old Anime first not the movies or modern anime.
do yourself a favor and READ the manga.
No not watch the anime. It’s a hackjob adaptation of only one arc and it suuuuucks.
The manga really is the only way to experience the story.
