MESSAGE SUMMARY
Numbers chapter 20 picks up thirty-seven years after the events in chapter 19, and the new generation of God's chosen people have started falling into old patterns of sin. In this study, Pastor Skip unveils a typology of Christ and shares insight into how we can deal with anger and grief.

When Pastor Skip was talking about how to handle anger I was also reminded of Hebrews 12:3 - “But consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself - lest you become weary and discouraged in your soul.” When Jesus was being whipped and beaten and tortured on the cross He could have incinerated all of them in one blink of His eye. But instead He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”

As a first-timer going through the bible and studying it like this, is it weird that I get attached to these people and get sad when they die? When it's Moses' time, I'm probably going to get weepy. And this isn't some fiction novel. It's history.
And that makes these people even more real in my mind as I read and learn and study.

Erin as a believer keep in mind that you too will be “gathered to your people” in the next world and in fact since you have eternal life we will all get to meet these heroes of the faith face to face - we have all eternity to worship God in the beauty of holiness and enjoy Him forever!
I'm also getting too attached to them and also learning alot and understanding GOD in a never before way

With all due respect Pastor Skip, the Catholic Church teaches that in mass, Crucifixion is not repeated but we as the Church go to that time to commemorate in mass what Jesus sacrificed. It is the Church through Holy Spirit participating in Christ’s offering to the Father. I could be wrong but this is what I’ve learned so far into the beautiful (original) teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Teachings of Christ in the Bible does not teach for the disciples or any followers of Christ to worship Mary or any human being that the Pope and his committee declared as Saints either. They are all idols and God commander man “ Thou shalt not have any other gods before me.
Thou shalt not worship any graven images. “ Exodus 20:4
All relics are idols including Mary worship. Mary is a vessel not a mediator between Man and God . Jesus is the only way , truth and the life, never Mary. Catholicism teaches these false doctrines . I know, I went to Great Catholic schools growing up.

Hi Maia, Like Pastor Skip I too was brought up as a RC as was my husband. Please let me quote to you from the Rc catechism of Christian doctrine Q. 278: THE HOLY MASS IS ONE AND THE SAME SACRIFICE WITH THAT OF THE CROSS, INSOMUCH AS CHRIST WHO OFFERED HIMSELF, A BLEEDING VICTIM ON THE CROSS TO HIS HEAVENLY FATHER, CONTINUES TO OFFER HIMSELF IN AN UNBLOODY MANNER ON THE ALTER THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF HIS PRIESTS. Thus Maia the teaching of the rc church is that Christ is offered every time the mass is repeated. This is totally against the teachings of Scripture and is more like the heathens who did up the dead body of their ancestors! it is very grim!
@@piemiller4433 Catholics aren’t bible only Christian’s, we are the fulfilment of Judaism, we have a magisterium, and holy tradition, including oral tradition handed down by the church fathers, which includes not worship, but reverence to the Mother of God, ( who is your mother too, given to us by Christ on the cross). We don’t consider saints to be idols either. 🤦♀️. Statues aren’t worshipped as false Gods, represent the God to whom we idolise.

Amen Pastor! When you still worry after you have prayed in Jesus’ name, then you are insulting God because you really did not mean what you prayed for and you do not really have the faith that you said you have.
Oh dear Pie, you know you must have compassion on us lesser mortals as we are just people who don't get things right all the time! I have been a Believer in Yeshua for about 38 years now and I make loads of mistakes when I pray! God is still working on me and hopefully I will be able to pray in absolute faith and believe everything I pray for will come to pass one day, but you know sometimes when I am struggling with life, and people are cruel and I cant stop crying due to the weight of the burdens in my life, I pray and hope with all my heart I am praying right, but I am just a dust person. I have no intention of insulting God and do not believe that I am, I pray constantly and hopefully and I know the Holy Spirit is there turning my bumbling prayers into something wonderful! Please do not criticise me as it is the last thing I need!
