Hi there, when I enter 192.168.1.1 & it says to enter username & password too. But it also says "your connection to this site is not private" and even though when I enter username & password as admin in both boxes, the same authentication dialogue box reopens & it keeps reopening every time I try to login. Why it says that your connection to this site is not private?
192.168.1.1 is not working. Tried all suggested options. getting this message;"the requested URL '/cgi-bin/webproc' was not found on this server". Suggest some way out to adress the issue.
I think it is due to ROM error, Bcz our modems are getting older.. In my case sometime i can open it.. but i need to type :13404 or something else after 192.168.1.1.
Goto This PC/My Computer.. In the navigation pane there is Network. Open it.. If ur lucky u can see the network infrastructure which is ur modem.. Right click and and open the webpage. If it aint there check next time u restart both ur modem and pc.. I'm getting that occasionally one or two times a day..

i will give an advice....open cmd....type ipconfig...then enter.....the default gateway written is your router page.....cheap or low level routers keep changing their default gateway....but by this method you can now know what that 192.168.1.1 has changed into....you might not be able to stop that changing phenomenon(unless you buy a expensive router that somehow manages to never change the gateway)....but you can know the router url....and yeah by this method no need to reset the router everytime....

I have found through first hand experience and through absolutely no online help/forum of any kind...that the issue lies in the security certificates. Or at least that is the screen I eventually need to navigate to on firefox. I have to unplug the ethernet wire from my pc...try to connect to the default gateway...plug the ethernet wire back in...try again to connect to the router...then firefox gives me a different screen than before. It tells me it automatically blocked me to protect my pc. I then have to manually accept and install the certificate...afterwards it works fine. I don't know any other way to get to that screen...but that is your issue 99% of the time. Your certificate time ran out and the fkr didn't renew.

Don't need to reset router . Just change SSID and wifi security type and try again . Check for Wireless LAN drivers in laptop whether installed properly or not.

If 192.168.1.1 doesnt work, try find your router IP address for login using web browser, just visit routerslogin.com You dont need type ipconfig or other commands to find out what is your router IP address.

Sir, if you forget router's username/password then you have to reset it to factory default to login again.All settings will be lost. For internet to work again you must know internet userid/password and configuration for your router .
If you forget router username/password the only solution is reset router to factory default and reconfigure it. But reset only if you know how to configure it .

1. Fill IP address in Lan/Wlan.
2. Temporary Disable antivires .
