I'm a Condor man. Unfortunately the flake is no longer produced, but you can get the Condor plug in Fox's. The plug is a bit more earthy. For me the topping is alcohol molasses, maybe brandy? It's great in a Falcon! Great review 👏

I love Condor! It's impossible to get on this side of the pond. Thankfully I have friends in the UK that will trade for it. 😊 For me, it is rich, robust, meaty and demands respect; what a baccy!

A friend of mine from England sent me some condor but I’ve been putting off smoking it for some reason. After your review, I think I’m going to have a bowl!
You should definitely load a bowl and give it a try. It’s a very flavourful blend, just sip it!
Condor is my favourite I always give it some drying time before I smoke it about half hour should be good 👍 😅
@JamesDollan-v8c yes it's a great blend, much loved by many & sadly hated by many too! I think they need to smoke it correctly, which is sipped and cool. Allowing it to dry out a little will make it easier to first light for sure.

I'd like to try Condor but can't get it here. I do wonder if the Nic fit night be too much for me. I'm not a daily piper. I enjoy St. Bruno however which I think is perhaps not quite as strong in the nic department. BTW, I was able to get a hold of a few tins of Barbados Plantation that you really enjoyed so I'm looking forward to trying that for sure.
It does have a good nic hit but is easily manageable when taken slowly. I didn’t find it strong though. I hope you enjoy the Sitkiff Barbados Plantation, I liked it for sure. Thank you for your comment!
I don't know if we have Condor available in the US. Since you have had two bad experiences with Samuel Gawith, I would be interested to get your take on Gawith Hoggarth's Ennerdale if you have it available. I have not tried it, but I have heard some people say good things about it.

I am a Condor ready rubber fan been smoking it for 5 years having smoked mellow Virginia for 35 years there's no comparison with any other pipe tobbaco

would you recommend this to someone about to try a pipe?
@canalboating it's the way many pipe smokers started for sure, but it may be better to start with something like Erinmore MIxture, which isn't quite so heavy or Benson & Hedges Special Virginia. Or you could just jump in the deep end lol. Just take it slow, sip it and don't let it get hot.
