One! Two! Three! Four! Rest in peace Ramones
Me and my mother one night got into a discussion on what the best rock band of all time was. By dawn I suggested the Ramones and we agreed it was them. I miss her.
It's not a punk rock band. It's a punk rock machine.
punk rock GUN machine
Punk Rock Gods who descended on Earth to entertain us. We were ever so lucky to witness such greatness in our lifetime. RAMONES FOREVER!!! GABBA GABBA HEY!
Richie was the best drummer of the Ramones! ✌😏
This was probably recorded right through the soundboard!!!!!
I miss the 85 show in Chicago I was too stupid I went to dad Kennedy's instead but I saw them in '91 on escape from New York tour with blondie so that made up for it love love Ramones and I'll never give up my vinyl
❤
such a unique amazing voice.. ♥️♥️JOEY♥️♥️
Absolutely the best ever rocknroll voice and vocalist in the whole universe. JOEY FOREVER.
Linda’s hate for Richie is why this won’t be released again or a full release. He sued for what was rightfully his (and Mickey who owns 50% of the ramones supported Richie). It’s a shame, this period has so many gems and great shows.
I agree, this smash you live 85 should be released in its entirety, it’s a great show and if these 8 songs were professionally recorded in great quality then I’m sure the rest of the show is too. The band is firing on all cylinders here and this is my favourite Ramones concert post-1980
That version of Howling at the Moon is fantastic! I wish they would've included that in their sets more often.
One of the best album live.....Just to short
Awe '85 was a horrible time for me, mom was on drugs and I was in the oven. When I came out it was all down hill from there.
como se los extraña loco !!!!
Verdad loco!!! Cuantos recuerdos lindos tengo....

'I don't Wanna go Down to the Basement' in 1 minute 22 seconds, hot damn Richie was fast!
Dude, all of them made this song just as fun to listen to. Faster, heavier, and louder.
@@MasonRamone Ritchie Ramone was a big factor in it though
he sure took Ramones to the next level. Marky was off trail at that time due to his alcohol-problem. I can understand why Richie gave up. Johnny's urge to keep control of the band and all merchandising. Richie (IMHO) was a far better drummer (technically) than Marky but in the end: Ramones is not what technics are about: it's f*cking rock'n roll in it's basic form, just a little... or maybe just some more speeded up. ;-)
@@phillarsson8253 nothing wrong with wanting a small cut of the t shirt profits.richie paid his dues he was in the band 5 years . give a guy alittle more so he can put some meat in his ramen for christ sakes.
Love it! I miss Joey!
@fitoblasde - But not on the pic cover...
Dude, it's amazing
Pretty cool! This is the only official live Richie era live release. Never heard him playing the old stuff. Interesting. He really plays the hell out of the ride cymbal (is that what's it's called) almost in leiu of the typical Ramones hi-hat. Give the old songs a different vibe.
Ramones.
Allllta versión de Howling at the moon!
Tommy era talento innato, Richie prolijo y Marky, velocidad y pasión. Todos buenos.
Being a teen in the 80’s the Ritchie era was always my favourite. In my opinion Ritchie was their best drummer plus he could sing and wrote some great songs! Tommy’s great, definitely their best producer, I could never stand Marky. Arrogant wig wearing goof!
Sounds great 😍😎🔥🎶🎵🎸
Thank you for this Upload with Joeys excellent improvisational vocals!!!!!!
RAMONERO!! hasta la medulaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Richie Ramone! The Greatest Ramones Drummer
Agreed!
Psycho Therapy sounding Hardcore Punk! Richie Ramone really banged the Hell outta them drums! He was Hard, bought the most energy, could scream in a mike, beat the living Hell out of those drums, and Punk as F*ck! Not only the best drummer The Ramones ever had but the best drummer in Punk! As well as Ritchie Ramone being a real Ramone. I don't give a Sh*t what Johnny said! Love You Ritchie Ramone!
Nope your dumb for that
@@IHATERALPH How?
@@MasonRamone tommy was and marky was and still rocks way better than Richie

Jesus Jumping Christ.... Psycho Therapy......"man we were blitzing" to quote the Man himself- Richie Ramone
Richie hardcore
How Nice very very Nice.. thank greatest
smash you is one of my favorites, such a underrated song
nice flag! is 308 from the band balzac?
It's funny that they chose THAT cover shot for the CD photo; cause it's clearly from the late 70s Marky era.
That said, AMAZING recording from the Ritchie era and really captures how good the band was even during their most "dingy clubs/nobody seems to care" era.

One person went down to the basement.
Ramones cool.
bonus CD. I got one
Lots of small changes and deviations from the usual in Johnny's guitar and Joey's vocals made this a really interesting show to listen to! Unusual sound, but cool.
What differences?
Totally agree. Just subtle enough for huge Ramones fans to notice. Ritchie's drum style adds to it too.
I just heard MeatBall Sandwich for the first time today. . Um I just want proof, the voice sounds clean.
YES
Agora eu penso, imagina o CJ tivesse pego a época do Richie?
Great show, but the bass levels seem to have dropped out.
✔️

Excellent! it really sounds as if they are still enjoying performing live at this point... at the point of Loco Live, IMO, it all seems as just another "job" to get done, unfortunately
I love loco live tbh, yeah super speed even for the Ramones, but still love it
