- Creek fishing for SALMON is as fun as it gets. It is just crazy these monsters stack up in such a small area, and catching trout/salmon from clear water creeks is very intense !
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING, PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBE!!! Спорт
Sight fishing is hands down the most fun in the world. That king was so beautiful/ugly. They really turn into a whole other kind of fish when they are older. Great video!
From kings of the river...to Gothic lords...
haha agree with everything you said. being able to see them makes it so much more fun!
Great Video! I'm in Michigan right now for work and I'm hoping I can do a little fishing while I'm here. The last time I was in Michigan I was at BootCamp and for some reason, they wouldn't let me fish...lol!
haha hope you can get out man, right now the salmon are running!
He walks on water!
My heart is still racing as I write this!!
Another *BEAST* from Ty!
Thanks!!
Thank you very much for watching!
@TyPigPatrol you slaying the beasts brother awesome job 😊😮
Amazing transparent fish ladder!..the battering those fish must take as they navigate those boulder waterfalls in their epic journeys.......spirit of the salmon!
yeah it is just crazy. imagine a bass doing that, wouldnt make it up the first jump lol
Hey Ty that was my very first big fish I ever caught when I was 8 years old and I will never forget took me down river so far I had to run down the creek. Caught it in Exeter place called Bayfield Ontario.
But I also wanted to say I caught my PB large yesterday 8.14lbs in my home town St.thomas Ont!!!
Ont as in ontario? an 8 lb largie that far north is absolutely massive man! huuuge congrats!
I love seeing videos from Michigan it has some of the best fishing ever
agreed Brian! Thanks for watching!
That was some epic fishing, that salmon was huge!
Thank you very much brother!
Racine? Nice. I was born in Milwaukee. Thanks for sharing brother!! 👍🏽👊🏽✊🏽☺💯
Thanks brother!
Your videos are a lot of fun to watch thank you for bringing us along with you for the ride
I know I'm old, and this will show my age, but I don't know any way to say this any better. This video was just plain "cool." Thanks for posting!
Good to see you checking out WI. I live just North of where you were fishing (Root River). The Pike, Root, Milwaukee and Oak Creek are all fun tributaries for Salmon and Trout.
Love it ty!!! Idk about you, but as a man who just moved to Michigan from NC the first time I saw a king salmon in person it blew my mind how big they are. Great vid!
yeah agreed my friend, such incredible fish and so fast.
Those fish ladders are pretty cool to see. Especially the underwater view.
so cool man, I was blown away!
Ty ALWAYS delivering some magic!
Almost like Santa Clause in the middle of summer!

Great video with great enthusiasm and respect for nature fish on and happy labor day 2023 send rain plzzzz to Texas we need rain TKS for the video
Heading back to texas soon, man i wish it would cool down more.
Salutations Ty..........and WOW!
When salmon sporting that size of tooth and thickness of frame pay you visit, they are more than simply beastly; they possess a rare countenance that I find equally terrifying and beautiful! Congrats!
I wondered; have you wrestled with a Mongolian Taiman? I haven't yet, and though I would like to, I've only sparred with giant creek chub, by comparison! Cheers and Blessings to You,
and All Them that are Yours!
Happy Flippin'!
Thank you very much J! I havent messed with Taiman man, i really want to, especially with artificials. the places they catch them at are crazy too!
Ty, becoming the American version of Jeremy Wade 😁👍
Another terrific video. Thank you ty
Thank you very much Marg!

I want to try it for big fish! maybe some big bluegills!
Oh my God what a great video, Ty.
love this video ty you are the best on youtube
Thank you very much Ron!
Great video as always. I was just down at a local river with my daughter and we landed a big male just like your first fish (shy of 25lb), just more silver as it was right at the mouth to Lake Ontario. They fight so hard it's a blast.
thats so cool man, had to be a great battle!
@@TyPigPatrolIt sure was, I think my 5 year old was more excited than I was. Keep up the great content Ty.
Dang! You have all the fun...💪👊
Thanks for watching GIl hope all is well!
Heya Ty great video looks like fun and the fish ladder in the beginning was awesome thanks for including that....Just curious at any point during the spawn run can any fish be kept or is the whole run catch and release?
Heading up in 48hrs! Yeeeyeeee 🤙🏻🇺🇸
nice man perfect timing!
So cool to see salmon and steelhead thriving in the Great Lakes when they are threatened on the West Coast.
Those are some big fish. Neat video
Thanks Edward!
That was crazy cool, in skinny, shallow water!
Another awesome video well done
Thank you Clyde!
Biggest king I caught was 39 lbs in the river current using 10 lb. trilene big game. Great experience
how many hours you have into that fight/
Haha, big game is no joke! It probably takes 40lbs to brake 10lb Big Game. After fishing with all kinds of super lines I went back to it for most situations!
@@TyPigPatrol 40 min bro.
Silly American, they’re called Chinook
Insane stuff!!!
Thanks brother!
I have great memories of catching salmon in a Grand River by Lake Erie - but nothing g that big! Awesome fun guys! Enjoy!
Thank you very much man!
TY that was so cool seeing them jump up to the next level. Now you say they milk them to get the eggs how do they catch them without hurting or stressing the fish out .?
they just net them, gather the eggs, and then put them down a tube that goes into the river again, and they continue their journey!
It NEVER fails or Anything YOU
CATCH THE MONSTERS
Super saumon king 👏👍🏻. Bravo félicitations
💜🎣 Happy Sunday
Thank you brother!!!

They sure get crazy looking during the spawning runs. I have seen some.gnarly looking brown trout, too...they get huge hookjaw like that and pretty gnarly teeth too. They even get nearly as big as a king. I am talking fish that never see open water and spend their entire time in the river systems. Trout can sometimes be shrugged off as peaceful fishing but most of em get gnarly.when big. Brookies even...big teeth on a big brook trout, big hooked jaw on the males. My town is overtaken by salmon fishers right now cause there is a tournament and they let people.get drumk and camp just about anywjere. I stay away this time of year but I see them (chinook) surfacing all up the river a block from my house. Last year I went way up the river without my fishing tackle and got right in amongst 3 footers with my little dingy. They were bouncing right off the boat in 1 to 2 feet of water. I tried to get go pro footage but the water was too murky. I prefer to fish for the rainbow trout in the rivers here cause they are mostly ignored for salmon, and unless you have a boat to go out on the bay and get the salmon fresh, they arent much good to eat during the run.
I really want a huge brown man....a 20 plus would be the coolest fish ever.
@@TyPigPatrol Me and my cousin picked one up by hand that was locked in a tiny stream after the water levels dropped and it couldnt get back to the river...its back was sticking out of the water and it was stuck in some roots of an undercut. It had lots of abrasions from trying to escape. This thing was big enough we could barely hold it on the steep banks of the creek. We climbed down, and a friend went and got a net...we were able to put it in the net, up the bank, and then released it in the river...it was well over 36" long and well over 20lbs. Huge spawning male. We were young and wanted to keep it, it was surely the record but since we hand grabbed it, we were told to throw it back so we did. This is Ontario, Canada. Saugeen river system. I also saw a record breaker numerous times on my friend's property on the South Saugeen...multiple times. They used to watch it chase minnows at their swimming hole. One day when we were swimming, i spotted it with its head sticking out of a culvert right beneath my feet...same thing...over 3 feet long...big male. Intold my friend to go get his fishing rods...he comes back with...a pitch fork and tries spearing the damn thing. Idiot. It hung around that stretch of river for a few years...my neighbour fell into a beaver damn whole chasing it lol. You know what beaver dam mud smells like? Lol. If you want a record brown, not an ugly lake one either...try the Saugeen river system in Ontario, Canada. Loads of 20"+ browns. We use worms, spinners, and chub tail (literally the removed tail of chub on a hook floated in the current into the undercuts and log jams. The big browns are in the hardest to fish places lile beaver dams and log jams. I have got a ton of 20"+ inch browns on my line but never landed a 36"...largest was 31" and it was from a spring creek fed man made pond, so kinda cheating. Wild trout, but unatural environment. It even looked weird, really pale colors on brookies and browns from that pond.
That was awesome.
Thank you Charles!
Heck yeah my kind of fishing right here
Thanks for watching brother!
awesome catches ..
Thank you Rich!
👍 thanks looked like fun.
Thank you Carlo!
I went there last year. It was awesome.
yeah really cool to see the stocking area!
great video
THank you very much!
i love fishing its my favorite thing to do when im bored
Those Fish Were Really Nice
Thank you very much brother!
Chinook salmon don't like the net at all LOL, you're making me wish I was home on the West Coast it's that time of year, you can toss a Gibbs minnow right in front of salmon when they are running the rivers and they will instinctively grab it. Or just drift the boat and jig in the deeper holes, man I miss it so much
I miss it too man, this was last year. such cool fish and hard to beleive what they go through in their lives.
Bro you walking the same steps I have my whole life is driving me nuts 🤣 I knew I should've been filming a lot longer than I have....
we both should have started 20 years ago tbh.
@@TyPigPatrol FACTS

We are used to seeing that in the Great Lake States!
Get’em brother GOD BLESS
Thank you very much!
👍😎
Thanks brother!!!!
This man and Josh has inspired me to fish small bodies of water to catch giants.. even tho Josh's voice is annoying but that makes him unique to youtube!!!
hahahah thank you for watching man!
What is your opinion about the kastking estuary inshore rods
Killer! check out some of my saltwater videos, I love them !
👍
Thanks brother!
Finally! Some light on WI. Is that the root river?
yes indeed it is good eye!
I live in NYC . I do fishing many Years .I learned it will be catch and release. where and when will be a good time for catch and release . Thanks.
they dont eat once they hit the rivers which is why they start dying, more often than not they just suck in bait or the line sitting in the current, once in a while you can irritate them into hitting the lures. used to go to US side tribs for rainbow and didnt even want to tail them salmon, treble hooks all up the back side , amazing to see people dragging the boots home to eat 😂
He def flossed that fish😂😂
I’m in Minnesota and I’ve heard that salmon start running in creeks and rivers soon. Where would I go to cash these fantastic fish? I live in the Twin Cities so I imagine I would have to go north. Any idea fellow fishing addicts?
Lake Superior has a few tributaries that salmon run through, although King/Chinook salmon runs are not as thick in number as compared to Lake Michigan tributaries. Unfortunately, the salmon fishing in Superior tributaries is just simply better on the Wisconsin side (not too far from the border). The Brule River has a few spots people fish. The further you go into Wisconsin the more rivers there are. I personally have never fished the Flag or the Cranberry but salmon are known to run through them as well. Tight lines and wish you the best.
And what I mean by "better on the Wisconsin side" I mean to express that the St Louis River does hold Pink Salmon but Chinooks (Kings) will be much harder to find.
@@junebuggin354 Thank you so much!
The casting net would be SO tempting. 😂
that's insane.
Ty-Is that a big one? Other guy- yeah it’s huge. Me- duh it’s Ty fishing of coarse it’s huge lol.
haha thank you very much Martin!
Dude, you should check out the Milwaukee Zoo for their excellent aquariums of native fsh, as well as others
ooooh i didnt even know they had one, thanks!
@@TyPigPatrol you're welcome, and keep the cool videos coming! I grew up in SE Wisconsin and spent the first 12 or so years of my life making yearly visits to that zoo. I always loved the fish and reptile exhibits, and it's a really good zoo in general.
It's like a four wheel drive fish
hahahha yes perfect.
Steelhead facility at the root river. Nice.
Such a cool place! i learned so much!
@@TyPigPatrol tell me about it. I lived in Racine Wisconsin for about 30 years. I lived like about 20 minutes away from there. Its a really nice place to look at too.
When was this filmed? Seems early for coho
You're in Wisconsin? Swing by Madison(or Watertown where I'm fishing today) and say hi.
This was last falll! what are you fishing for?
@@TyPigPatrol flatheads tonight.
Come fish the canals in New Zealand. We fish for 30lbers with 6lb fluro 🤣
Great day
Thanks for watching man!
I wanna see you float fish kings with the proper gear. Already been beating down on them over here in Michigan
with skane? Never tried that!
@@TyPigPatrol yeah man. I know salmon fishing isnt something super native to you, but you should try to get some skein, learn to cure it and go and catch some fish on it. You'll get so many views off the bobber downs 🤣
Snagged 😅
My younger son caught such a huge male Coho, his dad had it mounted. 😂 And his dad's not one to spend money Iike that. I'm a dingbat and can't remember exactly how big it was, but it had to be big for his dad to pay to mount it. Lol fun times. His dad still has it, he probably has claimed it as his own. I have a picture but won't share it without my son's permission. I will edit the weight into this comment when I find out. 😅
I've raised rainbow trout before and bonnet head sharks so I know they need at the bare minimum 200 gal tank depending on their size
It's about that time of year
they are in the harbor now!
@@TyPigPatrol this is solid information thank you... looks like my day became booked with fishing tomorrow
Dude those teeth are wild!
when was this
didn't think the fish were in yet
Hey to your friend to
There he is, hope all is well brother!
I'd love one for a fish tank
Morning wrestling matches.🦈
basically! Thanks for watching!
@@TyPigPatrol always .
Your next logical step is a trip to Alaska.
I want a 50 lb king salmon or a 20 lb steelhead. not sure where to go for either.
@@TyPigPatrol Big Kings would probably be the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. A 20 lb steelhead would be the Clearwater River in Idaho, or maybe coastal rivers in Northern Washington.
Maybe the best chance for both a giant king and a giant steelhead is Vancouver Island in British Columbia. You also have bonus giant halibut and long cod. That’s the sweet spot for a guy like you.
A giant halibut is like trying to pull up a huge barn door. You’ll never forget it. Plus you could pop across the sound to the Fraser River and catch some giant White Sturgeon while you are at it!
Check it out Ty!
🫡🫡 yes sir
Thanks for watching!
All those fish and I still wouldn't catch one. 😅
Yo wassup, I know a honey hole with ten pound bass 11 pounds, even thirteen wanna fish it?
Hellyeah I wanna fish it. Lol
sounds too good to be true!
@@TyPigPatrol I promise man. It was man made and we stocked it, the best time is the morning
wtf!!!!!!!!!
Hey brother
hey RR!
Not wise to grab those by the mouth ..... lol
yeah that one was crazy man, huge teeth!
Poor thing :(
The Salmon go up steam ,do their business an die, do Steelheads do the same
No skill.
Lol maybe have some respect for the fish and don’t fish for them in a foot of water snag city I bet . Cmon man do better
Those were some beautiful fish that still head was a beautiful
yeah taht steelhead was HUGE what a pretty fish!
You know if you want to catch the chromies you want to sit back and wait for them to Come Thru...... The fish that are already in spawn mode are just swimming in circles like what you're doing we call them beaters because they are done half dead...... But if you sit back and watch the water the chromies will come through fast use about a 12ft with glow yarn and whatever your current situation is like use a pencil weight and drifted the chromies will pick it up thinking that it is eggs coming out of the nest that is a natural response even for the chromies...... but I think what really happens 90% of the time is you're using such a long leader salmon are constantly opening and shutting their mouths I think a lot of the times that long leader just gets caught in their mouth until it hits the end and then you end up hooking it it's controversial I think it happens both Waze...... My biggest salmon is 50 lb 49 and some Oz basically 50 I caught it from the bank using 12 lb Maxima on a black Max Daiwa reel with a Shimano seven and a half foot rod one heck of a fight took me around an hour to get it in when I hook the fish it was completely light outside by the time I got it landed it was dark it had me down to where I could see the bottom of the spool 3 times and I just found it either I was going to turn him or he was going to break it the three times that he had me dingers. I turned them around I love Maxima best monofilament ever made stands up Joe brasion so good but that's enough about Maxima face :-) but anyways I had him 3 feet from me about 10 times and when he would see us he would get another huge burst of energy Upstream Downstream everywhere a 50lb so freaking strong when he would go back down with the current obviously is when I was getting almost fooled on 200 yards of line but anyways finally had it tired out and my uncle netted it tried to lift it by the handle and broke the handle immediately so then my cousin grabbed the ring and Drug it in...... Went to the Fisherman's Warehouse to take a picture and put it on the wall when I walked in I told him I had a 50 pounder in the truck and of course they used to people coming in and saying they got a 50 pounder 70 pounder and then they go out to the truck and it's only 20 lb yeah it happens a lot people don't know what the size of a fish is...... But when they walked out and it look like a 100 gal drum laying in the back the truck they were shitting their pants on how much girth it had it was a monster once they seamless eyes of it everybody wanted a picture with it literally customers we're asking if they could picture with it good catch...... I would love to tell you about my biggest sturgeon but that's another story it's been fun living out here in the California Delta
Yes the males fight soon as they hit freshwater the males begin to transform with big teeth hook jaw so they can battle for the females I've seen vicious fights I live on the California delta right in the middle of it born and raised out here I've seen Mel's going at it so hard they end up on the bank and flop back into the water still going at it
that would be so cool to see them battle like that!!!!
@@TyPigPatrol yeah it's definitely entertaining they bite chunks out of each other yeah sometimes you'll get three or four of them going at it
Not cool catching them on their spawning run if u aren’t going to eat them. They are super exhausted from the run, and fighting them on weak tackle like u are doing will probably exhaust them to the point where they die before they can spawn. U call yourself responsible because u catch and release, but in this case u are extremely irresponsible. Catch them in the waters of Alaska or fish after the spawn… not cool
