Thank you so much for posting this song! Sad or happy, he is possibly the greatest storyteller of our time. Next Bruce song if possible: Sherry Darling. An absolute fun song to listen to and enjoy. A pure party song! Thanks again! 😃😊
Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg Sweden and I was there to take it in live. The saxophone is played by Jake Clemons who is, I believe, the nephew of Clarence Clemons of the original E-Street band. You should look for his Ullevi Stadium breakout Jungleland performance for the first time after the passing of the great Clarence. Keep it up!
Greetings again!! Not so much sad, but true love and emotion for his lady. As with all of his songs, as sad or deeply emotional they can be, he'll always leave a hint of optimism, some daylight in the darkness to give the spirit hope. Here he pleads for her to "dry you eyes baby, let's go to bed" and not to worry about his love for her, it's eternal. Such a beautiful opening melody with the "Professor" Roy Bittan on piano and Mr. Garry W. Tallent with a soothing bass line setting up the mood of the song. Great reaction, keep rockin!!
Jake Clemons is the saxophonist. He is the nephew of Clarence Clemons and joined the band in 2011 after Clarence’s death.
