That's the quietest Cleese performance ever... I bet just being in the same room as Cook and Moore was a catalyst for the wonderful Python lunacy that followed. As an Australian, I'm sad that we saw very little here of these two comic marvels in their heydays. Brilliant English comedians...... I wish they could all live eternally.

@@raithbheartaigh4946 , thanks for the link , I think I may have seen some of their Aussue shows on RUclips...from memory they were called "Pete and Dud , The Lost Tapes " wonderful talent .
@@garyjones5406 That DVD is good, I've got it...very little else available to buy, as you say there are more sketches on RUclips. The fools at the BBC wiped most of the masters.
@@raithbheartaigh4946 , yes mate , its always a case of 20/ 20 hindsight when it comes to talent like theirs. At the time , 90 % of people didn't appreciate nor understand what they were watching and therefore placed little value on the recordings...I imagine . I know my Dad always appreciated Duds musical skills but the comedy just didn't click with him ..and many others I'd guess.
@@raithbheartaigh4946 I was going to buy this in a hot second once I saw your link, but the seller won’t post it to the US. I’m gonna go cry in a corner for a week…

50 years ago and holds up beautifully.
This is great! I've never seen it before, but it's typically brilliant.
Wonderful. I haven't seen this before. Right from the beginning, how do they not laugh?

He realy does look like his son!
Must be one of John Cleese's first gigs as the butler...
