So if in theory, could I use a Google Voice number to verify another Google Voice number? I'm trying to get three numbers: one business, one spam, and then try to port my home phone (possible by porting it to a prepaid cellphone and then porting it to Voice). Obviously if I can use a number only once to verify, that's not going to work well, particularly with moving the home phone. Or actually, could you get another prepaid number temporarily for verification and then move everything to one number?

Google won't let you use a Google number to verify, just tried it. Very annoying cos I'm making it for work and the verify by phone for landline isn't working for my desk phone at the office.

@@DocHelliday Dang, okay. Maybe a cheap prepaid number then just for verification? Since that's already a workaround for porting. I suppose it depends on how strict they are with what number is tied to the account. I know it's probably to stop spam call centers from abusing the privilege

@@KingdomLaz It's super simple. When you open the Google Voice app, the upper right corner shows you which profile you are in. Simply click the circle and select the other Google account you used for Google Voice. It keeps voicemails, messages and call logs separate for each account. (:

It may work - you would need 3 Google accounts and different phone numbers to attach to it on setup Google does offer business accounts if you are needing multiple lines for business purposes. It's not free but it is typically a tax deduction! Let us know if you are successfully able to set it up...
