Ash Glaze on the Barbie Part Two

Here is part 2 of the latest ash glaze experiments. The cups used to glaze were made from com 6 slip and the ash glaze fired to cone 6. When I hace cups made from cone 10 slip I will see how the ash glaze looks fired to cone 10. If there is a noticable difference I will make a short video. Thanks for watching!
Ash glaze was made from 15 oz. clay and 15 oz. brisquet ash
I added 5 oz. silica and 4 oz. feldspar to each jar.
Color was added at 1 tablespoon per 10 oz container.
Glaze was fired to cone 6

what if i add pit fire ash to ready made glazes 06 or 6?

I'm sure the ash would add a dimension, say texture to the glaze.

Can the ash glaze be fired at 1100C max? Did you try it on that low temperature? :)

I have only fired my ash glaze to cone 5 (about 1186 C). Depending on what you put in your glaze, it just might work. I know you will get something, but sometimes it's glossy and sometimes not....depends on make up. Let me know what you get!
