at 21.48..I like how the car stopped and the steering wheel already kinda moved to follow the curb. We need v12, when making right turns to follow the curb while creeping
The start was interesting. We human dricers could have gpt out. We simly stick one corner of the car between two of them, just enough to make them give us place, withiut actually running into them. Thar works! Tesla has to collect more videos of how to do that for FSD training. It's not enough to just show that you want out. You have to threatem them too!
I'm enjoying it.I always think about installing lights so that the brakes and excels can be seen clearly during the night operation. I'm so curious how far the FSD12 version has come...
@anna-fk8ql I did not expect that question. I have never directly purchased stock in Tesla, nor do I plan to do so. That said if Tesla can bring a true self driving technology to market, that and not the electric car will change much more than the auto industry. That would be one of those seminal days when you wake up in a different world. I would buy that car, regardless of the badge in an instant. But I would worry greatly worry, that our society might not survive the change.
@k8ql Bit surprised at the question. I was going to say that I had no money in Tesla and no plans to buy stock. But that is not correct. Tesla is one of the holdings of a mutual fund in which I do own shares. A rough calculation shows that Tesla is about $430 of my vast financial holdings. 🙂
@anna-fk8ql Anna, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said yes. I comment on YT and post on a couple of forums related to astronomy and astro-imaging, but I found FB et al to be a major timewaster. Connect with one old friend and before you know it people you know nothing about are sending you vacation photos and sharing everything that comes their way, It was exhausting and aggravating. The final straw was the congressional testimony of the owners of these sites. Their easy lies and arrogant and patronizing attitude, showed that we've gone in the wrong direction since the days of Google saying, "do no harm". Sorry again, I wish you well. If you need free advice about telescopes or astronomy cameras, there is a listing in general for sale - by owner on the SF Bay Area CL that is worth a look. I know the fellow and he generally replies fairly quickly.
It was a smooth ride. However, 24:01 not impressed with it pulling over into a cycle lane. I don’t know the law in the US but if it does that were I live thats a penalty. Hopefully they will implement it with the traffic regulations, rather than just driving without knowing the rules and just trying to emulate what others do.
I wonder if the bad move in the very beginning was an example of a hallucination: where the AI exhausts all of it's valid weights and just makes up something invalid and does it? I'm not sure they've solved the hallucination problem and that might be the reason that the rest of us have an excrutiatingly long wait for v12?
Bingo! They should be able to have it run a ‘low level’ basic check (is there anything i will crash into in front of me before i proceed - like lidar) before the car proceeds but they dont want to do that second check for some reason.. they say they dont know which to believe but i think the two checks are two separate things - not about where to go but - ‘can i proceed’..
I'm pretty disappointed that the car will stay in the far left lane on highway. In my state the law is to keep right except to pass, so far that is only respected in navigate on autopilot.
Anyway, Omar, I don't know why you backed out of letting Tesla squeeze in there? Was it actually not realistic? It was difficult to decipher from the video. I might have said something like Elon we are going all in ....back us up..
It's totally different when you have someone else in the car. The risk becomes too great. I'm sure he would have let it do its thing if they weren't in the car.
@@AdamWood They were moving from a stop. As I said, I would have done it and ask for Elon's blessings to see what happened so that FSD can learn more through AI.
I think even the people in the car are misunderstanding or not completely comprehending how impressive this is. I mean listening to your passenger is odd no offense. Just weird he doesn’t realize the improvement yet says he has v11. The change and progress is amazing and people need to open their eyes. That or get some glasses so their brains can comprehend what a 10 year old can
Sorry Alvie. V11 sucks. And it would NEVER have reached L4 autonomy. A v11 car probably would have made many weird moves on this drive w steering wheel spinning back and forth. V12 is just soooooo much better than any release before. It's not even close. Sorry but v11 sucks. Every single vid I have ever seen of v11 had some errors, failing at the most mundane things, inconsistencies (hello speed bumps or narrow roads), steering wheel jerkiness or other disappointment. V11 could do many things very well, but you would ALWAYS EXPECT some errant behavior and imminent disengagement or override required. I can't stress it enough. V11 sucks.
@@aguzman222 took 1 minute to drive itself into a near accident in static traffic. Human mental models of reality couldnt fit on like 20 tesla chips probably, so its still far away.

Thanks!

Agree, but it will be a difficult task to give AI a broader back in traffic threatening to do stuff and prevent the AI apocalypse at the same time.
I foresee AI rage as AIs compete for the best spots in lanes
Those highway lane changes are slick

2023,44,30,20 / FSD Beta v12.2.1 installing in my 2020 Model 3 as I write this! Going to give it a spin as soon as the rain lets up. Whoopee !

No... he did exactly what some drivers would have done.. take up the small sliver of space and force the other driver to give way. I like it.
17:47 honestly that car zooming by with fsd not getting phased amazes me
CT fit in your garage pretty nicely.
Nice!!

Awesome !!!
V12.2.1 downloading. So its has gone public right now! Can’t wait for it to install to test. 60%…..

There is a setting in a menu to exit the passing lane, it seems to work to keep out of the left lane
keep it coming!
Very nice. Have you noticed if it at all pays attention to no turn on red signs?
damn, it's really good V12
Nice! Thanks for jailbreaking v12 O so we all can see it. Even though it still makes mistakes its starting to look adult. Want it 😅

Next pizza restaurant trip: 'I'll take you there in my Tesla and we can talk about fsd12'.
'Er, that's ok, we'll meet you there'.
I can’t wait
Guess I should ask, who is Alvie?
What's it all about?
The car at 5:11 was funny to me lol. No right on red from a left lane. 😬😂

It's amusing to note how your swearing depends on who is in the car with you.

I completely agree with Omar on Apple's overpriced underperforming quest headset.
Don't waste your money on something like that, it's not worth it.
Apple ? Noooo I am Android all the way ? I would never buy an Apple some one took a bite out of 🤣😂😆
