    Oxidation is deepening the colors...the longer it sits at room temp the darker it will get ...thx for a nice tutorial💯💜

      That also happens in the fridge, doesn't it? It doesn't have to be RT for oxidation...

      You always want to use paste gel coloring with frostings! Liquid colors are water base and change the consistency of your frosting.

      Do you mean how would the colors look if you started with a more yellow buttercream? While I would love to make videos all day long they do take a lot of time! If you're concerned about starting with a yellow buttercream I do have a vanilla buttercream recipe that ends up pretty close to white as-is! Would i only put white gel color in it to make it white ?will it affect the taste?

    • @SugarandSparrow
      @SugarandSparrow  2 года назад

      Yes, the white color gel (or icing whitener) will make your yellow buttercream whiter in color and shouldn't affect the taste or consistency. This is the icing whitener I love: amzn.to/3wwTqGu

    hi can i use liquid food color instead of gel?

    • @debjudisch5548
      @debjudisch5548 3 года назад

      Doesn't work. The liquid food coloring is water-based and by the time you use enough to get ANY color at all, your frosting has changed too drastically. Always best to use gel. It is unfortunate as gel colors are pretty pricey! I looked up some of what she uses and one set was $125 and one was $170. I would never be able to afford those!

    Hi it would be great, If you could do a tutorial from scratch on baking a chocolate cake, with ingredients, and how long to mix the wet ingredients and after mixing them all together how long does it take to mix the whole batter with techniques and tips... Coz most of the times the chocolate cake bubbles and spills over the oven when we try to follow any baking video on RUclips

    • @debjudisch5548
      @debjudisch5548 3 года назад

      Wow...your pans must be too small or something! And are you sure that your ingredients are well mixed together? If you begin by using a boxed cake mix until you get the hang of it, and you follow the instructions, I cannot imagine why you are having these issues. At least with a box to follow, until you actually master some baking skills, you don't have measuring/etc. involved. THEN go to attempting homemade baked goods.
