No, it’s not 3 Tonys in the group. The group is comprised of Raphael Saadiq, his brother Dwayne Higgins, and others. This group had many hits thru the 90s. Review their slow jam classic “Anniversary”. Raphael Saadiq is a songwriter and solo artist.

Technically, "Ask of You" isn't a Tony Tone Toni song. It's just Raphael Saadiq (the group had broken up). But the label forced them to put release it as a Tony Tone Toni song and it pissed Raphael off. But anyway...yes...I love that song too.

So glad you got to them and like them! I want to see them in concert this weekend in Dallas! TTT (all names pronounced the same) is not a group; they were a band of six members. You can find out their heartbreaking story in the TTT Loyalty No Royalty documentary. They started in the 80’s and by the 90’s there were only 3 bands left that I could think of: Tony Toni Tone, Mint Condition, and Jodeci. TTT had SO MANY bangers- please check out another! (Whatever You Want, Anniversary, Lay Your Head on My Pillow, Me and You…) My other favorites are from their last cd and were not released as singles. Sorry for the long post.
