In a situation as embarrassing, frustration, and rage enduring as a dry fire, MFJJ did an absolutely amazing job at immediately jumping into action. “This is why you don’t talk during someone’s shot. Let someone else shoot and I’ll take a look at it”. He took a little responsibility, and offered his assistance. Incredibly professional, and honorable.

Stop running your mouth when someone is shooting. It’s flicking rude. Who wants to hear your stupid story right then? NO ONE! Most archers don’t have the ability to lock out what’s going on around them and totally focus on the shot. Keep being rude at an ASA tournament and you will be removed.

Goof Balls, If shooting at 8,000 foot elevation makes your arrows fly higher that is do to the thinner air and less forces of drag on your arrow. So your speed over the ground went up. Same as the affect on Airplanes. Gravity stays constant. More TAC videos please!

Looks like everyone had a great time. We also had a few mistakes at 7 Springs TAC. We had a dry fire a derailed bow and a limb split. But other then that is was a blast. Heading out west in July to shoot at Solitude TAC on Sunday. TAC is definitely a experience all archers should do.

21:22 Dan, I noticed your rangefinder hanging out from your bino harness. After you feed the rangefinder pouch strap through the bino strap, tuck the vertical rangefinder strap under the horizontal strap on the rangefinder pouch before snapping it together and it will hold it upright. Marsupial has a video on how to do it that explains it much better than I can. Love your videos as they have taught me a ton!

First I want to say I appreciate the content you guys put out and how you try to get more people into the sport! The only thing I want to critique is that while yes the gravity is minutely different, I believe what is most effecting the arrow flight is the decrease in barometric pressure (which is directly related to gravity). But air tends to be influenced far more than we are, thats why you have much less dense air at that elevation while you still relatively weigh the same

It's not the gravity that affects the arrow flight. It's air density. Relative density changes depending on altitude, temperature, humidity and a couple other factors. So down here at 1500' in Arizona on a 100 degree day D.A. is going to be about the same as being up in Montana at 8-9k on a sunny day.

MFJJ says that at elevation your arrows will impact high due to less effect of gravity at elevation. True. He said the best way to mitigate that is to just drop your draw weight a bit. In my experience dropping draw weight can affect draw length and cam timing. Why not just set the dial at 40 yards and then tweak the whole housing to get 40 back to hitting spot on? Seems like this would minimize other changes that can come with changing draw weight.
