Thank you both so much for the show. Kathryn, I just checked out your website and enjoyed all your paintings, but particularly loved your birds, they’re so subtle and lively next to a delicate branch or stem. I could tell you’re a beautiful soul and that shines through all your paintings! Thanks.
Love the idea of the Arches Oil Paint Paper. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. Your work is gorgeous. I can hear the splashing Gamsol and just saw you spray it onto the paper. Eric mentioned a mask. I know Gamsol is not turpentine but is it really safe to have filling the air in your studio? Just concerned about you.
This is beautiful and I love the technique, but I worry about health issues with the mineral spirits. I only work in non toxic, it's just not worth the risk.

How did she mount the oil paper on the board? Did she use glue, varnish?????
I'd like to know how she mounts the paper too. I don't know if she does it before starting the painting, or after.
